  1. Could that be the one about TXDSG??
  2. I think he might have meant that other aircrafts need to counter the hornet once it gets this new feature.
  3. Anyway, I understood that doppler radars didn't use range gate but a velocity gate.
  4. The Harpoons when launched by the AI fly all the way at 49ft, so OP might be onto something. Track: harpoon skim alt.trk
  5. Actually it's the other way around. 2 work one way and 1 work differently. I care very little about which one has the bug, I just reported the anomally. It's up to ED to check if the SLAM is incorrect or the JDAM and JSOW are. Or maybe none of them are, which I hope, the less bugs the better experience. Thanks.
  6. Thanks, I'll report it later tonight or tomorrow when I have the chance. Regards.
  7. Attached a track, shows how 3 missiles smash the water when setting in flight low. Tried with seek small, medium and large. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. harpoon water smash bug.trk
  8. I found out that with R/BL, flight low, skim and search low they always smash the water.
  9. Do you guys see that all the harpoons always smash the water after acquiring target? Is it reported? Is it just me? Thanks.
  10. Yes thanks!!! I knew I was probably getting it wrong :S Thanks! Yes, and I thank you for that. Just take a break from that point for a second will you? Go jump in the hornet's cockpit with one slam, one jdam, and one jsow. In each one of them go to the display page and then click the OSB 6 (not 1) so you can see how jdam and jsow remain selected and powered while the slam doesn't. Regards.
  11. Yes, but I was depicting a behavior that is exclusive to the SLAM and that rises the question of why would the SLAM power down when clicking OSB 1 from display page while every other weapon with same format won't? Same with the other bug report I made about the step, why would the SLAM be the only weapon in DCS that won't step after launch? Thanks.
  12. Appareantly no. We will be in a universe where all ECM in every DCS aircraft works one way, and just one plane that works differently (hornet). I love the way it looked from wags video. But it surely rises many questions about other current simulations in the same game.
  13. Exactly, the missile should not be powered down for obvious reasons, unless you manually deselect it. With jdams, jsow, harpoon and every other weapon like these in the hornet you click the weapon OSB 1 to return from the display page and keep it selected, powered and aligning (if not yet). But with the SLAM if you click the weapon OSB button it will deselect and power down. I forgot to mention (and that is probably why you didn't understand and ED thought it was correct as is) that I was talking about being inside the SLAM DISPLAY page. I will edit the OP. Thank you! It's very easy to reproduce.
  14. Ok I tried it and distance + IFF are the only things taken into account. I had a bandint coming at me further than the cold bandit and it turned into the AACQ contact exactly when the hot one was closer than the cold one.
  15. I was trying to point out that it doesn't work like you said in the first place, like locking the closest despite being a friend. Aspect I didn't tried, but it could very well work like that in DCS.
  16. Well, I tested this and it turns out the logic works fine. If all targets are unknown then the closest one will be locked up. But now with auto IFF I found out that it locks up the closest enemy return or the closest unknown, even if the closest to you is a friendly.
  17. Hi guys, After launching a SLAM you have to manually step to the next one. This is not coherent with every other weapong in the hornet. Not 100% if it is a bug, but happy to report in case it helps. Thanks, track attached. slam step bug.trk
  18. Hi guys, When using the SLAM in the stores page there is a bug where you cannot return to the main page without deselecting and unpowering the weapon. With jdams, jsow, harpoon and every other weapon like these in the hornet you click the weapon OSB to return and keep it selected, powered and aligning (if not yet). EDIT: You have to be inside the SLAM DISPLAY page to notice that you cannot go back without deselecting and powering down the weapon. Track attached. slam return bug.trk
  19. Sorry for the spam but I just realized that FTT in current OB does display speed and heading on moving targets if you lock them up while moving. So this has to be a bug given that if the target moves after commanding FTT then speed and heading are not shown. I kindly hope this helps. Last post, thanks guys.
  20. May I ask how can you be sure about its meaning and not about its role? Just curious here.
  21. Hi guys, does correct as is mean that if the vehicle starts moving the radar will transition to GMTT? And since we don't have that yet then it can be seen as weird behavior? Thanks.
  22. Roger. I don't know what that is. Are you sure it's for ECM?
  23. What button? Can't check right now, and I'm curious
  24. I believe his question pointed more towards how you modeled ECM rather than how a specific version of a system was designed. He is asking if you plan or already have simulated the fact that IRL any noise created in an electromagnetic environment will virtually affect all said environment (in a given frequency of course!) and not a particular thing inside it. Again, this is totally outside of the 162 or 165, or any other in particular. Thanks.
  25. I know, I meant that I don't think DCS models that.
