  1. +1 The liveries dialog default size is tiny. Ctrl+L seems like it turns on connectors instead of opening the liveries dialog like it should.
  2. I hope this doesn’t complicate things but I thought it was a neat gif. This is a bit more complex since it’s a dual spool high bypass turbofan (as opposed to a turbojet). Source: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Turbofan_Labelled.gif
  3. Does anyone have any photos of a real life bare / unpainted Mirage? I can’t find any.
  4. I’d love to have sci-fi aircraft. Yukikaze anyone? Or the MAVE :D
  5. Maverick Su-35S, I think of you could reduce your argument down to a few concise points it’d be helpful. I’m having trouble following what topic of discussion is supposed to be here. This thread has turned into an argument for the sake of having an argument.
  6. Something interesting on the D-Day Wikipedia: Further reading about the aerial and naval deceptions
  7. Vitormoura directed me here from another thread :) Here’s a picture I took of the J58 at the USAF museum And the Junkers Jumo 003:
  8. Here’s an interesting snippet (I can’t find the source now ) regarding the effects of LE flaps on pitch authority vs AoA:
  9. No problem :D This it getting off topic but the blackbird/J58 really incredible.
  10. Thanks for the informative post. Forward speed seems to be a good thing for net thrust on the F-15 Source: REAL-TIME IN-FLIGHT THRUST CALCULATION ON A DIGITAL ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL-EQUIPPED F100 ENGINE IN AN F-15 AIRPLANE “The faster you go, the faster you go faster”
  11. It’s not just us “guys” mislabeling. We’ve got the DCS Su-27 manual mislabeling LE flaps as slats too apparently.
  12. Thanks for the update. The inlet ramps are such a neat piece of engineering
  13. My condolences. I saw last night on the mod discord. He was always so helpful. It’s difficult to imagine him not being around.
  14. A user in this thread was able to read the MLX90333 with an MCP3208 ADC on arduino. Is that the same hall used in the WH throttle? Also deltaalphalima1 in this thread seems to have reverse engineered some of the i2c protocol for his slew sensor mod. Perhaps he could contribute some knowledge regarding the throttle sensor i2c?
  15. I don’t know. I do think it’d have a better chance of being acknowledged if it were posted within the 2.5 Open Beta Bugs and Problems sub forum.
  16. Thanks for the response. As far as I’m aware the x56 is one of only two split throttles on the market currently. The TM Warthog throttle being the other, at a price of roughly $260 USD for the throttle only. The x56 throttle only would come in at significantly lower price point. I think you’d find a significant amount of potential customers that already have a flight stick but need a split throttle for a multitude of reasons.
  17. Are you doing the turn performance testing with or without the stick deflection limiter override enabled?
  18. Thanks for posting LOGIRich. Any chance of the throttle being sold separately without the stick?
  19. No problem! I posted in the thread so it was easier for me to find
  20. It appears the DFCS Logic was updated in 2003 to v10.7 which, if I’m understanding correctly, includes the pirouette logic:
  21. It was this post and is discussed in the following 2-3 pages of the thread.
  22. That’s odd. I’m running Windows 7 and it’s there. Maybe you’re looking at the properties for the wrong folder? Regardless the command line method soundslikerust mentioned should work
  23. Your saved games folder should be located in C: /users/yourusername/Saved Games If you want to move it: Navigate to c: /users/yourusername -> right click “Saved Games” -> click properties -> go to the location tab -> click move and select the new directory
