VEAO has official announced, they won't be making the tornado, because it ' being done by another 3rd party . http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=159076&page=4. (post 36) So who's developing the aircraft, if not Polychop?

And since you have the knowledge, could you also explain the Hyd 1 and 2 switch? From what i ' am understanding Hydraulic pressure on system 1 and 2 are arleady displayed, through the two respective needles, right? What is the purpose of the switch ? (to show pressure in the Ancillary and Emergency brake subsystem like in the F1?).

Have made countless 1 vs 1 engagements against an Ai . Had vs tuaf scenario. Always against an f16c 2 aim 120 + 2 aim 9 . I have 2 530+ 2 magic I have very good kill to death ratio Part of my developed tactic is the described manouver

I turn to the side the contact in the radar screen is pointing. 15 - 20 deg . offset you have to commence the turn /dive as soon as the target is starting the turn, otherwise contact is lost.
-
I remember Zeus said in a post, commenting an intercept video he posted on YouTube, that the biggest mistake you can do when the target is starting the beaming turn, is to fly straight ahead to him. After experimenting in 1 vs 1 bvr engagements against AI, and without having the technical knowledge, I have found that I can maintain in most cases the radar lock, by turning about 20 deg to the side, the target is commencing his defensive turn, and loosing some altitude.

By the way, the posted video (together with part 1) provides en excellent presentation of the Mirage 2000EG. I have already translated the most interesting points here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2468699#post2468699

Photo from the HUD pedestal panel. Haven't tried the mod yet, from the posted preview photos the AfterBurner cutoff switch (no. 43 in razbam's manual, nexto to EMER OIl switch) should be : [switch] AB OFF

I hope some day i can fly in dcs with a mirage f1cg! [ame] [/ame]

Already posted video. S530 at the beginning (although target is very close) . Watch also how the magic range scale changes from nm to meters at / below 1,9 nm (34 - 3400m) [ame] [/ame]

I have posted several pictures from haf MIRAGE 2000 cockpit, it' might help you. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2545694#post2545694 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120580&page=191

Excellent! Can't wait for the english labbeled cockpit!
-
If you have to fly an IFR route, how do you set / observe track deviation?
-
And in HAF' s english labbeled cockpit its displayed as "LP (Low Pressure) Main Cock'' ( = shut off valve) . See Picture here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120580&page=189

Look at 14:00 and forward. The pilot aligns the runway with the -2,5 deg. pitch line (which is missing now, hopefully Razbam will add it) and places the fpm on the runway threshold. As you can see, during the approach the fpm is above the aoa bracket, only during flare the airplane reduces speed (from 158 - 154 to 144 kts) [ame] [/ame]

It's a knife and can save lifes .... . On 30th September 1997 a HAF Mirage 2000EG from 332 Sq. was on a night final approach at Skyros airbase. As you can see from the attatched photo, the airport is near the sea. Due to fatigue / vertigo the pilot landed in the water few meters before the runway threshold. Media claimed, that the pilot was distructed from lights of small ships, that were fishing in the area . The plane ditched perfectly, and intact sinked to the bottom of the sea (depth was couple of m). The pilot realised the situtation and tried to save his life in the pure darkness. He managed to open the canopy and release the upper harness of the ejection Seat. As he tried to release the leg restraint lines (see ejection Seat photo in razbams manual) the survival life west, oppened automatic, as supposed to be (when coming in contact with water). Due to that the pilot couldn't free his legs and drowned .... . Don't know if he tried to use the knife to blast the survival vest and cut the Lines. The plane was repaired and returned to service. Yes, please! It's difficult to remember all these french words

What are representing the various markers in the S530 range scale on the HUD? (Rmax, Rmin and what else, i see various markers).
-
The 41 24 numbers on the right of the TDC cursor are the altitude scan area on the cursor point and the 22 on the left is the distance , right? Haven't found any relevant Information in razbam's manual or am i missing something?

Is an (optional) pilot leg mode planned for the cockpit? Tried it in bms and it adds tremendousely to the i'm there immersion. The cockpit looks empty without the pilot legs.

