I have to ask some questions to improve my bfm performance 1) Other than the pirouette maneuver Matt demonstrated in one of his videos, are rudders used and when during a dogfight? 2) If I want to change 180 roll, like to perform a flat scissor, what is the most efficient way to do that? Should I unload the aircraft first and then quick roll in the opposite direction? Can I simultaneously roll and pitch up? (stick in the full aft right or left position)? Should I use rudders to support the roll ? In low speed, is there any difference if I roll only with the stick or if I use together rudder in the same direction? 3) What about (slow speed) rolling scissors? Is there any different handling required in comparison to flat? And what about throttle use? Should is use full AB constantly or does it help to cut it quickly to mil power during the reversal and then full AB? 4) If I want to perform a loop with a 360 - 380 kts (fuel ca 60%), what are the optimum g' s in each phase of the maneuver?

No twist . Yes Warthog / virpil base compatible. (and yes to a tomcat throttle to)

My advice : virpil WAR BRD base (no comparison with the warthog gimbal design) + the upcoming Thrustmaster or Realsimulator.com Hornet grip (whichever comes out first). For throttle, the Thrustmaster TWCS is a good ''hornet like'' solution. Best hornet throttle replica is currently the (expensive) throttletek product.

Will the pilot become patches on his uniform? Looks little empty now . Really miss the classic mirage 2000 patch (see my signature picture) that we had in the previous pilot.

Congrats virpil! I enjoy my war brd base, eagerly waiting for the next modern grip announcement. And i'm pretty sure the dcs community wants also a modern western style throttle. My ultimate dream would be a Mirage 2000C hotas, let's hope you will do your magic.

Another vote for a F-15C full fidelity module. So we can have in DCS the complete F-14, F-15, F-16 and F-18 package.

It is very simple. The server has several slots. 1) There are two 1 vs 1 slots . In the left table (''Group'') they are defined as ''1v1'' followed by a number (1 for the first slot and 2 for the second slot) and the aircraft type. The one slot is near Mozdok AB and the other in the north of the map (in the area around Novorossyhisk and Gelendzhik AB). As you can imagine in these slots there is only one aircraft available (you can chose form several types) for the blue and one for the red side. 2) As you move down on the table the ''AIR'' - aircrafts are available. This is the main fight area with missiles and guns and is located between Batumi an Senaki Kolkhi. 3) move further down and you will find the ''GUNS'' aircrafts. Here you have only guns and not missiles. The location is in the Tbiliasi - Vaziani AB area, so far away form the main (missiles and guns area). When you choose an aircraft you will start in the respective location.

1) In the guns only area, which is in a separate location, all the airplanes have guns only and aren't loaded with missiles. 2) This is a DOGFIGHT server so the airplanes have only close combat ir missiles. But you can land in an airfield and load BVR missiles. As it says in the mission description ''Feel free to land and rearm with long range weapons but keep it to a sporty level''

Thanks! The purpose of the slot is pure dogfighting so no need to be close to an airport. As for aircraft I suggest hornet, mirage , f-15 , su-27 (so modern aircrafts, 2 full fidelity 2 fc3 - including a red one is a good compromise I think). Fingers crossed for the extra slot. Since i'm flying constantly in the server (the only one mp server for me personally), I think it would be cool if we could have another 1 vs 1 slot . Huge demand for this slot, it won't split the server community but, imo (have discussed that with several players and all agree) it will attract more players to come with us.

Mirage 2000C!! You won't find anything similar on the market , matches perfectly a current DCS full fidelity module, and of course it can be used with other modules. Otherwise a F-18 hotas
