  1. My respects to Leatherneck too. His first DCS modules is better looking and most stable than other's developers modules.
  2. I knew a guy who was a skillful player in Quake 3 (A first person shooter for PC) using the keyboard only. He beat many good players and seeing him playing was something to behold and admire but he had to train very very hard and tune the keyboard inputs in the game so many times until he found the sweet spot, he told me. However, he was an average player in comparison with the pro scene players. His level couldn't go higher So in short, it's possible even in FSX where the keyboard inputs for pitch and roll are terrible but you will spend plenty of time punishing yourself when a HOTAS is something that was researched and developed to give comfort and fast response to the pilots. That's why most of us invest in a Tracking head device to look aroound instead of using our thumb on the hat In your case it would be RSHIFT+RCTRL+Keypad keys.... grrrrrrr...so clumsy!!
  3. You made my day! DCS is getting more and more interesting every day. In one year we could probably have: F/A-18C F-14A/B Mirage 2000C Mirage F1 Harrier AV-8B+ EFA Typhoon L-39 F-5F Spitfire P-40F Plus EDGE 2.0, Hormuz, Nevada, Normandia And perhaps someone will be working in a F-16 Viper...
  4. Great job, Ninja! I'll try it when I get home from office. I'm glad a "compatriota" has made such an interesting mod. One day we will have the full DCS module as well. For those interested in a F-16 flyable with authentic flight model and cockpit, you can download it here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95985 It's a WIP but is the closest thing to a full DCS Viper module
  5. I find Rafale radome too pointy! I like Mirage 2000 puffed curves and angles
  6. Bueno. Hoy acabe de comprar el C101 y me ha gustado bastante. Mientra llega la version de combate me gustaria saber si me puedo unir a algun tipo de escuadron acrobatico de Patrulla Aguila
  7. I don't use mods whatsoever. I was tempted to install a shaders mod that is around but since DCS 2.0 is so close to release I prefer to wait and see the difference
  8. Same thing happened to me. With this video I saw the Mirage like the most beautiful plane ever built
  9. Do you ship internationally? Ship to Colombia, South America
  10. Interesting topic. Certainly an upgrade to the A-10C will revamp this awesome machine and gives us more to squeeze from our initial investment. Obviously, I like this if it doesn't stop the development pace of current and future modules I second that DCS 2.0 will be a great opportunity for an avionics upgrade
  11. They're all guess work. All the most important aspects of each aircraft are and will be classified for many more years
  12. Why are many saying that will buy the F-16 when it hasn't been even rumoured in DCS?
  13. Wow!! an Airbus replacement grip would be awesome!!
  14. I see why the thousands of increase in performance for AMD from DX11 to DX12. We'll wait until nvidia release its numbers
  15. Awesome teapot, btw. Just one click away!
  16. I just read on that. This improvement is going to change 3D printing totally
  17. To people that believes that a world map will kill performance I want to tell them to go and read how an efficient graphics engine work using visblocks, far clip distance settings, level of details for distance (LOD) and many optimizations that allow an old game like FSX have the entire world rendered as you pass by. There's even games that have procedural generation of terrain which make them virtually infinite!! Obviously, flying in highly populated zones like Europe will hit the fps if the cities are highly detailed, nearby and you're flying with a far distance detailed option enabled All DCS needs is a generic world terrain with at least the correct elevation mesh and continents
  18. It's not fair for the other developers to realize that other studios charge more for a product that takes relatively the same amount of work they have gone through. A fair price for a module is 50 bucks. No more. In my case, I'll even wait until there's a sales discount. It's not that I don't like the Tomcat very much. It's just that I'm not paying for a single plane more than a full AAA game with way more money invested and with many more employees involved.
  19. The X-55 would be the greatest budget multi-plane HOTAS if: *The stick had a CMS hat w/ push button. This is a 10 usd switch only so there isn't a big saving here for Saitek. *The throttle hat switches were more ergonomic. The edge of the hat is uncomfortable to your thumb finger *The throttle had AB/IDLE detents *The throttle usd hall effect sensor instead of potentiometers *some switches and rotaries were better quality. The pickle button feels really weird to press because its travel is too short and you feel like pressing a microswitch directly. I ended up modding mine trimming the button shaft shorter -so it can be pressed down a little bit longer- and gluing a spring to the microswitch. Now I love it! It feels high quality In short, for an A-10C the X-55 runs out of buttons but for any other plane is great with rotaries, antenna elevation pinky finger wheels and F-16 style rotaries. Even my X-55 came with weights glued to the base that doesn't allow it to move so easily. Seems that is something lacking in the first batch of units. I don't regret buying it!!
  20. I've just watched like 10 times.. Really impressive. In the video w/ comments seemed like the Imperial eagle didn't want to come down soon
  21. EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB DDR5
  22. Awesome!!
  23. A Su-34 fullback could be... I would very much like it is their next module. Please no more WWII junk
  24. Hi, You're gonna need an USB Human Interface Device card like a Leo Bodnar BU0836X -sold in the UK- with no additional software whatsoever and a simulator like DCS will recognize it as a game controller which you can bind any function to using the options menu in game. That's the easiest way
