I can top that, 10G at Khasab on the PG map Let's hope for ED putting out the next patch which will include the fix mentioned above quickly.

Hello, found two little things with the blind flying hood in the rear cockpit. 1. If the blind flying hood is folded in internal view everything is okay, but the hood is visible in external F2 view as it is in place. 2. The canopy handle interferes with the blind flying hood, the arrow in screenshot. In internal view it's okay. Thanks Jens

Thanks, let's see, how this will proceed. As far as I know, only helicopters have currently engine icing / de-icing in game.

I just had a flight with weather preset Broken 3, I think is it called, in Caucasus, with 14°C at sea level. Clouds top end was abut 23000ft, some cirrus clouds way above. Was flying at 25000ft, so above the clouds in free cold air. ICE warning light was on all the time I entered clouds on climbing and stayed on at FL250. Shouldn't there be no problem with icing anymore when well outside of the clouds? Had engine anti-ice on during climb but switched it off at FL250 and there was no problem with engine inlet icing. Hello, the airshow smoke has severely reduced in 2.8. Here is a test done in 2.8 OB and 2.7 stable. L-39C AI, WP1 300m, 450 km/h - smoke on, WP2 over runway action perform aerobatics loop: This is how it looks in DCS 2.8 How it looks in DCS 2.7 stable: Regarding performance, maybe it's okay to shorten the effect a bit, but the reduction we see in 2.8 is a bit too much from my point of view. Thanks Jens

Noticed the same, in 2.7 you could perform a loop in the C-101 and that smoke was visible from start to finish. I guess, this is nothing IFE could change. Have you found anything in the core section reports? Not with MB-339 but L-39C AI, loop flown over runway: DCS 2.8 how it looks in DCS 2.7 stable: Will post the same report in DCS core general section. added core report:

Hello, looks like the back seat NAV-RDU's brightness is coupled with the front seat control. You can only control the brightness of the NAV display in the back seat. Back seat RDU brightness has the value which is set in the front cockpit. See screenshots and track. Front seat RDU dim aligned with NAV unit dim: Back seat, NAV unit display bright, but RDU dim as in front seat: For the radio frequency repeater panel it works as intended, front seat controlled by frontseat UHV/VHF radio brightness controll and back seat from the corresponding back seat unit. Thanks Jens MB339-RDU_brightness_front_back_seat.trk

AHRS/GPS System in Nevada!? No western coordinates?!
gulredrel replied to gulredrel's topic in DCS: MB-339
Thanks @IvanK for the explanation, haven't found it in the manual or wasn't paying enough attention. For navigation, I noticed this yesterday. Info on HSI and data display where correct for ME preset waypoints. One thing I noticed, the landing waypoint from ME isn't part of the preset flightplan, is this intended? Also bearing and range will only be displayed on the NAV unit itself, but not on RDU? Would be nice to have ranging info to airport on RDU, when HSI is in ILS mode. -
Start at runway take off question

I also would think wet runway? -
Hello, wanted to fly in Nevada and created mission at Creech AFB cold start. During AHRS/GPS System alignment and present position data output, the longitude has no values. Manual data entry is only possible for eastern values. Is this by design of the NAV system? How can we use the system in western hemisphere? Anyone tried this yet? Thanks Jens

Glad it's solved. Click and drag works a bit faster on the knob in contrast to pure mouse wheel scrolling. Hot start (ramp or RW) vs. cold start on ramp setting of altimeter could be a thing for @6S.Duke. Maybe the random value should only be initialized with a cold ramp start. For the hot starts it should be set to QNH, as this would be part of pre-taxi checklist, I guess?
-
Haven't started in the air yet. But the altimeter on ramp initiates with some random values. So even the same mission with same set pressure value will result in spawning the plane with different pressure setting on the altimeter. You have to set QNH yourself. From the manual p. 110: So from your picture, the pressure setting is 950 millibar, the min value on instrument. What's the QNH in the mission? For air starts this may follow a different initialization.

Part of the known issues list is: "Missing many key binds" So I guess, this will be implemented later on together with many many more key binding options.

Mk82 Training... direct hit, but only with the last bomb. The others were short or long.

Dunno if this is a bug -- Altimeter center number

The frame of the RDU also looks like a texturing mismatch. Looks okay on my install and I never had the mod installed. -
Anti-runway bombs training mission issues

Thanks, this low level delivery method sounds more reasonable. Scary real picture, better only doing some virtual damage.
