Just because you can do things it doesn't mean that the module is realistic. If systems aren't realistically implemented and they promise that they will do then the module is unfinished and it's a pity to see them working on some other module instead. To add to your list the armament deployment system is incorrectly implemented. The CCM is in buggy since it was implemented more than a year ago, the radar unlock resets the antenna elevation... I can understand that you have a certain sympathy to Razbam because they did your favorite childhood plane, but for many other paying customers, the quality of the module as it is now isn't satisfactory and some, like me, feel they were let down. Forget about the AG radar. What about the other missing systems that have nothing to do with ED ? That's the Mirage status and it's spot on topic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The systems are complete. The problem is not that some things break because of ED's update. The problem with the Mirage is that it is left unfinished. The CCM and the radar were behaving wrongly for more than a year. The armament system was fantasy implementation and was not correct. But it was fine cause the Mirage was being development and it's normal to have priorities in implementing and correcting things. Unfortunately, the Mirage is out of beta with this state and the work moved to the Harrier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2021 (and earlier) DCS Newsletter Discussion Thread
TomCatMucDe replied to NineLine's topic in DCS 2.9
That's a little bit exaggerated. The SU33 avionics are not heavily computerized like more modern airplanes. Therefore, the systems are activated by relatively simply switches: on/off and some times 3 positions. Look at the Mirage, with some educated guess it was cracked and systems were quite correctly simulated. The flight behavior is the most critical thing and it is simulated. The navigation system, can't be that highly classified, the way armament works is not either, first because it's already known, and second because it's rather simple. Again look at the Mirage example. On more modern SU35 where buttons of MFDs can be programmed to do anything, it's not possible to guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

This makes the Su33 the most simulated plane in FC3. The step to a full fidelity sim doesn't seem so big anymore. The systems are certainly less complex than the Hornet. I wonder why they just don't do it. If they are allowed to do a PFM, I can't believe that the rest is classified. I person would put pay full module price for it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
The Viggen is still in beta! The Mirage is not! Fly both and you will see the Viggen Beta is a better quality than the released Mirage. Besides the Mirage has been around longer than the Viggen What's left unfinished by Razbam has nothing to do with ED. with the exception of ground avoidance but this was not planned to be implemented in the beginning and probably will never be which is fine. But the radar, the CCM, the armament system, the INS, have nothing to do with ED. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's ok. I accept that we have different expectations from DCS and devs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It's absolutely your right to be happy with the status your Mirage now. But you can't call an unfinished product a finished one. For some people 60$ are a it of money and they want to put them on finished products only. By the way, there are key features missing like the armament systems, the radar that loses its altitude when you unlock, the CCM that can't unlock a target even if he is behind you ... you can call these glitches but for many others they are more than that. PS: I had the Mirage from the first hour. Heck I even pre ordered it in the first day. I never complained that it was incomplete when they were working on it. But now yes I am disappointed that I they left it unfinished and moved to the Harrier. It sounds to me like a commitment breaking. Lessons learned: no more early access purchases from Razbam for me. Mirage Status Sir, some people are on DCS to enjoy a realistic simulation, as close as possible to the real thing. The way armament works is totally not real. The CCM bug is very annoying in real combat, the radar resetting in a weird way. If you insist in calling it finished, I can't argue in that more than this. For me finished means, well, finished ...
-
I dont know how deeply you are following the Mirage but it is clearly unfinished. Razbam themselves don't claim that it is finished. MyHellJumper listed some of the unfinished thing. For me 2 unfinished things that are key to claim the finished brand: - Implement the correct PCA/HOTAS system. What we have now is more like a place holder - Correct the Radar behavior in normal mode and especially in CCM I dont want to mention the modules of other devs here, but yes there are finished modules in DCS.

First, he didn't dismiss Razbam work, he didn't say the module is bad, he actually doesn't own it. He said that for now, the product is unfinished and he won't buy it for NOW. It's his right and it's a good decision since he doesn't have an infinite budget and prefers to put it on a HOTAS or a finished product. Second, what's missing in the Mirage has nothing to do with engine update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Th focus has shifted to the Harrier. Just look at Zeus work. Before attacking other fellow forumers please inform yourself about the projects at least. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where did he shot on the Mirage? He doesn't own it and he asked for advice. That's a weird comment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This bug is the most critical one in combat. To me it's more critical than the HUD which not 100% realistic but alright, the altitude warning is also annoying but it's not so bad either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some important bugs are missing from your list: - bugged Close Combat Mode that can cost you many fights: you can't unlock a contact (friendly for example) and relock another one (the enemy) - radar that resets the elevation if you simply unlock ( not a big problem but can cost you precious seconds and confuse you) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

it is sad to see you frustrated when you see anybody emitting a light of criticism or an opinion that doesnt praise the devs. I am afraid that the M2000 has been released on 20-04-2017 and is OUT of beta. Therefore all your arguments fall in the water and in fact it is easily to return them back to you: Since we paid full price for a beta and accepted that is uncomplete and patiently waited and supported the devs while they incrementally improved the product. Do we have the right to be disappointed to see them release it unfinished and put all their efforts on the next product? Yes or no would be enough.

You can't tell people don't buy from a business. You have no right to do this, you are not the business owner yourself. If you are standing in a shop and a customer complains to the shop owner, the shop owner won't be happy to hear you tell the customer don't buy from this shop ever again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wanted to say the focus was only on Harrier and NOT Mirage. The "not" was missing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mirage Status the E3 is over now and work seems to be still focused on the Harrier and not the Mirage ASM. But I will complain after 3 weeks as Zeus said.

One comment, the 27ER has longer range than 530D. You probably meant 27R Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
That's the thing, there is only a grip and no throttle. It's a shame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We are customer's of Razbam on the Mirage not ED. If somebody has a question he goes and ask his supplier, not the supplier of the supplier.

Russian ordinance? bombs and missiles? hmm :music_whistling:
