Also there is a (serious) discrepancy between the VTH/ VTB indications. Look at the image : according to the VTH the aspect angle of the target is 175, according to the target heading line in the VTB and the respective numeric indications (target heading 325/ own heading ~180) the aspect angle should be ~145

Thanks for the pilot body! A personal wish : is it possible to have an option without the left hand ? Because it prevents clicking the buttons on the left panel (bms has a legs only pilot option) (OT would like to see this option also for the Mirage, which has a very functional on hand radar control panel under throttle). The ideal solution would be of course , if the left hand could act as a mouse cursor when the mouse is over the panel , mimicking the real life physical movement. But i don't know if it's technically possible to do this animation.

Had the snake bug again. Here is an MP track file from my last session , the bug is on the first dogfight against the f15 which I killed at 4.500 feet (note : my plane appears on the file after few min, you can fast forward the time). Perhaps the file can provide some clue about the cause of the problem. JustDogFight_MapC_v1.0d-20180417-123812.rar

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3097392&postcount=4493 ''MAG option in the PCA is used to activate magic seeker search option''. Is this planned as a part of the PCA overhaul?

P. 132 ( edit 2020 p. 136 on the updated manual ), D/RLT , it says for WP01+ ''.Distance to WP (in minutes, seconds)''. Should be in nautical miles, as it's correctly described in the next descr. line.

Also the FBW gain switch / emergency mode must be described in more detail. Capt Smiley has already done that in this post , which could be incorporated as it is in the manual with the respective diagram, and perhaps a little more explanation of it https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2621725&postcount=84 (off topic . For what stands Zp and T.S. for? As I understand the pilot should fly within the 200kts, 40000ft, m 0.95 envelope, right? What are the others 500 kts / 15000 ft limits?).

Regarding the radar screen, on p. 172 1) the ownship symbology is missing, and also an explanation that the up pointing arrow is proportional to the speed of the aircraft, 2) also there is no explanation for the dashed azimuth reference lines (are they at 60 and 120 deg. ?). 3) on p. 181 and 183 there is no explanation that the long line starts blinking at a specific azimuth angle to warn the pilot that the lock can be lost (I don't know either the exact value, it must be specified in the manual). 4) Since Razbam stated here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195997 , that '' Enhancements to electrical system logic '' are planned / worked on, the electrical diagrams must be updated accordingly with explanation, what systems are tied to which bus etc. Also a basic explanation when the Alt 1,2 and Tr switches must be used (in emerg. situations ex. when Alt 1 lights comes on, the pilots cycles the respective switch in an attempt to restore the fault etc. ) . 5) Also, a explanation when the Pelles, Souris, Becs and Emerg. oil switches are used.

HUD Altitude / speed indications in GUNS mode should move down like in MAG mode. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=203422&page=4
-
One more question. Is the current altitude and speed indications position in the upper part of the HUD (and not in the middle as in MAG mode) correct? (see switch from mag to guns at 1:20) Because if they should be in the middle position, we could enhance the snake view by raising the seat or the default view position without loosing these indications from the field of view.

See the posts above yours.

(33 : 31) Just for information, this is a very good (and known) video showing guns aiming. The circle is visible with ~300 kts 4.2g 500m range.

Thanks jojo! So here is the file. Currently, at 5000 ft, full fuel, clean configuration the ITR is 24 / 25 deg. at 350 kts. With the use of the G - limiter, from my observations, we are still limited to the 25 deg TR but at a wider speed regiment. ex. starting a turn at 440kts, 25 deg is available from around ~ 420 kts at ~380kts the g - limiter is disengaged (to avoid to much speed bleed) and the '' normal '' 24 / 25 deg. TR kicks in. (see the third turn on one of the attached files). The trick with the Split S is that we can increase further the turn capability to the above mentioned numbers. No, i'm not good, I would say semi noob. Perhaps an area that Capt Smiley may look at are the Split - S maneuvers. With instantaneous / temporarily use of G- limiter override switch currently we can achieve 28 deg. per sec. / 0.2 nm turn radious turns at ~400 kts. I think that's little to good. Attached is a tac file Edit - Oops. I'm getting an invalid file message. What's that? The file is working correctly in tac view.

According to real 2k pilots i have talked to, the aircraft has excellent low speed flight characteristics, with no / little vibration and very good handling. One said '' if you know you can fly it with 100 kts ''. Also they've said that the aircraft has sharp rolls and isn't shuffering from adverse yaw (like the rival f-16). For sure, the M2000 isn't an energy dogfighter like the f-15. On a side note, a basic characteristic of the aircraft is also that delta wing acts as a big airbrake in hard turns, forcing the enemy aircraft to overshoot. This have lead to a tragic midair collision in the 90's during a simulated DACT engagement (4 M2ks vs 4 f-16's ), where an f-16 (attacking aircraft) was in an attempt to achieve a gun kill, the M2000 made a hard brake and the f-16 tried to stay into the turn despite the small separation, resulting the collision (the vertical fin of the mirage smashed the canopy of the f-16 killing his pilot instantly). As a result our air force prohibited similar attacking maneuvers. Perhaps this is an area for potential improvement in our simulation. Of course, without real life feedback it is very difficult to fine tune the FM

Guns snake bug https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3418486#post3418486

Just for your information, in our Mirage 2000EG the VTB switches have 3 functions 1) as described above, they are used from the pilot to insert an A/A target, which is yet outside radar detection parameters. The position / altitude are passed to the pilot from CGI 2) they are used to insert Exocet anti - ship missile parameters. 3) they are used in conjuction with the INS to insert on the display various navigation lines / points etc.

Zeus stated a while ago that the radar will benefit from the new A/A radar technology developed for the F/A-18. But i don't know if that's the reason behind the (radar improvement) delay. Have to admit that the last ASM update was back in January / February 2017 IIRC.

Thanks! There is also a cockpit mod you can look at https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201335&page=6. Btw, is it possible to have the Cicognes squadron as official skin?
-
Amen, IMO it's the very first thing that must be corrected from Zeus

I'm experiencing something like this Look at 1:55 forward, the circle never appears on the snake, although the target is close and g's are low. And the guy can even achieve a gun kill, how is that possible? If he had brake the radar lock, i'm pretty sure that the target would be at the 300 m line. But at the same exact position, the circle isn't there with a radar lock.
-
The problem is that if you pull above ~2.5 g's , the gun reticle disappears constantly at the bottom of the HUD . So you have to come very close to the target, and even then if you pull even medium g's and make lead turns, the circle will appear momentarily , travelling very fast (due to the lead turn / closure rate to the target) along the snake line, making it difficult to aiming precisely. Yes, the M2000 has 30mm guns (in comparison to the 20mm guns of the f-15), but I don't know if the current implementation of the lead angle is correct or excessive . Here are some hud tapes (watch especially the second one from 1:16 - 1:47 I cant' do that in the game).

+1 for the Tornado.
