  1. Since we talk about startup procedure. 1) Can someone explain the step (right instrument panel) ''Electric pumps (all three of them) Test then off ''. 2) Is there a formula to calculate the bingo fuel setting?
  2. So if i understand correctly, the pre and after launch indications are different. That's why i have a pre launch TOF of (let's say) 30 sec., and the second i launch the missile, the value happens some times to change significantly. Was ready to report it as a possible bug.
  3. 1) With a lock , the angle of the target apears on the hud - 180 deg. for a head on - and on the radar screen below the target, in this case indicating 0 degr. for a head on, which can be confusing. Why is this difference in the symbology between hud - hdd ? (is there a difference between intercept and aspect angle in general?) 2) Also, with a lock , an arrow extends from the targets marker, indicating his direction, but this line has not always the same lenght. What is the arrow's length indicating ? ( perhaps closure speed ? grater closure speed = larger arrow? is the lenght varying according the selected radar range? ) 3) also , at the bottom of the screen there is a big arrow, pointing always at the 12' position and indicating our heading. What is the operational use of this indication? Perhaps, the pilot should put this line in a 90 deg. angle to the big intercept line , to achieve a notch?

  8. In the current razbam version we don't have this symbology. Perhaps the simulated C version with ther rdi radar is different from the E (export) with the rdm?

    I have photos from Hellenic Air Force Mirage 2000EGM 's with 4 magics.
  11. When switching from PID to PIC (stt) a number appears to left of the TDC (where without any lock the range is displayed). Is this the aspect angle to the target?
  12. Two more questions : 1) moving up/ down the TDC on the display souldn't change the radar range ? 2) Are we get in the near future the ccm Auto lock / magic seeker slave functions?

  21. Last november i visited Tanagra AB, homebase of HAF's Mirages. Had an extensive conservation with a - C pilot about crosswind landings. He told me that crab is the used technique. After touchdown, the plane aligns itself with the centerline of the runway, and that is due to the big span between the 2 main weels (same for the f-4), and little rudder input is required. I remember, he made a characteristic movement with his shoulders to demonstrate this ''Auto correction'' movement. This feature is totally missing in the simulation now. If i remember correctly, there was in BMS forums a related topic, where these things were explained technically.

    I am also huge fan of the 70' s - 80' s. Has the - EE full HUD symbology or the basic symbology from the legacy C version? [ame] [/ame]

    Excellent! Day one buy ! Looks similar to the c version (couldn't find a photo from an - e in the net). The position of the vertical speed indicator looks strange, in most photos it is in the place of the mach indicator (below the speed indicator) instead above the rpm indicator. This seems more efficient for the instrument scan. But i'm sure AVIODEV has their own sources! Good job!
