Ich hatte auch schon einen Thread zu dem Thema gestartet. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=176704 Jetzt kann man sich beim Taxeln aus dem Cockpit der Propellermaschine rauslehnen. Das machts um einiges leichter. Allerdings kann der Kopf nun auch bei geschlossener Kanzel durchs Glas hindurch herausragen. Man bräuchte zwei separate Sätze von x-,y-,z-Beschränkungen, die beim Öffnen/Schließen der Kanzel wechseln. Das ist sicher noch etwas für die Zukunft aber hat derzeit vermutlich keine Priorität für ED.

Indeed. The actual mods wont work for sure. Changing the file structure/names is one point which will surely happen. Another one is, that with the new caucasus, the new T4 map engine will come which assumedly will contain way different technologies. So hopefully the tiled noise_1.bmp.dds texture will go and a more neat solution will replace it.

I think you mean Barthek. He worked on a new pack. There were some screenshots posted on facebook a few weeks ago. So I think Barthek GTM11 could be his next one. And no I will not update anything anymore. Initially I wanted V2.2 to be the last but then DCS2.5 was delayed again and to survive this time without going crazy, I dismissed my own resolution. But 2.3 was definitively the last and I guess DCS2.5 wont need any texture mod.

I dont understand the issue about the area flatness. Its not about having mountains or not. Its about realism and the real normandy simply has no high mountains. What do some people expect? Shall ED modify it despite the real area or shall they create some totally fictional maps like this MMO, which we all know?

I dont think, that its useless below this altitude. It works the same way but the air pressure in low altitudes is already high enough to generate a good manifold pressure. Therefore an additional enhancement could not be used for long and could damage the engine easily.

Die Meldung "Bitte warten, ihr Flug verzögert sich" klingt eher wie ein Scherz. Das Problem nach dem Start auf der Karte zu lande kenne ich hingegen. Das hatte ich bei zwei Gelegenheiten. Zum einen passierte es, als ich mal in den Steuerungs-LUAs rumpfuschte, um Kippschalter zu programmieren und zum anderen passierte es kürzlich nach einem Update, welches sich mit Avast nicht zu verstehen schien und irgendwelche Dateien korrumpierte. Musste DCS dann mit deaktiviertem Virenscanner neu installieren. Ob das für eine so alte Version hilfreich ist, weiß ich leider nicht. Es besteht aber immer die Möglichkeit einfach ein Supportticket zu erstellen.

No. As mentioned the normandy map will be part of DCS 2.0 and you dont have to buy nevada for this. DCS 2.0 is an interim stage before the big merge to DCS 2.5 will happen. Then all maps and all modules will come together to a single application. DCS 2.0 is for free but it needs chargeable content because causasus is not compatible with this version of DCS. So buy normany map, download DCS 2.0 and in late may you will be able to fly on this map with any aircraft which is available for DCS 2.0.

Maybe I am wrong but I believe its not possible to spread reputation outside the DCS related threads to avoid reputation farming threads or something like this.

I thought this is well known already before the release of win10. You can believe there are more than commercial purposes and if the apparent product seems to be for free then maybe something else is the real product ;) But this is no reason to go back to win7. There are many tools which can block all these functions or even any connections to any microsoft URL. This should block any automatic stuff which happens without your knowledge (including updates) but of course you will never be completely save. If big brother casts his eye on you, there is no other way but unplugging. So use these tools and if you have very private files then get a second computer which is always offline and/or switch to linux. BTW a few weeks ago I saw a photo of Mark Zuckerberg in the labs or offices of facebook. Beside him was a notebook with a webcam masked with tape. So if even somebody like Mark Zuckerberg takes such preventive measures then maybe maybe maybe there are some good reasons for this.

A hint regarding a realistic sound in case you don't have experience with that: In some recording applications have no or only low quality presets which means that you will need to do this with an equalizer on your own to make it sound realistic. In radio transmissions are no low frequencies and the mid and high frequencies are overdriven and distorted. So take out the bass much as possible and amplify the "mids" and everything above (around 1000Hz and higher) until you hear the typical buzzing and shrilling (+10db, maybe more, this depends on output level of the raw file). The equalizer setting could look like the example in the attached screenshot. Give it a try and if you find a good setting, dont forget to save it.

A few days ago he posted some screenshots of a new version on facebook. He tweaked the color intensity, brightness and so on and he made totally new fields, which look way better than the fields of any other version. I like this better than all this bright stuff. Found it:
