  1. Just looked at Matt`s youtube channel. 4th "private" video under "DCS:Mi-24P HIND"-playlist vanished.
  2. Do we get a new HIND video soon? Under Matt Wagner´s "DCS:Mi-24P HIND"-channel is a 4th "private" video.
  3. I was wondering about that too for a long time. It would be rather strange to get the newer typhoon but not be much older tornado. But then again different companys so everything is possible. +1 Nice. A recently released video.
  4. Yes, maybe there should really stick to official country names. BRD or FRG for example will be the same before and after the fall of the wall as long DCS do not bind country names to actually drawn borders on a map. But unfortunately there would be still some minor problems. How would DCS call Taiwan (if we ever get it). I understand that it would be easier for most people and scenarios to get the more informally called names. Who knows, there might be people that would think that the ROK are the red communists in north of the korean peninsula.
  5. If you want to be correct then there was neither a "east-germany" nor a "west-germany". They were only informally called that way like people speak of "south-korea" were it should be called "Republic of Korea" instead. If the current "Germany" is a stand in for the "Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (BRD) or "Federal Republic of Germany" then it should represent the former occupated zones controlled by the US, UK and France and the today unified country.
  6. Ich nutze derzeit ein TM Warthog. Stick und Throttle als kollektive Steuerung funktionieren eigentlich sehr gut. Für Helikopter sind (gute) Pedale, aber sowas wie ein Pflichtkauf.
  7. It is a fake. The panel is from an airliner. Would be cool though. I played it sometimes during flight.
  8. A Marine Expeditionary Unit" with a smaller fully animated WASP/America/Tarawa-Class carrier and animated deck crew would be really amazing. Perhaps it could bring us amphibious operation to DCS. Especially current and future marine/navy helicopters and VTOL-planes need more love from carriers.
  10. In terms of history I can understand that, but in terms of functionality and role it would be still the same as the current super carrier. I can see them in the distant future, but for now a "Marine Expeditionary Unit" with a smaller WASP/America-Class carrier would make more sense and could add amphibious operations to DCS. Moreover helicopters gain more and more ground in DCS and I am optimistic that we would get navy/marine helicopters like AH-1 Cobra, V-22 Osprey, CH-53 and SH/MH-60 in the near future.
  11. I would pay for a smaller (helicopter) carrier like the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship for navy helicopter and VTOL-planes. An Invincible-class, Queen-Elizabeth-class or mistral-class carrier would be good to. I think we do not need further larger carriers for a long time if ressources could be used better on things that are not yet implemented like more ships with complex damage models and animated deck crews for helicopter operations, anti-submarine warefare and of course navy helicopter like Sea Lynx or SH/MH-60.
  12. I absolutely would love a navy helicopter too. It is really fun and challenging to land on ships. We have a supercarrier so we need and should have navy helicopters too. Maybe a Sea Lynx, but I guess a MH-60 would be better suited for the mostly american carrier/ships. We need LSE/Marshaller on ships and on ground and maybe even a smaller "super helicoptercarrier". I would even pay for a dlc which would get us a fully modeled destroyer/frigate like the Arleigh Burke-Class to ream/repair/refuel (even refuelling while hovering), with 2x animated hangars to actually store and switch your helicopter, animated LSE/Marshaller and all sort of animated deck crew supporting your entire flight operation. We should also get proper integrated and animated action for fast rope insertion, dropping combat divers, winch extraction and proper animated troop transport. I want to do CSAR/SAR looking out for signal flares on the horizon and rescue shipwrecked persons with their blinking lifewests with our combat diver at dawn or dusk or insert troops on suspicious vessels at sea. It would be really amazing.
  13. I am in for the HH-60G Pave Hawk. It would be the most versatile medium sized helicopter for DCS. Air to air refueling with a helicopter would be really amazing. To extend the usage for combat we should get a removable Multi-Station Lightweight Armament Support Structure (MLASS/LASS) from unitech. It should be usable on S-70 variants und should enable us to deploy unguided missiles and fixed forward firing guns. Alternatively I want a standard Black Hawk variant with a removeable Multi-mission upgrade from Lockheed Martin. That should enable us to make use of the helicopter as either a troop transporter or attack helicopter with hellfires, unguided rockets and fixed forward firing guns. https://lockheedmartin.com/en-us/products/armed-black-hawk-helicopter.html Apache beware of the Sikorsky Armed Black Hawk!
