  1. Sweet! Enjoying the old one so far, looking forward to tonight to check out your changes. Thanks!
  2. Steggles, mate, thank you so much for this! I know I will definitely find uses for this in my meager attempts at mission making for myself. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to checking it out.
  3. Nice idea, Zimmerdylan! I have already given my old stuff away to friends but will keep this idea in mind for the future. My guess is 137. Thanks and good luck to all!
  4. Excellent observations MBot!
  5. I hear you, your highness, but the Horton is such an iconic plane that, despite my love of the helos we have and will be getting, if they actually make a DCS module of this plane, there's no way in hell I won't be buying it on day one that it's offered. Even if I never get into the WWII aspect of DCS I will still enjoy just flying around with this puppy. But having said that, how are those choppers coming along? Are they ready yet?!? ;) :pilotfly:

Ah, faulty assumption that you actually already have the map. Sorry about that. No rush on it mate! Thanks for considering adding it in. You've saved me a bit of time trying to come up with my own. Much appreciated!:beer:
  7. Thanks! Looks like you had some fun there in that video.

Toertchen, thanks again for keeping up with this! Any chance you might be able to add in the Nevada frequencies at some point? Would be most helpful for those with that map, too. thanks for considering it!
  9. You're welcome! I have found this forum/community to be very helpful. I'm struggling to learn the ME and LUAs and all the rest and this group has put up with my dumb questions and has always helped out. The least I can do is try to do the same when I actually know something someone else doesn't. Doesn't happen often though. lol Excellent! It appears that I didn't need to include them after all. Great, thanks.
  10. You can store the LUA files any where you want on your HD. I made a folder for all the working 1.52/2.0 LUA files that I use so I know where they are and had a different one for the older 1.2 version we used to have. I included them because I read some time ago that with the updates that we've gotten the LUA files aren't automatically included in/attached to the mission file like they used to be. I don't know if this is actually the case or not but decided to play it safe and include them. If the mission doesn't work as intended, then the only way I know to make it work (due to the LUAs not being included in the mission file) is to re-add the LUA files to the mission via the mission editor. If you don't know how to do that, here's a brief description on how to: Start the Mission Editor (obviously it has to be DCS 2.0 and Nevada map), open up the mission file in question (Multi-Module Nellis Practice 1.01.miz in this case) and click on the "Set Rules For Triggers" button, its the 6th one down from the top on the left side. This will open all the triggers I have created for this mission. The first three are the ones you want to reload the scripts for. they are Mist, Automan, and CTLD scripts. Click on the first one and then click on the column on the far right under Actions. Click on the Do Script File entry: Open up the location of the LUA script you're re-adding and do the same for the next two entries and you're all set. Save the mission file and then fly away! I hope that all makes sense to you. Apologies if you already know all this. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.
  11. I haven't checked out Andrei's mission yet so I have no idea if he included any random airport traffic or not. I just threw this mission together in order to do what I wanted/needed to do, i.e., check out the Nevada map and practice with my various modules, especially my new toy the Mirage 2000, while having an environment that seems relatively alive. I've done something similar with the Caucasus map but with less triggers and scripts, will go back and revisit my main training mission to clean it up a bit and incorporate some new scripts and triggers with what I've learned playing with the NTTR map. EDIT: Just a heads up that I updated my mission to give the menu names hints of where the ground targets will spawn once activated in addition to some tweaks/minor additions.
  12. Stang, this may not be what you're looking for but I figure I'll post this any way. Normally I don't share what few little missions I create. Why? In a nutshell, it's because I basically suck as mission creation, design and implementation. :P Seriously, compared to what I see most people release I'm too embarrassed to show what I make... But what the heck, it's a new year and all. ;) I've just typed this up for people to explain about it. It actually all started with jcbak's original template for Nellis that I picked up and ran with. Mission Description: This is sort of a multi-module sandbox type of mission based on a airfield template I was working on that originally started with jcbak’s Nellis Template. This is mostly for the Blue side, though I have included some Russian planes, too. You can take off and just fly around doing tours of the area and when in the mood activate various air and ground forces to engage. I changed how my tweaked template works by setting up a couple of triggers to activate Creech and Groom Lake’s small amount of ground/air traffic once you fly within their zones to help out with FPS. I've included most of the modules I have, limiting them to mostly modern planes, and have made very basic targets for them. Utilizing MIST, CTLD, Automan and Tanker Respawn Script/lua scripts you are able to issue radio commands (via the F-10 Other Menu) before taking off or while in flight to activate what targets you would like to engage. This is mostly for training and practicing, not interesting complex missions. Still fun, imho. There is a little something for everyone, including those lovely helos where you can pick up and drop off troops and engage enemy troops trying to take over the Hoover dam. I've added a forward FARP for the helos so they don't have to fly all the way back to Nellis (check map for location) to rearm or get more troops. You can land and rearm as often as you like. Nellis has enough traffic to last quite awhile to help with immersion. There is also a couple of tankers and one will continually respawn if its fuel gets low or its’ health. Originally, I had all the planes setup under my own handle Justificus but changed them to being named "Avatar's"___ instead of just "Player's"___ so feel free to change them to your own handle/nickname if you’d like. This mission has no limitations, feel free to do to it whatever you wish. If you have any suggestions you think might add to the enjoyment of this mission please share! I hope you enjoy it and get some use out of it. I've also attached a zip file with the necessary LUA files to make it all work as designed. Good luck. EDIT: I realized, as I was tweaking the mission and adding some things, that nobody else would know where some of the targets (mostly the ground ones) would spawn once activated unless you memorized the mission in the editor. Therefore, I edited their names to give hints of the areas they are located, e.g., BC= Boulder City area, Hoover= Hoover Dam, Mesq.=Mesquite, etc. so that you'll have an idea when you see them in the F10 Comms menu. This version also has the Mig-29G added as flyable and a few more static ground targets in addition to the name editing. Hey, I warned you I suck at this! :) Multi-Module Needed LUAs.zip Multi-Module Nellis Practice 1.01.miz
  13. dannyq8, thanks for posting this working version. It allowed me to go in and look at how things were done and just do a little copy and pasting to add it to my current practice mission. Thanks again! Will come in handy.
  14. For the first few days that I flew this plane I hadn't learned the radar and only focused on a-g and using the Magics on some Migs. I then learned the radar and didn't really notice any difference in function, like mattebubben said, it's not implemented yet.

