  1. 1) Takeoff: Ensure you are lined up centered on the runway. Apply maximum braking. Press rctrl+enter to bring up the control indicator Check flaps are down. Pull the stick full aft once and return it to center. Advance throttles to 80%. Release brakes and advance throttle to max. Apply a small amount of rudder to track the runway centerline if there is a crosswind component. (Adding a heavy curve to the rudder axis will help to avoid the tendency to over correct with rudder) At 120 knots apply 1/2 aft stick and rotate the nose to 10 degrees. Once your airborne raise gear and flaps 2) The FUEL QTY indicator is at the lower right of the front panel. The eagle carries 13,500lbs of internal fuel. 3) When firing an AIM-120, once the time to active countdown reaches zero the missile is active and guiding itself. There’s no benefit to keeping the target locked.
  2. That’s ridiculous. I imagine they’ll gouge you for parts+labor. Also the throttle weighs like 10lbs so shipping won’t be all that cheap. TM really needs to get their act together.
  3. It sounds like you’ve joined the club Mine bricked after ~3.5 years. I’m hesitant to give TM any more of my money for a replacement board.
  4. What do you mean “by the old format”? I’ve never included .dds in my description.lua The OP’s textures are loading now. I suspect either its the wrong dds export type or layer problems.
  5. ALT Hold still wasn’t working correctly for me above 30kft supersonic as of two weeks ago. Wind seems to make it worse.
  6. That’s an interesting result :D Can you make a zip of your skin an upload it?
  7. I think the modified textures (the dds files that reside in that local folder) should be set to false. Also you need to specify the name of the texture file in the description. For example: {"f15wingl", 0 ,"winter_wing_l",false};
  8. There may be a way to modify it in a lua file somewhere. The parameter is something like head_shake_amplitude IIRC
  9. I’ll have to take your word for it. .The AGARD paper was written by the Head of Flight Dynamics at Dassault. I thought perhaps it contained something the FM or ICAS paper didn’t. I’ve had limited success using google translate’s camera function but it’s just too much text in this case to bother. :music_whistling:
  10. Thanks for clearing that up. I've read the ICAS paper, I didn't realize the manual on avialogs included FBW info  I believe some information in the ICAS paper is common with this this AGARD conference presentation starting on page 77. I don't speak french however so I'm not sure if any additional/relevant info is contained within the text. Sure. Sitting down it's possible for a weakling like me to yank 40kg (~88lbs in freedom units;) ) so long as long as I'm sitting and can brace my legs against something. The purpose (I'm not trying to imply you're wrong here) is the required force is so high such that a pilot must make a very conscious effort to exceed it.
  11. Sorry if I missed it but where is the 40kg figure being cited from?
  12. No problem! Being provided raw data / tables and visualizing into graph form would be the most efficient method for me. Happy Holidays!
  13. Just curious, What airspeed and altitude did it happen at? My friend experienced a strange PIO, clean jet, with full aft stick on the deck at roughly .95M
  14. My apologies. I thought the information was relevant and could be of some value to ED.
  15. I’d be happy to create / contribute charts for some of the basic NATO style performance charts based on performance data obtained from the DCS. For example level flight acceleration, climb and range at different drag indexes. Here are some simple quick and dirty charts I created for flight tests https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=194752
  16. It would but I just realized he has the slider checkbox selected. So forward stick would move the indicator to the left in this case. You have to use slider for this because otherwise the curve is applied symmetric to both forward and aft stick movement. That's my understanding as well. Not sure of the exact displacement but forward travel is typically much smaller than aft.
  17. Edit: Oh, raccoon eyes from “eyeballs-out” nevagtive G.
  18. Yes, the curve pictured would provide maximum input at a lower stick displacement. There would be a large dead area after that. A user curve isn’t really required for that, the X or Y saturation would do the same thing. Edit: Disregard. I was mistaken, correction in this post
  19. I apologize if this is been posted before, I just found it last night. It may be a good reference for the flight model performance:
  20. I believe the proper terminology is Angle Off Tail (AOT) while the HUD would be Aspect Angle
  21. I’ve wanted such a feature in DCS for a while now. Barrel distortion is used in DCS for VR though I think it is performed using the Oculus SDK. I’m not sure if that same method could be applied for monitors though. It would be a amazing for those of us with 21:9 curved ultrawide displays.
  22. Yep, I mentioned that earlier in this post but couldn’t remember the key binding
  23. Here are the demos I filmed last summer. The sound came out very well. F/A-18F And here’s the F-22 for comparison
