There are 11 reasons why things are seen: shape; shadow; silhouette; movement; spacing; position; texture; colour; scale; noise; and shine You may wish to review the following training film to brush up your skills that I used way back when I was a Pl Comd at the Battle School: Reflections (shine) would be a massive improvement in DCS World, both on the ground and in the air, it would be game changing. Let's hope that becomes a reality in 2.5. It could be simulated for AI by taking lighting conditions into account and apply a factor to spotting but

NOT A BUG I keep seeing people badmouthing this module and I don't understand. I've never used Auto-start before so never commented but decided to try it today and it works fine. What are you doing when it stops working? Are you trying it in a multiplayer server? The server admin may have the option disabled. Are you trying it in the training missions? it may be disabled because starting up is part of the trg. Are you trying it in a mission generator generated mission? if so it may not work because the airfields may not be properly set by the mission generator. If the airfield is neutral you will not get ground power, only airfields that are part of your coalition can provide power. Most other aircraft have an APU and can be started without ground power but the Sabre did not have one and this sounds like the most likely problem given your symptoms. Hope this helps

Had you run the First mission.bat and set the number of players to four beforehand or did you need to edit it after doing that steo? -

My server has been running on the OB since Friday, the mission running through its 12 hour cycle with no crash, but confirmed that performance is not as good. Noticeable lag and short freeze when an AI interceptor was spawned with 20+ in the server.

From my perspective, running a server, I'd like to prevent people from swapping sides to have a look at the opposite side and then targeting them. I'd also like to reserve certain squadrons for registered players and leave others open to public players. Or, restrict public players to one side or another perhaps. The other pressing reason for slot blocking would be to restrict who has access to the Tactical Command slots. One person can wreak havoc on a mission in a server when I'm not around but it is very useful to keep for those who can use it responsibly.

Yes, server administration is also a target, so much so that I might put a password on it. Team killing does seem to be down though, it was at an all-time high a couple of months ago.

Do this as a test, set up a mission with Russia on the Blue Coalition and Ukraine on the Red Coalition with the same EWR and the same aircraft. Then exactly the same mission with the coalitios reversed. Only the Red Coalition will receive EWR info in both cases if nothing has been fixed, I bet.

Do you mean for an AI aircraft? For client a/c why not just use the rearm & refuel menu?

Stumbled across those last night in the download section, great work! -
So, I got a couple of hours with one CAP and two 'dynamic' intercept flights per side. Crash happened just after I shot down the intercept flight dispatched to shoot me down. Also have been trying the latest version of GCICAP, the one modified 7 months ago, it is not listed in the releases on Github, that only lists up to 1.0 rc5 which is one year and two days old now and was the version I had been using until yesterday. I will try triggering the intercept flight and shooting it down to see if I can trigger the crash again or if that is a coincidence later today.

Yes, faint hope, perhaps a forlorn hope, that there is an update on Friday that miraculously fixes this. By accident of course.

Ok, thanks for that bit of information. Going to try one Blue CAP of 4 and one Red CAP of 2 or 4 and Max of two dynamic intercepts and run it for the next 6 hours and see what happens. Feel free to join and see what happens when you shoot down a CAP or tirgger the intercepts.

Any guidance on max numbers of A/C or numbers of CAP flights? Do a/c in GCI flights count against the aggregate numbers?

Dcs 1.5 & NTTR on same server

I would love to know what you find, having the same issue seeing the servers on the Master Sever list and also can't seem to get people to connect to the 2.0 server via IP from a second computer on my network (i only have one copy of Nevada map) All this worked in the spring but I have updated DCS and upgraded to Win 10. -

No luck so far, although I have not done as much trouble shooting as I would like, having had bigger fish to fry with figuring out why some of my scripts are not working on my server missions in 1.5.5 with update 4 -
Ill try going back to .73 again when i get back in town but I don't expect anything different. The crash seems to be fairly random.

Nice work, I'll include your 51st FIW and 4th FIW Sabre skins in my next update of Georgian Spring - right after I figure out what is causing the crashes since the last update

I can confirm, no Bort numbers with the updated skin in my server

I am using 3 CAP flights on each side with borders on. Blue is 4 a/c per flight and Red is 2 or 4 a/c per flight. Ran it once with MIST 4.3.74 and it ran for hours with no problems, GCICAP was the only script running, then ran it again, crashed on start up.

I will have a look, this is the default condition for DCS since 1.5 is it not?
