Can someone tell me why my ccip line looks like this?
razo+r replied to greyseal494's topic in General Bugs
The line is tilted that way because you are using high drag bombs from a relativly high altitude with strong crosswind blowing. Get lower and the line becomes more straight. Fly from a different angle to limit effect of crosswind on your bombs. What you also see is a bug, the F-18 in DCS does not distinguish between High Drag and Low Drag settings for high drag bombs. The computer always applies High Drag into its calculation. -
How to employ gbu-16 from wing stations without inadvertently crashing
razo+r replied to Fitzcarraldo's topic in DCS: F-5E
That's because the other variants have been added in the December update last year, without updating the manual of course. -
I have absolutely 0 clue as to why your truck doesn't stop at the waypoint... Perhaps @NineLine or @Flappie could take a closer look as to what is happening?

Practice, practice and more practice. You will eventually get so much routine that you get more capacity for other things and then formation flying will be easy.

Pilots get more than just a METAR and ATIS to let them know of icing conditions. They also significant weather charts where icing conditions is marked and other charts/maps about weather conditions. They have manuals that tell them if they are allowed to fly into icing conditions and how to behave if they are in icing conditions. They also know if their aircraft is certified for flight into known icing or not, making the decision process even easier. Outside Air Temperature is also a bit useless if you have a fast aircraft like the F-5. Depending on your speed, it will show you a different temperature than what the still air actually is, which may lead to false assumptions.

You don't really need an OAT gauge to operate the De-Icing switches. In DCS, Pitot heat should always be on and Engine De-ice can stay off because icing conditions aren't modeled (except for Pitot, that one will always get blocked without any reason). As for real life, besides trying to stay out of icing conditions due to no wing anti ice, you should turn them on before going into icing conditions. To simplify, before entering any visible moisture (fog, clouds). And if you feel very fancy, below I guess 10 degrees C. And if you have the METAR/ATIS, you can esstimate at what altitude that can be. And generally you turn these systems on before you get icing, not afterwards. You want to prevent ice from building up in the first place.

What do you need an OAT gauge for in the F-5E?
-
Partially. You can save missions as static templates and load such a template into a different mission. But since it's a static template, not everything gets copied, like triggers for example.
-
It wasn't you, someone else posted pictures from the manual showing the limits, but that post has been removed.

Try contacting user support instead. They will be able to help you.

Sounds like pitot heating didn't work and the pitot froze.

Im echten Leben ja, zumindest für die Tanker mit einem Boom. Gibt auch viele Videos auf Youtube dazu.

Check for Combined Arms roles like JTAC, Observer, Game Master etc. -
Corrupted objects at Georgievsk and other places (Caucasus)
razo+r replied to razo+r's topic in Bugs and Problems
Progress has been made! Instead of empty spaces on the map, you can now see the corrupted objects on the F10 map aswell. It's now harder to spot the spots... Cherkessk for example: All places mentioned above are still corrupted though. -
I'm uploading a small demonstration. The vehicles drives ahead to WPT 1 and holds there for 10 seconds before continues to WPT 2. Hold Demonstration.miz
-
Hold should work. Have you perhaps added a stop-condition to the hold waypoint? Can you upload your mission/vehicles?

You are overspeeding... There are usually speed limits both in IAS and in MACH. RAZBAM has implemented a 15% margin above the limit, so if you exceed either of these limits, your wings will be gone. I think the limit (without margin) is 800Kts/M2.0.

If you dont have any campaigns, there is not a lot to download. Besides, with the next update, you will have to download this update anyway.

Well, in the track you posted, the 3 Channels, with exception of the ALT channel, were turned on just after you took off and then they were turned off after you flew forward. So, unless that was what you actually did, check your controls if you by any chance have mapped these buttons to anything unwanted, and then also try to use the HOVER mode in addition to the autopilot channels.
