no, strange ...haha

haha, lots of fanboys here :D sry, but when i was buying the P51 which is a superb simulated plane (imo) i assumed the Dora would be get the same deep development... Or what did they change from beta to alpha status ?....near nothing ! there should be cockpitglass damage since a patch ...never see it happen yet. MW50 can be used muuch longer than 3x10min with 5min pause between...and so on. Anyway i dont fly her anymore
-
i bought this plane in beta and was a bit disappointed about its unfinished things. now the Dora is in alpha status.... without a pilot figure shown in cockpit, without fixed bugs and without a damage model which is acceptable. without rockets, without reworked bomb blast for 500kg and many more things which perhaps are more important than these ! Is this plane really at the end of its development in DCS ? If yes i will be more carefull to buy next plane !

shit, had a 10min dogfight.....replay lets crash my plane after take off....last hope ....Is it possible to take control in replay for a moment and than switch back to original replay ??

DCS World Su-25T operation: A Beginner's tips for beginners.
kubanloewe replied to esb77's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
i see not these mentioned cockpit lights when switching on the IR jammer with button E after 5 minutes ? see nothing, dont know if it works. -
@Plexus very nice idea ! i f you like you can use some sound from my video :-)
-
do you think it´s a good advice to loose most of your energy by doing some fancy gimmicks in an pure energy fighter which could´nt turn with it´s opponent at all ? Most Dora´s who do that fall pretty fast...that´s all what i can say from my P51 experience in Dogs of War server. and even if you can control those fancy maneauvers or not does´nt really matter.....it did´nt in IL2 and it does´nt in DCS and perhaps it never did in reality.....if i control my overshot as you your snaproll you never hit me and i have gain tha energy advantage plus the better turnrate. now the Dora is more in trouble than before !

Possible beta FM bug involving bouncing after a crash?

haha, no but i reviewed my yesterdays Dora kills and it rises more and more to me she´s real shit....ok let´s say bad :-) -
Possible beta FM bug involving bouncing after a crash?
kubanloewe replied to Harpoon's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
ok, but i didnt notice it yet in my P51..perhaps due to the fact this plane needs nearly only half the input of rudder and controls when take off and touch down as the shit Dora :D when they coupled thios on stick pos and plane speed they are really no good devs because the P51 has a nice G-meter in cockpit; couple it to this and than it should be more realistic, lol -
FM of AI is out of reality and FM for human. Play against humans Online and you got results and pretty good fighting as long as you can spot your enemies Dot
-
Sidewinder Force Feedback2 X and Y to 20% and rudder to 30% very good and Force Feedback works also well. In Dora i have Y to 25% because she is sluggish in that direction like in IL2. SU25T same as in P51...very good i cant agree with Yo-Yo because a Pilot dont need 100% deflection in over 90% of flight time so a higher resolution between 0-50% is useful and regarding our short sticks i find more realistic.

Possible beta FM bug involving bouncing after a crash?
kubanloewe replied to Harpoon's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
yep this happens to all models but the Dora jumps the highest :D if you load a vid pls do also show the inside cockpit view after touch down and rolling; there is another thing which shows thats something very wrong with the FM: The Pilot breath like in a high G maneauver ! Sometimes he do that at take off rolling too. For me this is a sign that the devs have let massive forces working on the 190 at take off and landing which is totally NONSENSE. -
i´ve got today on Dogs of War server many flak hits in my P51. outside the cockpit i saw absolutely nothing but in outside view i saw many holes in my fuselage. Plane flies like new but than i get a hit and near all my electric systems and gauges were gone. Gunsight, radio, altimeter, kompass, rpm, lights. Speedo, boost and fuel gauges were ok so i flew another 15min before another hit let my plane smoke dark...but i flew 20min home without any engine failure or oil pressure drop and landed. At landing yes the plane behaviour was bad so damage seems there and engine power was also reduced a bit. btw. 190´s looses wings very fast with cal.50´s
-
fighting AI is complete nonsense, you hit them and they fly away like rockets back home...now chance to reach them even when heavy damaged and smoke all around; forget AI planes ! they maneauver at speeds were your own stall. Fighting human players is the only way to go and compare the DCS flight and damage model.

