Yes but the cells are full of fuel that will be useful for the entire flight instead that lift fan becomes a useless weight one the plane is not hovering

I bought my X-55 one month ago and to be my first HOTAS I expected more. First I hate that the thumb hat in the stick is actually a button!! The Speed Brake slider is just a button that can be held in the on and off positions and it's virtually useless unless you use the H.U.D. software. Later I realized that those two stupid buttons in the throttle aren't enought to replace a Coolie Hat and Slew Hat!. Sometimes when I try to program the hotas in the HUD software my PC crashes and get a "Blue screen of death". It's just terrible!! The good thing is that the build quailty and operation or functionality works just fine. The stick has great precision and myself with relatively small hands see no problem with the grip size. The Throttle is a mix between F-15 and F-16 and you will be able to bind the buttons more easily than with the A-10C. I find the mouse nipple very convenient for slewing or looking around if you know how to program it correctly. I hope Saitek release better drivers that correct those many incompatilbilty issues many users are experiencing. The future of this set is in how they will patch their software. As a matter of fact, I'm going to order a pair of directional-push switches like these http://au.element14.com/alps/skqudbe010/navigation-switch-5way-smd/dp/1435776 and try to replace the thumb button in the stick with one of these. Will the other positiions of the switch be recognized? I will see..

The Havoc is a terrific beast! I'd really love to see it in DCS but that would be 2 russian gunships against 0 american. I think it's time for a AH-64A or a AH-1W to fight the KA-50 in MP. Awesome!!

Thank you. That's the answer a desperate customer needs. Not something like "Yes, and? Mig differs substantially from the Sabre, so why compare the two?" It's totally comprehensible that the MiG-21 is a finer and more detailed aircraft but in the same engine no one expects a 50% drop in its framerate

Trying to replace a HOTAS with this would be trying to solve a problem nobody is asking to solve. The HOTAS setup is necessary to transmit the touching feedback. The doubt now I have is how to tell the Leap motion that our hands are on and off the HOTAS. Perhaps some touch sensors? A new HOTAS?

That technology is simply mind blowing. No more physical cockpits at home. Only a HOTAS, Oculus VR and Leap Motion to operate any virtual cockpit...

Last time I watched a producer's notes video it took BS many months until its release... I hope A10 will be ready sooner

I would love to see the question above answered. I need a Hotas Setup and don't need the pedals right now.

What's up. My name's Johnny. I'm from Colombia and I live in Bogota D.C. I'm a simulation lover since Jane's F-15 and Longbow series. I got my BS copy since its initial release (Russian Version) and I was totally blown by its complex and realistic avionics and Flight model. I hardly ever fly online maybe I'm just expecting a better BS online experience with the upcoming patch. Right now I'm hooked to MS Flight Simulator. Just to summarize I do little gaming but when I do a 90% of this time I spend in BS and MSFS. I've been around these forums since the release of LO: FC which is another great sim software I greatly enjoy.

TIP.. Improve frame rate by 100% - 200%
7rooper replied to delevero's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
BS! this piece of software doesn't give any fps boost in XP. I already tested. It does exactly the same than adjusting the CPU affnity by yourself. This tool may improve other non-multicore apps but this is not the case for DCS: Black Shark, period. -

NOt tried yet but I don't think this makes any differences in win XP for DCS:BS. Since I moved my BS installation to Vista (taking advantage of the actual CPU affinity) I'm not testing this back in XP. If someone could try it in XP some comments would be welcome. -
If the reviewer had dedicated enough time BS would've received a 95 out of 100!! that's 60/60 for gameplay 20/20 for sound and a deserved 15/20 for graphics. That's it.

This has become my newest favorite thread. Hoping to see some in-game A-10C pics

This part obviously show they haven't got much idea what a simulation software is. All of those reviews are 20 lines most. They didn't even bother confirming that all the campaigns can be played in Vista as well. Wag's voice is cool, imo :P

Is that damage model for the DCS: A-10C?
-
Happy B-day from Colombia :P I hope you`ve had a good day.

Check the screens well! The gun, the pit, the bottom door are not being drawn. Half of the copper is missing. Weird!! Slayer, What drivers release are you using? what mods you have installed¿

seems nobdoy here is quite ceratin about the upcoming modules system for DCS. Could anybody from ED help us with this uncertainty? Let's say: I buy the DCS: BS. Then, when the A10 warhog is ready I get it too. The A-10 will come with a better GFX engine and some other improvements. Will I be able to fly my Black Shark in the A-10 module. I mean flying with the same scenarios and the same GFX technology from A-10 warhog module?

Impresionante!! Awesome!

When I see that runway I fear I'll have a very bumpy landing :P Is really difficult to make those tiles match a littlee better? Nice Job, so far anyway
-
Looks wonderful! I'll try it

I'm also interested in this graphical improvement mod!!!!. I'm waating for a new version to be released. Had a lot of issues with the first release though
