bengal stripes One of my favorites. Even if the pic is of a D model.

Spans the World, Across the Decades
Gunrun_KS replied to MegOhm_SD's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
2017 will be a big year with all the upcoming expansions to the WWII scene. New map, vehicles and AI B-17's plus my favorite, the P-47. All of these will be a good base and should keep us happy until whatever is planned after that. The wait will be worth it! -
Can I Play MP3 Music on KA50-2 Stations?
Gunrun_KS replied to SKYFOXX's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I'm curious myself. I'm always trying to switch back and forth to pandora while training. *edit* Now that I think of it, there is an A-10C radio chatter mod that replaces the static noise. Maybe it would be something similar? Turning a playlist into an ogg file? -
You won't be dissapointed with the F-5 that's for sure. Pretty easy to learn and all of the training missions to keep you occupied for awhile.

I'm in love. My new ride to ground pound in!

I'm curious myself...just started flying the fw-190 and have meant to look around for the answers but never really felt the need. Seems to run like a dream and only thing I have managed is the throttle!

T50A and new 5th gen trainers to replace T-38
Gunrun_KS replied to Gunrun_KS's topic in Military and Aviation
You know, I thought it was funny that they designated it as the T-50 as well. -
I had the same problem with the M-2000C. Glad you figured it out.

http://www.lockheedmartin.com/us/products/t50A.html Was wondering if anyone was following this and what their thoughts were. Pretty cool news. From what I am tracking Boeing and Raytheon are also joining the competition.

My vote would be for the F-16. Not just because it's my favorite aircraft but what it would do for the community as a whole. A lot of online squads are looking for something more updated to replace other outdated F-16 sims. I would guess that it would increase our numbers on mp servers, so on and so forth. Either way though, an F-16 or F-18 will get me out of the SU-27, which I only fly because of it's A2A and A2G capabilities.

Rare perspective on the 109 vs spit and mustang. Very interesting.

Hey guys, thought I would share this amazing art with you that I was fortunate enough to run into. He does aviation art, pin up and a comic book type series. The series is in French though. Amazing still. *Warning* some of his pin up art can be pretty "Spicy" :D http://romain-hugault.blogspot.com/ https://m.facebook.com/romainhugault

Which aircraft are you most interested in?
Gunrun_KS replied to Griffin's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
1. B-17 but not for my own personal use. More for escort and another mission set for all US/Germany. So even AI would be nice. 2. P-47 Personal favorite for A2A and A2G. 3. FW-190A5/8. Was never a fan of the 109 and it's cockpit. A challenge to fly much like the P-47 when compared to it's counterparts plus the firepower and visibility. 4. Typhoon or tempest. Something to wreck shop with down low. -
Id love to as soon as i get back in country. when you're flying that close is it just eyeball adjustments or do you kind of coordinate rpm/mp?
-
Sloppy.....I'd love to fly that well formation flying. For me it seems to be one of the harder things to do while flying.

Nickname change please from current to Reaper_KS, thanks in advance!

Diveplane's P-51 Sound Mods
Gunrun_KS replied to HeadHunter52's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I personally enjoy Diveplanes mod, it's much better than the one that's on the user files. I installed that one and immediately uninstalled it. Only other one I would use if I could would be this one: but i found that the gun sounds are way too quiet. -
Anyone have a rough estimate of fuel percentage and corresponding flight time? I know it won't be exact but a general idea would be great.
-
Agreed. One thing I would add is after bout 170km/h release the stick to center. DCS has a really good taxi and takeoff tutorial. Helped me learn in a couple tries.
