    DCS: F-5E!

MiG-21 could certainly be fitted with twin rails. Polish MiG-21s were fitted with them, but as far as I know, only the inner pylons could mount them
  4. That's not completely true, if I put ARU to manual and maximum, and pull a level turn on slow speed, I can barely get over 20 AoA, whilst If put it to minimum, I pull easilly over 30 AoA.

I think the biggest advantage of the F-5E vs the MiG-21 will be situational awareness. Much better view from the cockpit + better radar + better RWR.

Grom can definately take out a tank, especially if its stationary or moving parrallel to you.

    Whats Next?

Not really, MiG-21bis is completely different beast to MiG-21PF/PFM used in Vietnam. Vietnamese used PF/PFM. Only 1 hardpoint on the wing instead of 2. Only R-3S (technically could have R-3R aswell but NVAF never supplied with it to my knowledge) and PF had no gun at all, PFM could mount a 23mm gunpod on the fuselage hardpoint, along with much weaker engine. MiG-21bis however is appropriate to use as Egyptian or Syrian MiG-21MF during Yom Kippur War. Only use R-3S as A-A weapon, anything except Grom or Nukes as A-G weapons and never touch emergency afterburner. And MiG-21bis itself was used in Iran-Iraq War alongside MiG-21MF, interestingly, Iraqis managed to rig R550 Magic missiles to their MiG-21 and increased its power over the frankly disappointing Atoll missiles. Both of situations were against F-4 Phantoms (among other types)

    DCS: F-5E!

Yeah, that's whats putting me off the F-5 at the moment. No mention of any A-G guided weapons. The MiG-21 (which BST has said is its competitor) at least has the Grom. Also, anyone know if we are getting any chaff/flare. I dunno if US F-5 were fitted with such but foreign F-5 were, the type that I find are chaff/flare pod just infront of the tail on the sides or near the landing gear. Then again I also found this [ame]https://www.flightglobal.com/FlightPDFArchive/1982/1982%20-%202151.PDF[/ame]

    M2000 vs Mig-21

Well, then just add fuel, pilot, weapons and ammunition. Gross weight depends entirely on loadout.
  10. MiG-21F-13 was rare in Vietnam. Most units operated MiG-21PF/PFM. In Arab vs Isreali conflicts, again, most common types were PF and MF (Yom Kippur)

    M2000 vs Mig-21

Empty weight difference is 400kg, difference between standard afterburners is 1345kg thrust, difference between emergency afterburner and standard afterburner is 4150kg thrust.

    M2000 vs Mig-21

Fishbed C is the F-13 then, MF is Fishbed J, bis is Fishbed L/N

    M2000 vs Mig-21

Which Mig-21 is this though? Ingame MiG-21 has emergency afterburner that can produce 100kN thrust. Considering this is US test data this is probably either Mig-21F-13 or MF which produce 56kN and 64kN of afterburner thrust respectively.

    Anime Thread

Complaining about objectification in a cartoon (which it is) is nonsensical. It doesn't have to look realistic and can be stylized in any way possible. Males are objectified also. An 18 year old male does not look like this in real life:
  15. What the article convieniently doesn't state is the chance of neck injury to push its biased view. Its a 1 in 50,000 chance of any type of neck injury if a pilot is under 136lb, and that risk reduces to 1 in 200,000 between 136lb and 165lb. http://www.stripes.com/news/us/f-35-director-heavy-helmet-causing-ejection-dangers-1.374381
  16. 120C is quite a bit more resistant to chaff.
  17. How about a ASM-N-2 Bat Anti ship radar-guided gliding bomb?
  18. IIRC what i wrote was " dcs_updater.exe update @release:1.5.2.48727 "
  19. You can switch beta client to release client http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
  20. It goes from 2965kmh to 1797kmh in 3 seconds (48s to 51s). That's 42G deceleration lol
  21. Nice
  22. That's false. 6,000 Belgian Soldiers died and 15,000 were wounded during its 18 day defense, saying they did not fight is frankly disrespectful.
  23. You brought Switzerland as why neutrality is a safe option, someone else brought Belgium as why declaring yourself neutral doesn't always work. Switzerland a special country in that regard as its position offers very few rewards for an invader whilst with Belgium, it offers a flanking position on France.
  24. Switzerland's Citizenry is armed to the teeth and since it's so mountainous, it's a very difficult country to invade and there is no incentive to invade it.
  25. Pulling 9G with internal fuel load is nothing special. Pretty sure the first 9G airframe that could pull 9G with heavy payload was the Strike Eagle.
