Do you see, i'm still learning on the M2000. The next question (that should also be covered in the manual to stay on topic) is what are the exact trigger conditions?

The worst section of the manual, that must be updated first is the VTB. There is completely lack of indications functionality for such a basic instrument, Zeus made a basic description here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2986738&highlight=radar+velocity+range#post2986738 The description must be detailed, ex. that the intercept line starts blinking to warn the pilot that the radar contact can be lost, and also at which azimuth angle this happens. Also the CCM chapter must be reworked. Although for the most of us it is obvious, for a newcomer even the symbology for each mode is not illustrated, a visual illustration with range and scan patterns would be useful Some other warning indications are completely missing (even form the forums), such as the bip bip bip tone heard during hard turns, which is, from my understanding, not AOA related but stick deflection related +1 for diagrams of basic systems +1 for basic emergency procedures Also different startup checklists, ex how to startup in quick alert etc

Since you are talking about the CCM bug and know stuff, I think I have discovered another serious CCM - bug (boresight related?). I can lock only once a target with the boresight submode, in order to have a second auto lock I have to change to another submode. Track file provided. During the head on pass I lock the target with boresight, after the U turn, I have to switch to vertical scan to lock him again. Same thing happens sortly after, I lock with boresight, bogey moves away form scanned area and radar lock brakes, can't achieve a second lock with boresight still engaged. Don't know if this has already reported in the bug area, that's why I post this here to confirm that this is indeed a non reported bug CCM boresight .trk

What will happen after that mentioned 3 weeks? Will Zeus develop exclusively the M2000 avionics systems until the module is final finished or development time will be shared between Harrier and the Mirage ?

In my first attempt against a Mig 29A AI (excellent pilot), guns only, i managed easily to kill him. As we know, the Mirage 2000 will at some point benefit from ED's AG code developed for the Hornet. Will it be also benefit from the respective - advanced - AA code?

You can practice formation flying also offline. Create a mission with a AI mirage 2000, set up his flightplan , and fly next to him. At some waypoints you can through the Mission Editor select the AI aircraft to fly an orbit, so you can practice formation flying not only in straight flight but also during turns. On a side note, there was in youtube an excellent video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpVU1_7df5s, sadly not anymore available), captured during a real HAF Mirage 2000 briefing, where the flight leader explained the basics of formation flying, before a training flight : very small inputs on the stick and the throttle, he emphasized that the throttle movement should be at 1% rpm. Also the correct position for a close formation flight with a Mirage 2000 is the following : the No2 (wingman) has to align in his sight, the navigation light with the duct over the wing from his flight leader .

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, and keep in mind please that I don't have the slightest technical knowledge about creating/ moding skins, helmets. etc. I would like to fly this skin / helmet combination (cicognes squadron with classic 80's french white helmet) attachmentid=153537&d=1481931215 Already have the skin from here http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4239186/1 (the creator doesn't know to change the helmet, already asked there). There are some systems / features missing, already posted several times in various topics I hope that to! Although they have stated that the switches , which in real aircraft are used to insert a virtual / CGI target (and in the EG version to select exocet parameters), wouldn't have much use in DCS. I think a fully functional M2000 would remain Razbams flagship for several years.

Perhaps that explains also why the final development of the Mirage is (unexpected) slowed down = Razbam is focused to release Harrier in Q3 so that is enough time separation with all expected releases later this year (2.5 - Hornet - F-14)

Ensure that the throttle lever is on the OFF position (full back), before starting the engine. If it's not you have to press the red button next to the right of the throttle and then follow the normal procedure

I remember that according to an older post (think from jojo) , a hard lock provide the missile during launch with more data or the missile has at that time more data about the target available. But I don't remember if it was a theoretic analysis or if it is implemented in the game engine.

One question what is the fidelity of M2KC flight model?

Ι agree. It's highly recommended. I never thought that we could actually fly a dcs level m2000, due to the fact that there isn't much information available on the real aircraft on the net. You have to consider that the module isn't yet feature complete. But it is in an advanced state, and the missing things / bugs will come /resolved. Also, it is very interesting to fly a non us /russian aircraft, the french development approach is different in some systems -
In my opinion, with the exception of some critical radar and FM bugs, a fully functional HUD and weapons employment system is essential for the successful use of the M2000 in his primary intercept role and should have taken priority over the rest (even to the INS position update bug or the TAS inaccuracy). I personally think that the triangle, lock tones, magic in background while system is in GUN mode etc. are fully functional and not cosmetic features.
