  1. I think by default you can click, so I wonder if by hitting alt-c you were disabling the clickable pit.
  2. Mipmap setting needs to be at least performance, one up from high performance.
  3. I will make an effort to get a track made and check both with FRAPs for V64.
  4. Yeah we need another flare mod! There was a guy flying around the FARP in the 159th server and just unloading flares. I had to ask him to stop lol.
  5. This option does not remember itself. So I just started the instant action, took the screen shot. Alt-tabbed and made the change in task manager. Alt tabbed back to the game, took the second screen shot. Then did it again from another perspective. There was no reloading of the game or mission, all from the same instance. I also alt-tabbed out once I initially entered the cockpit, just habit from LOMAC. And I am using V64, but it should be the same process for XP.
  6. Ok first let me say I can understand why ED would change this. For those who remember when dual cores were first coming out, LOMAC had a performance issue. You would get this stuttering from the OS or something trying to load balance the CPU cores. Going through the task manager, and the process tab you could find the lockon.exe right click and go to set affinity and only check one core. The problem was that it wouldnt remember that setting. So a lot of used a program called procaff that would. Currently this is not needed since OS patches were released a while ago resolved the underlying issue. With Black Shark ED decided to change the code to start with affinity for only 1 CPU, and I would imagine anticipating the same problem. But as hinted at in another post (I need to find it again so I can give credit), there is a performance increase with affinity set for the other CPU's. Now I confirmed that DCS.exe is still only using up to 50% total CPU on my dual core, so it really makes no sense. But I got screens to prove it. Default 1 core affinity. Changed to 2 core affinity. Again, 1 core. And 2 cores. By all means try for yourself. In some cases the improvement is very good. Especially when the SHTF and the FPS gets low anyways, that extra 10 or so can make a real difference.

So far the 159th seems to get the most people, US time that is, and has a pretty good training mission that at each waypoint the threat of the targets increases.
  8. UAC is for newbs. Or the wife, but I repeat myself.
  9. IMO the DCS multiplayer interface just needs a chat and a friends list.
  10. For me I had to increase the dead zones ALOT. But then its kinda rough to slew. Thanks for the tip ryuzu. So I can program the key release for all 4 axis of the Shkval? So program the release of , . / ;
  11. Vista users need to understand that they will run into this with just about every game and piece of software out there. Not a fan of UAC myself, so I just disable it. That and the driver signing thing for V64.
  12. So as I was doing before, if I moved the cyclic and then hit the trim and then recentered, it does in fact destabalize the helo from the input of the stick returning to center. But if you hold the trim before moving the cyclic, and release when you have it where you want, then return to center. There is no issue's. Works marvelously. Definately have to learn to hold the trim when using the cyclic.
  13. I have all the axis assigned in game. Everything else is done through SST.
  14. I will give this a try. I have not been hold the trim until I center the stick. If that is in fact the case, then none of that special scripting and such is needed
  15. In order to see your wingmen in the ABRIS you both need to be on the same frequency. They are the orange dials above the weapon systems mode buttons. And then your self ID needs to be different. That rotary is below the abris where the autopilot button are, there are 1-4. They dont seem to pop-up until you start moving. If 2 people have the same ID, it blinks between them instead of being steady. Not sure about rearm/refuel, but I know from the start up it seems you need to be powered down. I wouldnt be suprised if you need the right tower freq also.
  16. I havent figured out the auto-route. I am sure it has to do with NAV modes and such which I havent got to yet. I have got hover working, just remember to get your speed down before you kick it on. Although I have manage the 'turn towards target'. Its on the panel above the collective to the right of your stick. There are the 4 targetting mode blue buttons in a square, its the upper left one. It seems you also need to have the heading autopilot on also.
  17. Just an FYI you are able to program the counter measures as such from the counter measure panel. You can change how many, the interval, and how many cycles. I use 3-3-2.
  18. It seems to me that ED needs to add some sort of function that axis inputs are ignored after trimming until they are returned to center. Not sure if that is even possible. I got used to in on my X52 though.
  19. Because the thread title is generally labelled X52 profiles, I attached my current one for the benefit of anyone that could use it. Not sure how to put it in PDF, but it is possible to open it in notepad.
  20. Yes. Linked to from this thread even.
  21. Yes I know, reread what I wrote. Or in other words, big explosion is not enough to penetrate the tanks armor. It will merely shake the crew up a bit, if that.
  22. I believe it is saying that it will allow Free track to work. I believe thats what this phrase means "It allows to code custom dll to transfer data from axis of your device to the simulator"
  23. Here is my current X52 (non pro) profile, with TIR. No modes yet, but some pinkie functions. File is in .pr0 format with latest software. Black Shark Initial.zip
  24. It shouldnt destroy close tanks. Newer tanks usually take a shaped charge to penetrate.
