Has it already been noted that the canopy doesn’t close all the way?

There are two throttle settings. “Start” and “Idle”. Set the first before flywheel begins spinning, wait ~25 seconds, activate the clutch. When the engine starts, switch to “Idle”. You need to advance the throttle a little, to keep the engine from quitting.

Could this mean Samsung is coming out with an improved version? My Microcenter only has one in stock. That usually means a new version is on it’s way.

Could you make the MFD cards in reverse? IOW, white background and black letters. I’ve been using your throttle overlay. Works well. Thanks

MadDog, I would bet that Europa and I are in the same situation. Which is this: We now know what to do, we just don't know how to do it. I have never done anything in Mission Editor. Looked at it, and still don't know. Could you give us a roadmap showing the steps we need to go through to change the time of day, remembering that we (at least I) are computer challenged? It seems very strange that something this inconsequential is such a big deal. I, personally, am a little peeved at ED for not changing this, already. It's their problem. I read you needed the F-15 campaign to make the F-5 BFM campaign work. More specifically, once I have paid for, downloaded, and added the activation keys, why do the campaigns I mentioned still show “inactive”? In the F-5 BFM campaign, the only action I is see is a C-130 landing and taxiing to a parking spot. What about the OB vs Stable question?

I just bought the F-5E BFM campaign, and the required F-15 module. I also have bought the P-51D Challenge campaign. I can't get either of them activated. In reading the "fine print" do I understand I can't use these with the Open Beta version of DCS? They only work with the Stable version? Thanks, VinnieJones

When I worked for Cessna, the single engine Delivery Center freq was Unicom and 5 clicks. They turned themselves off.

I guess I do have another question. If I put a mod in "Liveries", does that mean that JSGME is no longer needed? If so, how do I pick a mod I want to activate? If JSGME is still to be used, how do I change the thread in JSGME to say "Liveries" instead of "_MODS", like I used to?

So, it doesn't matter if I am downloading a cockpit mod, or a skin, or a texture, etc., it goes in "Liveries"? I just found a 2.5 ME-109K cockpit in the Lockons site. That goes in "Liveries"? Is that a new file, "DCS.Liveries", or the Liveries file already existing? Thanks,

Before 2.5 came along, there were tons of different mods available for just about every plane. Are we not getting as many new ones, as in the past, because 2.5 is a beta version, and modders are waiting for a finished version, before making new mods? Or, did all of those guys die? :) I had something like 48 JSGME mods for up to 2.1, and now there is almost nothing to take their place in 2.5. I had cockpits, sounds, textures, etc. Now, everything seems to be for just the newest modules.

So, if I want to add a mod to the FW-190D, as an example, do I need add to it "_Dora"

Trimming helps control the approach speed and rate of decent. I use 150 mph and 1000 fpm decent rate. Get them both nailed, and adjust power to make changes to being high or low in the pattern. Don’t try to drag the plane in at too low an altitude. Come in high enough to always see the runway and the spot you are aiming for. Fly about a 20 degree final, cut the power, and flair to land. I take off with about 3 degrees right rudder and pitch trim nose down 3 and a half white marks from neutral. I want to be the one that decides when the plane should lift off. No sudden ballooning., that way. Also, some right stick and all the way back until the rudder takes affect. There are several good utube tutorials.

What is it that shows on the panel or the HUD he is on the glide slope? I’m used to seeing vertical and horizontal bars showing high/low and left/right indications.

I'm getting an error msg for all of my modules and maps, telling me to retry loading, which I do but it doesn't help. The msg says the problem may result from a significant change in my computer. I did just get a new motherboard and CPU. I have "cleaned" and "repaired", but no joy. I also sent files to somewhere, as the msg suggested.