One forum member requested more photos so here we go. Side note :The yellow / black EMER FUEL lever on the first Picture is a very small alternate throttle lever, used only in Emergency situations instead of the normal throttle .

Few more. I want to mention that in Real life, the m2000 cockpit is very tight. It's like wearing a slim fit pant. The instruments have the size of a big wrist watch. Also, the color of the M2000C cockpit is in First person much darker, almost black, and not gray, like in the photos. The 2000- 5 cockpit is black.

Few more infos 1. The HAF doesn't use anymore the Super 530. All missiles are in storage. Anyway, i asked what will happen, if after missile launch the radar contact with the target will broken and shortly after regained again. Answer : the missile will miss. 2. During the target illumination, the pilot of the launching aircraft can take offset, so he doesn't need to have the target straight ahead of him, provided that the target remains within the radar scan area and is all the time tracked. 3. The pilot selects the exocet missile through the osb buttons on the HDD. There is a "tws'' mode , but during anti ship attacks the aircraft focuses only on one target. The radar mode is called SRT and Works in conjuction with the exocet missile. 4. I operated the control stick on the 2000-5 (forgot to do that on the C). The pitch movement distance is very very short (1-2 cm), the roll distance is noticeable bigger. The stick is stiff. 5. On the airbase were present f-16 's with their crews. So i asked them and the m2000's pilots who wins in a dogfight. Both were very confident about their aircraft. On a gun's only, 5000 ft , 1 vs 1 scenario the mirage 2000 - 5 pilot told me : no way, we have them. He added that you have to think twice to engage an f-16 at medium altitutes, because this aircraft can maintain the speed during turns very well. 6. Also, there is a third party gps system installed on the aircraft and the moving map can be shown on the HDD. 7. Regarding gun symbology with a radar track, the counter clockwise circle represents 1200m distance on the 12 o' clock position, 900m on the 9', 600 m on the 6' and 300 m on the 3 o' clock

Today was a big day! I visited the Tanagra AB, homebase of the haf M2000's (c and -5). Will do that also tomorrow and on sunday (open days for the public) The pilots were very friendly and answered all my technical questions (nothing classified of course). So here we go . All the informations are for the 2000c rdm 3 version (not the -5) 1. Regarding the gun symbology on the HUD. With a radar lock, there is a piper with a smaller inner circle, which rotates counterclockwise according to the distance of the target. You have to put the pipper over the target. Without a radar lock, there is the snake Line. The 2 vertical Lines, are the 300 (big one) and 600 m (small one) range markers for the target whith the preselected wingspan. (sorry for my poor english!) So first you enter the wingspan of the target, and if the target is 300 m away, you have to aim with the big vertical Line on the snake Line, if the target is 600m away, you aim with the small vertical Line. If the target is between 300 and 600 m , you have to put the target between the two vertical Lines on the snake. The pilot has to estimate off course the distance visually. Very simple. 2. About the close combat (dogfight) radar modes. The 2000C has exactly the same modes as the f-16 (minus 1 mode), with exactly the same scanning patterns, ranges etc. (see the f-16/ bms manuals). The reason for that, is that these modes are universal demands of the military Industry and not only for the f-16, said the pilot. First mode is the vertical scan mode. The pilot mentioned this mode as VERTICAL. When selected, a vertical dashed Line appears on the hud (in the f-16 the Line is not dashed). Next is the boresight mode, with a small circle in the hud, which cannot be slewed by the pilot in the M2000. And the mode that covers the whole area of the hud (can't remember the name, reffer to the f-16 manuals). Symbology for that mode is a big circle that covers all the hud area. 3. The HDD is an MFD. 90% of the time the pilot selects the radar screen. the 10% is for exocet firing parameters selection. The hdd can also display naviation data (HSD). No data link Information for the C (only for the -5). 4. The aircraft has excellent flight behaviour in low speed's, due to the delta wing, with no vibration. 5. Regarding crosswind landings, crab is the used technique. After touchdown, the plane align itself with the centerline of the runway, due to the big span between the 2 main weels. Now, I have to think more questions for tomorrow!
