  1. Nothing new to many here but maybe of interest to some. I've just posted on youtube a 9 minute video showing my implementation of SoftTH and four screens in a Tee shape with the Huey. (though I also run P 51 and BS 2 this way) I've resorted to this rather than Helios, which is still better, I think, for A10-C, because it would seem like we are never going to be able to export details from the sim to Helios, for these new additions.
  2. Well you can adjust all the views using RCTL + RSHFT and the numpad keys, then when you get it to what you want as your default view, use RTALT + NUMPAD 0 to save.
  3. Numpad 5 usually resets to what has been your default view. I say it like that because you can change that if the view lua file is enabled.
  4. Good Didn't know the A10C had an overhead panel. LOL You got some switch displacement on the Fuel Panel by the look of it. Nice setup though, must be real good in BS2. :)
  5. I run a four screen setup, similar to what you are attempting to achieve. You can not calibrate the touch screen to work in window mode if you set the size to be 5040 x 2088. It will corrupt the calibration form a single screen setup to spread over the whole four screens, but there are ways around this. If you are planning to use Helios then the best way is to use your fourth screen alongside the 3 screen setup in windows. This has the benefit of reducing the amount of rendered pixels. You will presumably still want the touchscreen to be physically below the triple but this does not matter. If not using Helios, as I don't for Mustang or Huey, then SoftTh doesn't seem to have this problem and even though you are rendering a lot more it doesn't have any effect on the Touch screen calibration (well at least not in my setup) Of course your windows setup needs to replicate your physical setup when using SoftTH Hope this helps. A lot easier to show than write about. This is how my screens are setup for Helios and this is how it looks
  6. They are called "Cockpit Camera Move Back and Forward" RT CTL plus RT SHFT plus the Number Keypad buttons move your "head" about in the cockpit.
  7. Just thinking about letting my Thrustmaster Cougar Flight Control System, Stick, Throttle and Rudder Control System (Hall sensor mod installed) go for sale if anyone is interested. All work fine with no spiking, all buttons and rotaries work fine. PM me if interested.
  8. That works Peter, but is still not ideal, unfortunately, the individual selections are hard to operate with fingers in the touchscreen as they are so small. The indicator for which channel you are using stays in a relative position to the Radio Menu and is now out of view behind Helios. And finally the GUI, of course is now over on the right monitor which is less than ideal. Why the heck does ED keep screwing up these things. You had a brilliant find/solution, back in 1.1 (was it?) where we could move it, resize it, change colours, and that worked really, really well. Alas no more.
  9. Ivan, I too have RCS Hall modified and was wondering how they compared to the MFG's in spring feel, strength??
  10. Not what I'm seeing. Mine are responding in unison with the controls. (Don't see that having Hyds on or off would make a difference to the movement though.)
  11. Thanks again Peter Here is an image of my intentions. This is how windows views it, but in reality I place the fourth monitor underneath the other 3 in a Tee. It was so much easier, many moons ago, when you could just edit the luas to get things placed, sized and coloured how you wanted. ED lets get back there.
  12. Thanks PeterP (yet again LOL) Another good addition to your "catalog" of mods. It runs pefectly as adverstised in my centre monitor but...... I run an Eyefinity plus a fourth monitor Extended Desktop to the right in Windows setup BUT physically below the centre of the Eyefinity group. (I run Helios) So is there any way with your mod to get the Clickable Radio Menu there. It is of course well outside the GUI parameters. Thanks again in advance Loz
  13. Absolutely Add me to the list. PS. Should also be positionable as it once was. :pilotfly:
  14. Hi Cowboy As we know from past chat that you are running a similar setup to mine and I don't have that problem with MP Huey using SoftTH I have this line in my Monitor lua _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('FourScreensSoftTH'); Description = 'Four Screen Configuration' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = screen.width; height = screen.height; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = screen.aspect; } } Gui = { x = 2064; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1200; } UIMainView = Gui The 2064 being where I want the left side of the GUI (my monitors being 1920 x 1200) So for yours (if I've read your screen setup correctly) you'd need x = 1920; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; You may have to play around with the "x" size to get the GUI exactly where you want. With mine, I seem to have to put it further to the right than I would expect for my Bezel Compensation, but that amount starts it in exactly the right spot. Try it see if it works
  15. Not much help to you, but I have been running TM Warthog with Win 7 64 bit since the stick was first released and while I haven't used the TARGET software, I've had no probs with the Stick or the Throttle. So probably just an installation issue. Keep trying :)
  16. My thoughts after seeing this guy "enjoy" himself at his work was, I wonder how long before that sort of performance turns around and bites him hard. Well don't know for sure it was the same pilot but someone managed to crash that nice helicopter. Rolled over on landing on snow at Cormet de Roseland in the Alps.

    Really, ffs!

Nope for it's back down to £6 or $9.99 until 1730 GMT Best buy of the century. This will come back to bite them I think. I for one will wait in future to see what prices eventually come down to. I've got too many thing to play or sim with anyway. :smartass:
  18. Try changing to your full screen res and correct apect like this: { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 2704; height = 1050; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 2.57; } Good luck :)

    How real?

I really think that a lot of people here are under estimating the fear factor when in the real thing, with the knowledge that if you don't do everything correctly, you could well kill yourself (and anyone else onboard or nearby.) That will sure make you tighten up severely on the controls. A quick "when I" story to illustrate my point. I had been a pilot in the RAF for all of 18 months still training on Helis but now moved on to advanced training on a bigger bird. (A Westland Whirlwind, so that shows how long ago this was) I was solo and happily doing circuits when on one approach I suddenly felt the Yaw pedals go really loose, just like something had snapped in the control runs, even though I still had full control. So bad was this sensation, that I cut short my sortie and returned to dispersal and shut down. I reported the "fault" to the engineers and after they had fully checked it out they couldn't find anything wrong. After discussing this with my instructor we came to the conclusion that on this approach, everything was going so well and my confidence / experience was such that I finally stopped pressing both rudder pedals at the same time!! Relaxed, I was now feeling how light the pedal force really was. :music_whistling: A death grip on the controls, leading to over controlling, PIO and subsequent spearing into the ground would almost certainly be the result for a high percentage of guys trying to fly a real helicopter, even with extensive experience on DCS Huey. IMHO (Taking cover now to avoid the flak!!) :pilotfly:
  20. LOL That's not down to me. All praise to Gadroc for that. But glad you got it sorted. :)
  21. Usually when none of the instruments indicate, it is a problem with Helios not being interfaced correctly with the Sim. In the profile editor with your profile loaded check "Profile Explorer/Interfaces/DCS A10C" this should give you a window with Properties, Third Party Scripts, and A10C Setup. Firstly make sure the install path is correct for your "eagle dynamics\dcs world\" folder and that you have a button "Remove Helios Setup" in the bottom right hand corner of that window. If not it will say "Setup DCS A-10C", so click on this to install. Try this and see how you get on.
  22. My suggestion was that you make sure that your Birdsetup was selected in the Sim "Option/System/Monitors" Simple I know, but it sounds like something simple if you have already had it running before.
