I agree, but just because there isn't a standard interface doesnt mean it is OK for FT to reverse engineer and steal NP's. Which is what their excuse roughly boils down to. I see no reason why FT before hacking the NP software didnt contact to tell NP of their legal point of view and offer to write a standard interface.

IMO, you need to uninstall your GFX drivers and use a cleaner program. Then reinstall them. My second guess is your PSU is too small or faulting. Third guess is one of the GFX cards is faulting. Other than that, possibly reinstall DX? IMO the best thing that the NaturalPoint people could do is offer the software at a cheaper price so that people with a webcam could use it if they wanted to. One free download for TIR customers, and then one that has support for other webcams.

There are 2 different key assignments. One for Arcade and one for Realistic. Not sure why the pause key wasnt working for you though, only time I have heard of the a problem is using remote admin software for hosting.

No it doesn't. Read the threads, its been discussed a million times. Wait until you are in the pit and then check. Unless you have done something different, this has already been proven multiple times. We wouldnt have gone through all of this effort if it was already that way by default.

That first post in the FT thread is funny. In simple terms it says, give us what you worked so hard to accomplish so we can offer it for free. What they dont understand is that NP's encryption is not an anti-competitive situation because the FT company is free to write their own 6 DOF interface, instead of hacking NPs, and then lobby the publisher to include it. If FT had wrote their own 6DOF interface, instead of reverse engineering a current one, then I am sure we would not even be in this situation.

Maybe 5 Gigs of hard drive memory... ? And I think that would be pushing it. Actually getting 5 GB of ram would hinder your performance. The only way would be 2 2GB and 1 1GB, or 1 2GB and 3 1GB. All of which would not use dual channel. And dont overclocking a bad idea? ArchAngel, you do realize the competency level of the people at Geek Squad is fairly low right? I wouldnt even allow them the opportunity to look at my computer, let alone touch it. 10%? My E6600 stock is 2.4GHz I have it running @ 3.4GHz. My new i7 920 is stock 2.66GHz, I have it running 3.8GHz. My 4870 1GB is also overclocked by more than 10%. 10%.... pffft. Sure if you dont know what you are doing maybe. But then again, I dont recommend for anyone to do ANYTHING, in relation to ANYTHING, if they dont know what they are doing. Overclocking is free money. There is not a single person that I dont suggest to investigate overclocking do some research to learn how to do it safely. My i7 920 cost $300, and is running faster than the i7 965 at stock which sells for $1300.

Your X52 profile should have nothing to do with how smooth the panning is. I would bet you have some sort of reflections around, or its not picking up your track clip very well.

Being a former Army 11H Heavy Anti Armor Infantryman and a rated expert gunner, I can tell you if you are within 3Km, I would take a shot at you. And I would most likely hit you, and that is from a HMMWV traversing unit, which is manually controlled. IIRC the M2's have much better tracking. It is theoretically possible to jam the BGM-71 although I don't recall it ever being recorded as being done. The BGM-71 has a IR and UV strobe on the rear of the missile. If you have seen one launched what most people believe to be the rocket motor on the back is actually the IR strobe. The tracking unit will monitor these strobes and can tell the relative distance between the strobe and where the cross hairs are pointed, and send proper guidance back down the wires to the missile. Theoretically if you jammed both the IR and UV beacon you could jam the BGM-71. But that is the reason it uses both IR and UV is because its practically impossible to jam.

Do you have the AP channels on? A helo IRL is very sensitive. IIRC during my beta testing I was told that IRL the pressure from your thumb and 1 finger was all you wanted to use. Imagine trying to stand on top of a ball :D

Most of the people dont fly the A2G because the fast movers doing a BS crappy worthless embarassing job of protecting them.

Since you are using RealTek I believe they have their own version of OpenAL. But I think they do the same thing.

I know it was said something about Vista memory management? Can it be explained a bit more of what the actual problem is?

IMO for a new product it seems a CH throttle and then a Logitech Force 3D Pro might be a good combination.
