  1. According to the NATOPS flight manual, you can in fact tune the COM radios to frequencies in the 108-111.975 range:
  2. I guess it's time to pull out this one again :P
  3. An ancient post from VEAO doesn't really say anything about whether or not Razbam or anyone else is able to obtain a license from Boeing (ex-MDD) for a module. Case in point: the AV-8B and ED's F/A-18C.
  4. Top Gun does have a few nice flying scenes (F-14 vs A-4), but except for that, there is nothing particularly good about it. It's is basically a romantic drama with the occasional plane thrown in. The Final Countdown does at least have an amusing (but improbable) plot in addition to the awesome navy aircraft.
  5. My vote is for a DCS Dwarf Tossing module (for CA, of course). I might settle for an Austin Allegro though...
  6. What? Not the Vanden Plas 1500?
  7. Click the pen/pencil icon in the top right corner of the multiplayer server list.
  8. A F-16 is on ED/BST's todo-list after the 18. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3447860&postcount=153
  9. Judging by all the "do I need to install the open beta in addition to 2.5 release in order to use module X, Y, or Z?" or "why can't I download the PG map?" threads both here and on FB, it seems like quite a few are unaware of how simple it is to switch between the two versions. Would it be a good idea to add a notification about available updates for the other version (whichever that may be; OB or release) when checking for updates? With an option for switching to OB and updating without having to go through the command line? Or am I just a grumpy bastard that's tired of seeing the same questions asked 3 million times every time anew module is (pre-)released?
  10. Afternoon-ish central european time.
  11. It's the same with every new early access release. Anonymous player (there are too many to mention them all): "I know it's early access, but..." ...and then goes on explaining that he clearly doesn't understand what early access means.

    ILS

Civilian ILS: not possible. Even the smallest 6-element localizer arrays are too large to fit on a carrier, and even an M-array glide path is way too sensitive regarding the reflection plane to fit it in such a confined area. ICLS, which is basically comparable to MLS (which was a huge flop in the civilian aviation market), is used on carriers. Both of your videos show the ICLS flight director bars.

    Status?

From 504smudge's latest stream: Smudge asked if there was an ETA for the Yak. Answer:
  14. Yup. JDAM, JSOW and JASSM.
  15. Have you tested it recently? The latest update change log says the following: DCS AV-8B N/A by RAZBAM DMT axis control enabled The TPOD axis control was functional when the TPOD was added to the sim (pre-2.5).
  16. Are you sure? Because it sure doesn't look like spring in this part of the world...

    F-15E?

McDonnell Douglas hasn't existed as a company for over 20 years...

  19. Uhm, no. Not to nitpick, but your claim that they don't speak farsi in Iran is demonstrably wrong. But everyone else who have replied thus far are correct.
  20. I can recommend getting your facts right when trying to correct people... Farsi and Persian are two names for the same language.
  21. Just curious, but what are your sources regarding the HARMs? I have done quite a bit of searching for actual info on this, and all I've found so far is references to wikipedia (which is not a credible source without proper citation).
  22. What exactly is the connection between Bell and the Gazelle? Other than that the two words rhyme?
  23. It does, but the different models aren't sorted alphabetically, so the F-5 isn't grouped with the other F's Edit: just to clarify: I'm talking about the liveries dialog. The edm files are in the coremods folder.
  24. This is pure speculation, but from a sw/hw developer's point of view, moving the open beta version into the release branch does make some sense. More updates are coming for 2.5, and in order to test them out in the open beta branch while still having a mostly functional version of 2.5 available, this is the only practical way of doing it.
  25. Nope. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1483439&postcount=30
