  1. Glider UK A couple of questions, before I place an order. What are the plates made of, and how thick? Also, what glider do you fly? I used to have a Phoebus B1, then a Libelle 201B. Too old to fly in real life, anymore. That’s why I’m in simulators, now. Cheers,
  2. Also, could you change the "Site Off" button to "toggle up"". and then the "Site MSL" button to toggle down"? This would open up three buttons on the Left MFD for other assignments. Alternatively, could I get a copy of the file, so I could make changes myself? I'm finally getting into the F-5, after some time on other planes. Thanks,
  3. Do you know if he ships to the USA?
  4. How about the USS Shangri-La CV-38. It was in WWII, and still around until at least 1969.
  5. I thought the A-4 was a module, not a mod. How would you ever fly it, then, except in single player, single mission, or a campaign? If that’s the case, I’m glad it was free.
  6. Turns out it was the A-4 module. Anyone else had the same problem?
  7. I keep failing the integrity check. I have updated, repaired, and cleaned out the a** without being able to get into a server. Sometimes, at the beginning, I have a green at the top of the screen, but still fail the integrity check. What more can I do?
  8. Try staying inverted until the nose drops below the horizon.
  9. Thanks, I’ll try that. But I would still like to see the curves 000rick000 mentioned. They sound great.
  10. It uses less black ink in the printer
  11. Could we get their curves, please?
  12. Anyone have any they would like to share
  13. I’m very interested in this app for the Hornet. Has there been any updates since July? Anyone else have it working? Is this the same app in the AppStore called “DCS Virtual Cockpit”? Thanks
  14. I would really have liked to have had an owners manual. Maybe say what each controller button does. Or, if I want to change X, what steps do I take? Some diagrams and a little verbiage would help. Games may be different, but the headset operates the same for each. I didn’t feel like I was IN the cockpit so much as in a fuzzier cockpit with worse colors. You can’t see in back of you. I’m going to wait awhile, and see how VR improves.
  15. Well, I got DCS working, and flew around a bit. did a landing, and have decided VR is not ready for prime time. If you can't see in back of you in a dogfight, the flat screen is better. The resolution is good enough for some games. Flight sim is not one of them. I'll be sending the Rift S back to Amazon. At 75, I hope VR becomes good enough while I am still able to fly.
  16. Jabbers, What changes have you made to your video since 2017? DCS is up to 2.5.5. New hardware, upgraded the HMD, changed DCS video settings, etc? Thanks,
  17. I guess it’s my own fault for not asking. But the setup instructions for the Rift S suck. For instance, can anyone explain now to put the batteries in the controllers?
  18. Just ordered Rift S from Amazon. (fingered crossed)
  19. After doing some price comparisons, I have another question. If I will only be using VR for flight sim, do I really need anything but a headset? A complete Vive setup is $500, but the Vive Pro headset, by itself, is only $100 more.
  20. Thanks, all.
  21. How about question 1?
  22. 1. If I don’t use the Steam version of DCS Open Beta, am I limited in my choice of VR headsets? 2. I see that some headsets don’t have mechanical IPD adjustments. Some of them have a software method of adjusting IPD. Is the s/w method as accurate? 3. Odyssey+, HTC Vive, Rift S: which is best for me, money not being a factor? TWC_SLAG
  23. Does this mean they are soon coming out with a new and improved version, and want to get rid of their inventory of the current model?
  24. After reading all of the previous posts, I see some people picking one or the other based on the qualities of the real aircraft. Others based their opinion on the merits of these two planes as offered by DCS, which is really what the original question was about. I remember being told time and time again, as a student, RTFQ before you answer.
  25. Even at several thousand feet, the gear will go down and then not go up. I have also had one gear go up and then come right back down. After that, they won’t move.