Kodoss thx for that; very nice to see how simple and compact they implement a intercooler. did´nt know the Jumo213 had one, nice. the cooler liquid temps can be 100°C at normal flight, 110°C at climbing and up to 130°C at taxiing/take off ! (but how long before the overpressure valve opens and liquid flow out ?) i see this happen live 2005 when BF109G "rote 7" was taxiing the whole runway 2 times after landing and a massive flow of hot water/vapour flow over the engine and ran onto the ground.....they had to fill in about 5-10ltr after cooling down. i try to interpret how i put all this in my thought´s with my limited english. i see a controller which acts as a servo for a double acting hydr. cylinder direct operating the cooler flaps. this controller gets his input (set point) from Nr11 (kapillaranschluß für Temperaturregler) from upstream engine right side; left engine side upstream Nr10 goes to the gauge in cockpit. Now, i know these "kapillarrohrfühler" are filled with a fluid (perhaps PEG). This fluid expand and depending on the amount it could regulat a valve. We know this for boiler heating in our households or whatever. In the Dora´s case this "Fühler" regulate a hydraulic valve which let the hydraulic oil go in one or the other side of the double acting cylinder, clinder stem is pulled in flaps open or stem out close the flaps. They do this because the force of the kapillarfühler isn´t enough for the flaps and another reason could be; if using hydraulic you can put in some other influence as you wish like throttles or perhaps this hand operated override wheel. The regulating valve must have a spring which force it to back position where the hydraulic oil normally flow in that piston (cylinder) chamber which closes the flaps. If engine liquid reach set point of "Kapillarrohrfühler" it´s intern Polyethylenglycol moves the regulating valve forward and oil flow in the other chamber of the cylinder; flaps begin to open. The set point seems to be fix (90-100°C) unlike our´s which we use in our boiler heating valve regulating today where we load a spring force by a handwheel. Handwheel and spring! Now, that´s perhaps this thing in the cockpit which the pilot could use to "influence" or perhaps damping the 2point on-off regulating for more constant temperatur and less overswing. What i mean are some extrem conditions like -20°C outside or 40°C, the regulating is set for 26°C as mentioned. Now these ranges did impact the consistant regulating in a way that the system began to "pump"; cooler flaps open....extrem cold air flow lets liquid fast dooling down...Kapillarrohrfühler measures to cold and let flaps close....liquid temp rises and flaps open again...and so on ! That´s perhaps funny to look from outside the plane but not very smart. With the Handwheel "perhaps!" the pilot or better the groundcrew did this before they can damp this "pumping" by loading the spring of the regulating valve (servo). So it needs more force from the Kapillarrohrfühler to open the flaps. With other words; the same set point let follow a less open flap. Or if not this way than perhaps the acting of this handwheel could be to pull direct the flaps open or close instead to influence the servovalve position. But to my knowledge the effect would be the same with the advantage to open and close flaps without having oil pressure ! Perhaps this is more likely. The "Telekinzug" is like a Bowden but in a unflexible tube. what we need is a logic plan.

Fw 190D-9 Campaign Problems and Suggestions
kubanloewe replied to wolle's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
i see no campaign in game for 190 ...? is it for testers only yet ? version 1.2.10.32582 -
yep, it depends but on what ? yesterday i hit a 190 several times and it smoked dark black but flew about half an hour without any sign of engine failure or loosing power. On the other hand it seems pretty easy to clip the wing of the 190 ! I hit one and it looses left wing...than shoot at right wing and it also fall off...lol. here near the end of the vid.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCJkneMT5gc i smell the DM is from my old LockOn without any changes for these WW2 dogfight battles. sure for these modern rockets or high effective guns you dont need to create a complicated DM...if a rocket hit you dead, nearly the same with new canons. But with WW2 planes we definately need muuch detailed damage model ! Loosing fuel is implemented but loosing cooling liquid i dont know ? I never had a damage in my cockpitglass or a gauge. yes and as a crown on all i like to choose my own rounds in the gun belt. i know the cal. 50 has perhaps only 2 different shells ? but for the german planes there are a few more. ok, a changeable 20mm and 30mm gun in 109 would be nice first.

since the Dogs of War server thread is closed .... a sunday afternoon flight with "Hellhound" and some others... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCJkneMT5gc

to my knowledge the MK108 was only practicable against bombers. I read from 2 pilots who stated it does much earlier jam when g forces stay on the ammobelt. One said after some gunjams he pull the 109 nose a bit over his target than push a bit back so that the positive g force went and than the MK108 fires always without trouble. i really dont know why they took in this thing in a 109 which main targets were fighters in missions with heavy 190 bomber destroyers which they had to cover against "little friends". since the 109 and 190´s had low range of armament i hope to change between the MG151/20 and the MK108 online !

comparing P51 or Dora against AI is bullshit. Fly only against human players Online than you get the reality what DCS programmed and what a human player is able to do with it ! i find the 190 easy meat for my P51. stay fast in the P51 and if fast 190´s there flying with WEP (15-20min!) without overheating until steep climbing which you should not do against a 190. if a Hun is behind you ...let him come close than throttle back and do a hard turn, either he overshoot than change direction stay low level or dive so he early loose your sight in that shit DCS Dotfight World :-). If diving you can pull harder than he but you have to know your limits; if so the 190 cant follow; it looses wing when pulling out of the dive or his rudder becomes stiff so he cant follow either! Or he set flaps and try to scissor or curve than you are quickly in favour with your better flap controlling and much tighter turning rate....mostly after 360° you are behind him and now he is your pray....the P51 can easy stay behind the Hun regardless what maneauvers he will try...his only chance is to flee with MW50 and than go in a loong climb turn which you should not to follow because you cant follow. But if you let this happen you did something wrong before ! ....when he run away most time you can easily give him some hits with the straight cal.50 pattern. Fly both planes only Online but for me it´s so much easier to win a fight against a 190 than vice versa. 190 is a bit faster with MW50 yes and can climb better, but that´s it. above 20000ft without MW50boost it´s a even more helpless brick.
-
anyway, i open it from startup 7-8sec. and can fly, climb with MW50 until its empty :D same with P51; run her in automatic flaps and wep about half an hour, looking at temp and perhaps climbing more flat to keep speed over 200mph. see absolutely no realism in all that !
-
yep, after a few days playing around with her i switched back to P51....a beauty on ground and in air.
-
a IL2 would be nice but Yak only in civil after war version without guns. i like to have the Mossie and the Me 410 !
-
i would like to see all the Mosquito and Me 410 Variants !
-
that´s what i wrote. But i think ingame the auto flaps are´nt working if any input is given with the handwheel ? That perhaps should only in full open or full close or in other words when Sollwertsteller is set out of range from auto thermostat range.
