You could turn around and boresight at the airfield. Or fly/plan your route so you fly to a place where you can easily boresight.

I've tried asking about documentation of how exactly the auto fog works but it seems not even ED knows exactly. All I get is "it will happen automaticly depending on time"... But yes, auto fog does generate fog, it's just not quite clear how or how you can influence it.

Try giving each other a different time instead of all set to "5". Like CSAR 5 CTLD 6 Autolase 7

Dim the HUD so that it doesn't glow too much and adjust the gain of the NVG to your fitting. You will also see more if you go closer to the targets. Then accept the fact that NVG's don't have the best resolution. After that, you should also look into alternative methods to engage targets at night, like illumination flares or anything other than guns.

Can you upload a short track instead?

Try moving the FAC task to the top of the 3 tasks.

It's hard to know about if you don't provide any details. Do you have a crash log? What exactly does "whenever I launch it" mean?

You could for example set them to "fire at point", then count how long it takes them to get into the position and then add a trigger that disables the AI, leaving them in their current position without shooting.
