Now that the topic of the map was brought up, I'd like to know what happens if I take a fast jet and fly towards the Georgia map limits and keep flying for hours straight. Will the graphics engine generate more and more generic terrain? Is the whole world already done in a simple generic form without cities or scenery? Once the NTTR map will be released will I be able to fly from the default map to it?

It would be awesome if they decided to resume this module

If ED ever plunges into a DCS Eagle I hope it's the Strike Eagle to have the best of the two worlds: Air Superiority and Ground Attack

Honestly those HOTAS reviews aren't very reliable. They're usually done by people with little idea in what is needed for flight simulators and reviewed just for a few hours or minutes that aren't enough to give you a real judgement about quality. I've owned the X-55 for 4 months now and all I regret is the lack of the CMS hat in the stick and an additional 4-way hat in the throttle. I use the red button in the throttle as a SHIFT modifier for a couple of hat switches to workaround this problem. Everything else can be perfectly mapped as the TM Warthog for the A-10C As far as build quality I can say that the latest models are improved over the first batches. Typical complaints was the weight of the bases and a rattling sound inside the stick base but these issues were solved when they added metal weights inside the throttle and stick and the ferrite filters that caused the noise inside the base was hot glued. As far as the sticktion problem just regrease the shaft and collar and align them where the friction is minimal. The HUD software is buggy and sometimes causes me "Blue Screen Of Death" in Windows 7 64bits and for that reason I hardly ever run it. I hope Saitek improve their drivers soon and be more proactive with their customer service

If I may suggest you, I say to wait until DCS 2.0 Edge will be released. We are yet to see if the new gaphics engine will be more CPU than GPU dependant and might want to invest in a better processor or not much in a video card

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
7rooper replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I can't believe that 334 people want a serious sim from a high classified airplane like the F-22. Maybe in 20 years we'll be able to acccess most of its avionics -
Where did you get these 4-way w/ center push hat switches?

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

Will there ever be a DCS: F-16? I brought this up because I see this plane is freaking important in modern combat but it seems to me strange that ED has no shown interest in develop it. There are no evidence that is in their roadmap any time soon or later and even much of the community here seem to prefer less popular jets than this legend. I'd like to hear an official word from ED and opinions of the members of these forums about a full DCS module of the Falcon It's time to see a beautiful cockpit with moving switches and buttons packed in painstakingly reproduced flight dynamics and systems just like ED has done with the other full fidelity modules What do you think? PS: Falcon BMS looks way outdated and it's more like a dead end. -
Yeah right..you have a very nice virtual cockpit but you CAN'T INTERACT with it at all !! Let's imagine that the resolution problem is solved, I don't see a pair of tracking gloves that will give you the feedback feel of flicking a switch or pushing a button. You could use small vibe motors but given the amount of small switches in a panel the precision for flicking the right one would be a real problem since the sense of depth given by the rift is virtual! lens distorted!! Definitively the Rift isn't made for serious flight simming

It seems so...sooner or later all FC planes will be updated.

That shaft collar wears out the grease very fast anyway and this is due to the piece not being completely symmetrical. Since it's a plastic molded piece its bore isn't perfectly round but a little bit squashed so in addition to regreasing the shaft you need to twist the collar until you find a "sweet spot" where the travelling is smoother, mark it and align it with another mark or reference in the joystick base, put the spring back and voila! The sticktion problem is gone. Now enjoy your stick at its fully potential

Count me in. +1

Sure... but after the Hornet, spitfire, AH-1W, F-15E and hopefully F-16, AH-64D and MiG-35
-
What airforce is that with old F-111s and F-22 & B-2 parked as in front of a shopping mall? Even the mechanical concept is way off. You can't expect a machine to assemble itself that way... don't even get me started with the null reaction of the base under attack

A working fan is useless unless screens with blowers are developed. Now if you want it to be exported for your homemade cockpit you should use a real one. The fan is neccesary only as an animated model that could start automatically with the engines. No on/off/speed controls.

Would you pay for Su-27 if it come out as a separate DCS standard module.

 You're right. LO: FC started it all after all... -
hahahhaa...you made my day!! I thinks they running DCS MiG-21 and getting a peak of 4 frames per sec!

But the poll tells a different thing... 17% percent of the votes says there won't be more flanker sales. In my opinion, ED needs to take the F-15, MiG-29, Su-25 & Su-27 to DCS standards but this time not give them away to FC3 owners. They already have proved us to have a great customer service supporting their old customers. Most of the FC3 people prefer their planes the way they are. No complications. Just look at how many of these guys complain about the new Flanker flight model even though when it feels more real and challenging as it is now. and to be honest, I would prefer the flaming cliffs ended or be a different game oriented to "lighter" customers. All efforts should be focus to DCS high fidelity aircrafts and give DCS world just DCS level aircraft with PFM & ASM (clickable cockpits). ... even all the planes in an old simulator as FSX have clickable cockpits -
Great work so far... Waiting for your release

It gets even better with this curved ultra wide 34" monitor. At 3440x1440 you can have the best simming experience. I wish I could afford one of these for 1800 USD instead of four 32" FHD TVs and get a better DCS experience

Thank you! Now I see how different russian planes are designed I'm really having great time with this PFM. It's really exciting and makes feel the F-15 kinda boring..
-
Just today I had the opportunity to try the new Su-27 PFM and my rudder pedals but to my surprise I couldn't find a wheel brake axis to be bound to my pedals toe brakes just like in the F-15. Is this a bug or the Su-27 doesn´t feature an analog or left/right differential brakes?

I don't think ED have considered someone flying with keyboard these days... I don't blame them.

Hi, Hegykc. Will you make these grips for the X-55 Rhino too?
