  1. May I suggest to move the classic blue camouflage of the mirage 2000 on the blue side? Makes more sense since this is the camo for France AF (= blue side).
  2. I have a question about the RDO mode, which will force the radar to soft lock (PID) the first priority target. From my observations so far , this works only once per each mode selection and only if the mode is enabled with a target in the radar scope. So if I have an RDO locked target at 12' , and I notch to the side to brake his radar lock, when I turn towards the target with RDO still enabled, there is no auto radar lock and I have to move the TDC over the contact and lock it manually, which costs several critical seconds. Or I have to deselect the mode and select it back when the contact is on the radar screen. Enabling the mode without a radar contact (in the example above, while still performing the return turn towards the target after the notch) also doesn't provide a auto lock as soon as the contact is detected by the radar. The other alternative of course is to enable again / for the first time the RDO mode only after I have the radar contact , but this is not very user friendly, since the RDO button is not a HOTAS button (no cheating by maping this to my joystick). In the example, I have to move the mouse - a real pilot his left hand - over the respective PCA button while still performing the back to the target turn - mostly a high g 90 degr. turn at low altitude - it can be dangerous. Is this supposed to be so? And also, what are the locking criteria, the radar will lock the closest contact or the contact with the biggest closure speed? Secont question, the target intercept line starts to blink when moving to the edge of the radar scan cone. My understanding is that is a caution to the pilot that radar lock can be lost, right? And at which degress of azimuth starts the blinking?

  5. Fsx has this option with the fsx recorder program. Very useful for practicing formation flying ofline with yourself! I fly a flight as i would as nr.1 (very smooth turns, steady speed etc) and then playback the mission flying as nr.2. It would be very cool to have this option in dcs

    VTB switches

    Bump for the mark points bug, they don't appear on the VTB and also their respective data on the PREP page (was annoying in the last MP I flew)
  7. I can imagine that the VAD function is useful for entering the Final Approach Point / Fix or any other point on the approach procedure. Is there any other operational use for this function?
  8. The important thing is that we get a tornado. I personally would prefer a cold war (=golden era) tornado gr.1 / ids. My favourite version is the marineflieger variant with the old paint sheme (grey / white). Favourite theater is the Baltic sea environment and favourite mission a low level night anti ship attack in the cold winter against Russian fleet with kormoran missiles. The Desert storm theater is also very cool. I think, razbam should also considering to create theaters.

    VTB switches

    From my understanding, mark points are stored as WP nr. 91, 92, 93 (the respective M91 etc light illuminate on the PCN). So I create first a mark point by pressing the respective button on the PCN (i can select it with the DEST key + 91,92,93) and then i press PREP -> 91 or 92 or 93 -> VAL but no symbol appears on the VTB. Bug or I am missing something?

    Flight control

    The visit to the M2000 airbase was awesome! Here are some infos (some are slightly of topic:( but still interesting :)). 1) Indeed, the M2000 inverted will go down without any input from the pilot. No -1g force applied from the FBW. to keep the vertical flight path. 2) There is no radar altitude autopilot mode, and , according to the pilots, it would be not useful for air to sea attacks in the Aegean environment 3) Finally, i learnt what the heck are the W (0:53) and M (1:03) hud symbols in the following video W is a warning for a (not serious) malfunction in the radar electronics, it can be cleared by pressing a button. M stands for memory mode. If the radar is about to lose lock from a locked target, target data are reserved for few seconds in the radar memory. 4) Through the buttons around the VTB, the pilot can not only input a virtual target , but (and that is the main use) he can program on the ground all the firing parameters for the exocet missile (i will ask what these parameters are in a future visit). The exocet is displayed on the PCA as '' M(Missile)39'' 5) Also on the PCA , ADF stands for Air Defence Flight (= intercept of civil planes = Police mode) and AGG for Air to Ground Gun 6) The pilot retards smoothly the throttle at around 50 feet altitude above the runway.

    VTB switches

    Will the other switches (functionality of them was discussed in another thread in the past) be implemented in the future? And by the way, is it realistic to complete the module until end of the year?

  19. Of course i know that, but they are developing the E version, and, by the slow progress they are making on their training aircraft, i don't know when (or if) the F1 will be released by them. Prefer 100% razbam to do that.
  20. Please please please please the Mirage F1C ! To complete the entire Mirage family (III , F1, 2000)!
  21. Is any M2000 stuff planned? And also, an Airbus sidestick addon for the Warthog would be amazing, for the upcoming Fslabs addon!