  14. I guess it would really hurt to replace the beautiful map box. I heard it was not that accurate, but I hope it will be very fun to use.
  15. The year is nearly halfway through. It would be amazing to get the Kiowa and/or BO-105 this year. Both seem to progress well at the moment. I am not so optimistic to see the apache this year. I guess we have to wait patiently.
  16. I have not meassured the loading times and only use the beta with a SSHD, but I got the feeling that it improved a bit with the recent update "DCS 2.7.1.6430 Open Beta - 20.05.2021". In the versions before I realized increasing loading times.
  17. Is there even enough space for the NS430? I am glad it has at least a analog moving map.
  18. Some minor bugs on ships I saw today (2021.05.23) in syria while jumping from ship to ship with the huey: LHA-1 Tarawa: - The huey is sliding on the surface in the direction of the traveling ship. On the Ticonderoga or the DDG Arleigh Burke IIa this seems to be fixed. But on the LHA-1 Tarawa the huey slides forwards on the surface. The strange thing is that as long an ai aircraft is stationary on the carrier the sliding does not happen. I had an ai gazelle taking of before my huey and as soon the gazelle took of the huey started sliding forward in the direction of the traveling ship. - On this I am not 100% sure, but I think the propellers were not rotating. (A sidenote: The lights are really looking nice at night (I love it), but are they really that bright in real? In contrast the supercarrier lights seems so dim that you can hardly see anything.) CG Ticonderoga: - The ship was moving but the propellers were not rotating at all. (Just saw this was already reported a couple of days ago) Tanker Seawise Giant: - The huey is sliding on the surface in the direction of the traveling ship. FFG Oliver Hazzard Perry: - The huey is sliding on the surface in the direction of the traveling ship.
  19. Suggestion - Landing Signal Enlisted/ Marshaller (for helicopter) Landing a helicopter is really fun, but it would be even more amazing and add to realism to have an LSE or marshaller that would give you landing intstructions on FARPs, ships and carrier to help you centering your helicopter. I assume ED is already working on an animated LSE (with and without lightsticks) for the use on the supercarrier, if not I would suggest it now. But aside of a limited usage on only a carrier I would also suggest a placeable animated LSE/marshaller for individual created FARPs in the mission editor. I imagine two different placeable options. A square box and a circle both with an invisible (or visible) outline, with a visible center (typical helicopter markings or simply a small dot for the center) and an aiming point marking for a preferred direction of approach. The outer dimensions should be a bit scaleable and of course it should be rotateable like any placeable unit/static object to be adjusted to different situations. The outline would than define the waypoints/path for an animated LSE/marshaller. The animated LSE/marshaller should be automatically set up for the preferred direction of approuch and there should be an option that the LSE/marshaller can walk on the outer square or circle to position himself into the wind. I suggest that we would get a least a position every 45° on a square box (4x corners and 4x edges) and a position every 30° on a circle. A simple ATC could also be used to request start or landing. I think it would be a valuable addition to the game and could be used as a placeable animated object linkable to carrier and ships and of course placeable on any airport, heliport, field or FARPs. Maybe a modified version could be used for parking fixed-wing on airfields. I imagine something like in these videos:
  20. The huey would love it. Definitely a must-buy it.
  21. Yes, thank you very much Ugra Media. The map is very stunning and beautiful. And it becomes better and better. Looking forward to cyprus.
  22. I think the current Huey is good enough. The textures, lights, 3d model/details and damage model could be improved, but I don´t think that is enough to call it "Huey II". Things like that would be a nice: - an integrated NS430 navigation system - a working radar/missile-warning-system - counter-measures - Improved animations for crew - animated passengers (for example soldiers, paramedics and injured) with embarking, disembarking and ropeaction - visible load/dropable internal cargo like munition boxes, first aid boxes, or food supplys (rice bags). But than it would be much better to get a completely new module. I vote for an "UH-1Y Venom". - digital displays - flir turret (camera + laser designation) - counter-measures - weapons Browning GAU-21, GAU-16/A, GAU-17/A, 70 mm Hydra Rockets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U-1ZFdSR1Q
  23. Don't know if this helps, but if you need an english technical manual for the german 88m Flak you can find it here: https://archive.org/details/TmE9-369a-nsia
