  1. Try firing yourself at 60-70nm and see if results change.
  2. Assisting loft at closer ranges usually has this effect from my limited testing. More is likely needed, but assisting loft at sub 40nm tends to increase the chance of this "bug". However if shooting at long range 60-80nm assisting with ca 30 degree pitch up can increase terminal energy.
  3. Quick question on this. "One remaining small limitation is that in STT, the missile will erroneously go active on your target (it should remain semi-active all the way to target). This is unfortunately a limitation of the API at this time. We endeavour to model this behaviour properly in the future. Yet further down it says AIM-54C should go active by default (even when losing lock from STT). Does that mean when launched in PDSTT it should only go active if track is lost but does either way at the moment?
  4. Acc. to a previous post by Mike they had some trouble with the upload of liveries and they will come with next patch instead probably.
  5. Check this thread, specifically 3rd page. Some tacview videos showing old vs new.
  6. Excellent, can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the replies.
  7. Does the new navigation for the Phoenix apply to all modes? Fox 1 & Fox 3?
  8. Patch delayed until tomorrow. "Open beta patch now moved to the 21st, thank you for your patience."
  9. What changes are in the works for the motors? And is there any update about the C model / INS?
  10. 5600X3D as well in that rumour. I would like to believe it but seems unlikely with Zen4 around the corner and from a technical perspective.
  11. New rocket motor effects look better, the 54 as well IMO.
  12. Introduce some patches ago, so get back there and fix it
  13. Seems to be yes, and it's a lot more smoother. Terminal energy seems to be somewhat improved.
  14. Thanks, was under the impression TWS had slightly lower range.
  15. As other users has mentioned probably because alot more info has to be processes to build a track file. (limited cells) By this logic TWS should have same range as RWS but the latter has an advantage.
  16. This is where a fast PSTT lock via PAL or quick RIO fares better than just ACM up. It roughly tells the Phoenix where to look at and will head that way.
  17. Your question has already been answered in the thread.
  18. Probably low down in the thick and reasonably close range when the 54 has trouble accelerating quickly.
  19. Yes PDSTT, but if you have the PDSTT > PSTT enable in special options he switches under a certain distance which I don't remember on top of my head.
  20. Can't wait to try this, did 140nm splash before this patch
  21. I mean up until the 90 degree turn the intercept looks weird as well.
  22. @Whiskey11 This seems really weird, saw similar behaviour on the Discord, post by @Noctrach about the random 90 degree ice-cream turn. Looking closely the 54 does a similar thing there, instead of a clean intercept it looks like a detour / longer pursuit for some reason. Leading to excessive energy bleed since it needs to compensate for the less than optimal route to target.
  23. Looks pretty clean. 4x AA or some other magic?
  24. Try lock specific target, it's the most reliable when working with Jester.