Yeah, that messed me up the first time that happened to me.
  16. Happy New Year and thanks for the great update. Looking even more forward to seeing what you have for us!
  17. Thanks, St3v3f, I'll give it a go and see how I make out. Will let you know if I'm successful.:pilotfly:
  18. feefifofum, thank you for the very detailed post on how to properly do it! I was screwing up because I never cloned anything, instead I just clicked on the "or" button, a new condition box would pop up and I would input the info there and assumed that the "or" was implied as it never showed up on screen. Now I got it and it works perfectly! Thanks again mate!!
  19. Just tried it but it doesn't seem to work for me. I clicked on the "or" button in my trigger, added the same info in for each of the other client planes and then flew one of them. Neither triggers fired off that I had set up. :( Not sure what I'm doing wrong as it seems pretty straight forward.
  20. Thanks for doing this! Quick question, is this relatively easy to adapt to the Nevada map? I'm a scripting idiot, meaning I can't do anything but plug them in and use them with only minor edits to get them to work if necessary. Can a dunce like myself be able to use/alter to use this on the Nevada map? Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing! Nice check list you've created.
  22. Thanks for the reply. Well, being the total dunce that I am, scripting is out of the question for me, it's enough that I can even use what others have made! ;) Ah, I forgot that there is an "or" aspect to the trigger system... I think I understand what you're trying to convey to me (it's not you, it's me that lacks in the knowledge...) and will try giving it a shot tonight after work. Thanks again!
  23. As the title suggests, I'm wondering if there is a way to have a trigger fire off only for humans flying planes, regardless of their name or ID. Is there such a thing? I'm trying to have certain planes/vehicles activate if humans enter an area, not AI planes. I basically suck at the ME so I may have missed something obvious. Any ideas or suggestions or links to where I can read up on it? Thanks in advance!
  24. Just right click on the .lua file and choose save link as (or your browser equivalent) and you're good to go.
  25. I love you man! :notworthy::beer:
