  1. There is something more critical about landing gear sequence that nobody ever mentioned ...
  2. Nope. Likely not (depending on munition and fuze). Fuze(s) needs enough energy to activate detonation on impact (for impact fuze ... not speaking about airburst type bombs).
  3. Copy/paste works of other ppl then selling it!
  4. While not absolutely forbidden per say, this is not recommended on F-16 (described in flight manual).
  5. That should not be the cases. Bombs has to spend a period of time in free fall at a proper speed to be armed. They can't explode right after pylon separation. This is also one of the purposes of the arming delay set in SMS page (which is mainly to prevent fragment damages after explosion).
  6. Just for the little story: Some years ago, I've asked two of my best friends dinning at home, one is an M2000D pilot (one of them on the pic), the other one is M2000N (former AJet demonstrator now now in the French Patrouille de France, both are of course very experienced on M2000). They are not really practicing PC flight simulation except in the past, wen we were young cadets, on LockOn flying upside down passing below the bridges just for the fun. I've asked them to fly a Mirage2000 in "another sim" seated in a SimPit with a HOTAS Cougar. I asked about their feeling/feedback about the way "it fly". They both said: "Woaowhhh ... Amazing! ... this is really accurate!" I didn't told them everything. I have actually conducted a test with them: They didn't realised that they were flying an F-16 FLCS with just a M2000 3D cockpit. I let you make your own conclusions. Mine is: Asking a RL pilot for his feedback is not necessarily consistent if he is not doing it with a strong analytic method. So, working with RL pilot can be a precious help and a huge potential feedback ... if ... only if, they in the right process and knows what and how to analyze. In some cases (experienced also) they can be even wrong about figures ... and subjective feedback can be counterproductive. So "it has been validated by RL pilots" ... basically, it can means anything and everything. To my personal experience of the dev, the best combination is: engineer, mathematicians, pilot, and when you have a coder who is the four at the same time, it is even better. Cheers!
  7. I m not engineer, I am a simple driver. (not F-16 though ...) I won't fight into your domain of expertise. No doubt you are much more educated than I am about equations and math. :) I think I see what you mean: You are speaking about FM while we are speaking about FLCS. Am I correct?
  8. Hi To mention few of them: SPI ... all UFC features, accurate DLZ envelopes and delivery modes, A/G radar modes, more complete TGP features, ALT GEAR, accurate FLCS, engine accurate functions ... etc ... , of course, RWR ... Many things actually. Got to be patient. But to me too, AGM-65 is far from being the most important things to have unless we do not consider the accuracy of the airframe itself. Regards.
  9. ... among other things ... roll rate in CATIII is indeed currently about 1/2 of what it should.
  10. Hi! Not a "dead horse" as long as it is not on my hard drive ... World is plenty of promises. ;) Besides ... I didn't bought he Kiowa. I bought the Gazelle. Regards
  11. Hi! Besides the fact that it is confirmed by manuals, electrical schemes & diagrams, crew chiefs, pilots, ... Watch from 1:20 to 1:40 ... we can see pilot's hands anytime, a no point he is looking at the left console nor puts his hands on it. Regards.
  12. To me, each modules seems to have (by default) another FOV setting. Maybe it is tie to this (?)
  13. Hi! This is also true. But we are not discussing about "details" and "feelings" here. It is much much much beyond that, and indisputably obvious even for people who never flew helicopters for real. Yep. But when figures and FM are not good it is even worse. Can add those discussion with Fennec & Gazelle pilot (have to use a translator, sorry). http://www.checksix-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=465&t=200331&p=1678174#p1678174 http://www.checksix-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=465&t=204955&p=1719152&hilit=gazelle#p1719152 http://www.checksix-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=465&t=206209&p=1742308&hilit=inertie#p1742308 Kind regards.
  14. I don't see why "so many" ppl wants AGM-65(?) IF it is correctly implemented, it will be a "crappy" weapons very touchy/difficult/restrictive to use (at least on F-16, I can't tell on A-10). Unless for the pleasure of the challenge.
  15. Hi! I can tell. And I can point to some discussions with RL helicopter pilot who flew on Gazelle. I do fly from time to time on Gazelle, not as pilot (probably someday I will be able to y it) but enought to say that the real thing is nothing like in game. I still hope for (serious) enhencements. So far, DCS Gazelle is far from a real helicopter behavior. Even not like an electric model. Regards. EDIT: I do only speak about FM. Avionics and pit are nicely done!
  16. Hi! This is not totally accurate ... we can discuss it via PM if you wish. Kind regards.
  17. Respect sir.
  18. Not blaming anyone, but it is factual to say that about 75-80% is not completed (or not fully correct) unless "one" badly knows the F-16 and its systems. What is currently implemented are the minimums basic to fly, shoot guns/missile and drop a bomb. The road is long. Better not denying it otherwise disappointment will be even higher for F-16 lovers. There is a reason why it is called a Beta. Just wait patiently. Be active on reports. Still a huge amount of work to accomplish on this module. The most difficult tasks are probably (certainly) ahead. Normal that it takes time.
  19. Oky I see. Is it indeed not a matter of O² but just to help "inflating the lungs". That doesn't increase G tolerance.
  20. No it does not really (at least not that I ever learned nor experienced) O² supply helps in retarding hypoxia. Not G-LOC. Hypoxia is not enough O² in blood cells. G-LOC is rather "no blood at all". Maybe it could retard a bit the color loss (?) ... but not the LOC.
  21. The issue is obvious ... and the solution also is.
  22. Not only on F-16.
  23. IMHO, way before considering AGM-65D or any other weapons, I think that there are way more important features to fix/implement. There is also a huge and obvious bug that noboby ever mentioned here (as far as I know). ... about six months after the Alpha release. Curious about when it will be reported ;)
  24. Depends on your altitude, static temperature, pressure, airspeed ...
