  1. Excellent suggestion, I'll post this with the instructions and ask everyone to confirm version when the start up before trying to connect.
  2. Cribob, Can you add an about with the current version number, we are having difficulty connecting everyone and I suspect that it is an issue with different versions.
  3. Eddie, could you make a post war RCAF skin? They were quite attractive and would work well for a post war scenario.
  4. LotATc has a shadow map for both maps in the saved games folder, perhaps Dart would be willing to share. It would also be great if you could integrate into his module.
  5. I think you guys are over thinking this. Theoretically, I could open DCS, select an a/c with the correct radio frequency range, select the correct frequency and open my Simple Radio Stand alone client and point it at a server that I know is using it and annoying four people. Most TS Trolls don't have the game and would not have the app or find the IP address for it so mostly the issue would be be with players who are serious enough about DCS to install it. I don't think the risk is very high. If an incident were to happen, as I interpret the roadmap, in the future they will need to be connected to the DCS server you are in and it will be a simple matter of banning the player or password the server.
  6. You saw that HomeFries did VF-191 Satan's Kittens Skin Pack with a clever decal layer so you could have the entire squadron with only one skin to download? It looks very good but he needs to update the BORT number issue now. It would be great if all the Sabre skins that don't use the default number locations, like the RAF, RCAF, USN and USMC used his decal method, it would mean less downloading of skins and taking up valuable HDD space on servers. looking forward to seeing these!
  7. You're correct , that's definitely sounds like a bug it should be impossible to pop the canopy or do anything else when the pilot is unconscious. I have not been able to reproduce it however. Do you have a video of it happenig? Otherwise Belsimtek are unlikely to take any action on it if it can't be easily reproduced. If there was still sound perhaps it is intended and the pilot isn't fully unconscious but is capable in a last desperate act to open the canopy but nothing else?
  8. Amazing Eddie, nice work!
  9. Excellent work! I think this is exactly what I have been looking for to make my server more authentic feeling. I will start reading up and planing to move over to a MOOSE powered server this weekend.
  10. Yes: DAWS Save Mission by Chromium. Sorry I can't link it on my phone but it is in the Mods thread
  11. Art, if you are referring to this thread in the Belsimtek forum: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=168564 He never said it was Jockos skins, in fact they are installed where Bo Nidle and most other skin makers instruct users to install them rather than in the CoreMods folder as Jocko's instructions do. I suspect that it is the location of skins in the folder people make themselves in the bazaar folder that might be the problem given the results of his trouble shooting in the linked thread. I have also noted that my default skin is not the USAF one now but the Canadian Air Force skin that Belsimtek included in the last update, not one of Jocko's. So, it appears that if you have any skins in the bazaar\liveries\f-86f folder it will interfere with your default skin. Caveat emptor, I am not at my computer so can't test.
  12. great news, I'll see what I can find
  13. Excellent news, thanks Stonehouse, this will make an excellent target for the Sabre.
  14. No worries Stonehouse, The Tu-4 was an exact copy of the B-29 with the exception of Russian designed engines and the 23mm cannon was substituted for the 50 cal
  15. Beautiful! Can't wait to fly it! it will definitely find a home in my server!
  16. Shahdoh, How late will you be going? 1500 EDT I am still at work unfortunately and won't be home before 1800, but it sounds like a great exercise. I tried this about a year ago with the B-29 mod and did two missions, one with P-51 escorts and one with Sabers defending against Bf-109 and Fw-190 and Mig-15 respectively. Only four showed up of the 16 who signed up and flying the Mustang had massive FPS drop when near the bombers. The Sabre was slightly better but that was on 1.2.x it will be interesting to see how much the code has improved. Good luck with the event.
  17. yay! Nice work again Jocko! Cheers Rob
  18. Ramsey, You should dust off your Sabre and join us in Georgian Spring 1955, the Sabre is quite at home there as is the Mig-15 and there are some good Mig-15 pilots to watch out for. When the F-5 comes out I will also plan on running Georgian Spring 1975 that the F-5 and Mig-21 will feel quite comfortable in. The Sabre is a truly great module and really makes me look forward to the F-5, it will be a hard time dividing my time between the two! Cheers Rob
  19. @reflected , It's up right now, unless lighting took it down again this afternoon. Out of town for next five or six hours, but will reboot when I get home anyway Tomorrow will be a big day for the server, I will be keeping a close eye on it.
  20. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=168311 New thread in the multiplayer forum for Georgian Spring 1955 server information. This Sunday I am going to host a special 12 hour mission to test out the server and the various scripts. It will be saved at the end of the mission and will be the start point the following Sunday for day two of the campaign if all goes well.

  24. Join the Revolution! Georgian Spring campaign set in the spring of 1955 just a year after the truce in Korea has been signed, Stalin has passed away and Turkey has become a NATO member. The Georgian A.S.S.R. takes advantage of the power struggle that develops in the polit bureau and attempts to make a break from the influence of Moscow. The server and campaign will be a 'sandbox' where squadrons can plan and execute missions to carry out any type of mission that the campaign plane set could do in real life based on the current tactical situation and the commanders intent. NATO forces will attempt to secure air superiority over the Georgian A.S.S.R to allow Georgian ground forces loyal to the new Republic to drive out the Trans-Caucasian Army of the Soviet Union. The combined forces of Warsaw Pact will attempt to drive NATO out of Georgia; they can not afford another Korea on their doorstep. The server will track stats, save mission status at the end of the mission and carry the results to the next mission. Missions can be flown in any conditions that the Sabre/Mig-15 were capable of, including night(although the Sabre and Mig were primarily day fighters and operations on a moonless night with overcast would be tricky) and questionable weather conditions since DCS has the ability to generate dynamic weather that can produce bright cloudless days or thunderstorms to blizzards and the weather may deteriorate during the mission. 25. Stonehouse, Any chance of finding time to convert the B-29 mod into a new Tu-4 mod? I'm not a modder but I think it would be a minimal effort compared to all the others, change out the .50 cal for the 23 mm from the Mig-15 and of course a new skin. Engines were slightly more powerful as well but not sure if this is an easy fix or worth the trouble. I would love to have this mod and a Tu-4 mod running in the Georgian Spring server. I will introduce the B-29 mod now that it has been revised this weekend. Cheers
