  1. Took me something like 20 hours of practising to be somewhat decent at it. Usually 1-2 hours and then a break or called it a day. I practised a formation flying a little bit before though.
  2. Hornet definitely takes quite long to stop. Comparing to Su-27 even without its landing parachutes it takes more of a runway lenght to stop.
  3. My 2 cents here. In mp, using LGBs I don´t have to hold it, but, when using Mav I have to hold it. So i bound the trigger also to my hotas throttle "APU start" switch and I don´t have to hold it even for Mav. I just switch the button and I am good to go.
  4. I tried it too yestarday without any success. If I understood correctly, Wags said in comments of his 2nd TGP video on youtube, that IR Mav can not be slaved to TGP. So probably not even a WIP.
  5. First of all thanks for making it untill the end of the month as I hoped. Does anyone know how to slave non laser maverick to tgp?
  6. Good job with the tests. Interesting results. Thanks.

I am sure they will make it until the end of this month *fingers crossed*
  8. I think that requesting a reasonable amount of money for the updated version for the owners of the original module is both fair and rational. It would be questionable if money were requested for the graphic overhaul only which is not the case and so ED have my support for this decision. I know it is not the same case, and maybe not the best example, but I see it kind of in the similar way as if I owned the original Doom game from 1994 and someone would make the remake of it level by level, episode by episode in the new Doom 2016 engine and adding something like flamethrower (that was promised for Doom 2 but did not make it to the release), I would also pay this person or company some reasonable price for it. No problem. We are not getting new DCS game every 5 years (and it would not be sustainable to pay for all the modules full price every 5 years for most of us I believe), ED is working on old modules also, while keeping the game graphicaly beautiful and I think what they are doing now with BS3 is smart, fair, good business and I fully support it. If the money is right, and I believe it will be, you have it from me on day 1 presale. Thanks, ED.
  9. Roughly 70mp/30sp for me. I like playing with others a lot, but I also enjoy playing sp campaigns and sp missions from time to time. Also when it comes to practising something like air-to-air refueling or carrier landing I prefer practising it in single player so that I can focus on the task entirely without any distractions.
  10. No offense taken :)
  11. Did you even read my whole post? Or are you just trying to pick some of my thoughts out of context? Either way, I absolutely love Tomcat ;) And, please, don´t tell me what I will enjoy or not. You don´t know me and you have no idea. Cheers.
  12. Oh my, that sure is a tough one. I fly them both from the day one. Hornet is just an amazing plane in all its abilities and capabilities. It can do everything and it does it pretty well. For me the way it handles all the situations feels almost like a cheating. But the Tomcat... First I must say I am not a big Topgun movie fan, I don´t think the plane looks as beautiful as other people think. It does not have the detailed HUD like the Hornet, in the cockpit there are gauges everywhere instead of beautiful MFDs and dogfighting in this one is a hard, hard work (or maybe I am just still too lame). I should also say that I fly it only solo. But boy, when those two strong engines kick in, you can really feel the power. Flying this plane is so enjoyable and such an experience that I can´t think I can even describe it. It can do a lot of things, bombing, fighting, it is a capable aircraft and I really like it a lot. So, which one should you get? Both. But if you can choose only one? Then it depends on what you want. If you want the pure capability both air to air and air to ground with little compromises, pick the Hornet. If you want to feel the pure joy of flying an aircraft, taming it, learing it while also doing a lot of stuff like air to air combat and ground pounding, then pick the Tomcat.
  13. Confirming the campaign doesn´t crash after first two heli missions. I started this campaign yesterday evening finishing first mission and finished second mission an hour ago. No problem so far.
  14. Great job with this one. Loved it from the beginning to the end. You should be making campaigns for money, mate. Seriously
  15. Great video. After a lot of practise I was able to take a full tank. Like guys here wrote - a bomb mode makes it a lot easier. Especially after the connection to maintain it. I practised auto mode for many hours and many times, but bomb mode is like night and day compared to auto. It is like taking fuel with F/A-18 (which took a lot of practise too, but the practise paid for itself). I am using TM Warthog with WarBRD base. Dead zone 2, curvature 10, no joystick extension installed.
  16. :megalol:
  17. For someone flying Hornet most of the time this is a good thing to have I believe. But for me as someone who is flying most modern DCS modules - this is not interesting at all. Especially with that price tag. I am the proud owner of TM Warthog hotas which is just perfect ergonomic solution with more than enough switches, hats and buttons. And yes, I bought that Virpil WarBRD base recently. And that was hell of an addition for my hotas. So for me not being a Hornet only purist this adds very little. But it got me thinking that timing of this product might be little bit off considering the recent Viper announcement. I understand they needed to finish this, but anyways... I am also a little bit dissapointed (just a little bit, thankfuly the WarBRD exists) they did not come with the new base solution with the new stick. But, hey, for anyone going to buy this - enjoy and have fun with it, guys! :-)
  18. I am not sure if this was requested here before, but some part of Southern American continent would be just amazing. Mountains, jungle...it would be just beautiful. That would be the instabuy for me  With that said I can imagine a heckload of work that would be needed to put into this since this would put a huge amount of work just to create a decently looking jungle vegetation on developers. Yeah but if cold war fans would like to have Vietnam map I think it is safe to write this falls into a similar category :-)
  19. Ah it really IS a typo. Good :-) Preordered. Thank you ED. Looking forward to this beautiful product.
  20. Hallo! :-) I would like to notify, that there is a mistake on preorder price. It should be 63,99 not 64,99 since it was stated in numerous places that preorder discount is 20% (ie trailer, etc.). Present price is 19% discount. Before anyone jumps on me for that 1% I would like to say that 20% is 20% and 19% is 19%. Would be happy to preorder the product after someone explains to me if there is a mistake in price, in percentage or if someone responsible corrects either of these. Thank you :-)
  21. It´s normal, people are just hyped. I am also maintaining my relationship with my mouse by clicking the refreshing button on modules page from time to time today. It´s a healthy thing I believe.
  22. Yep I would also like to know...
  23. I don´t think we are on the subject of cheating here. I believe we are on a subject "I want to do cold start in F14 but I don´t want to spend ages staring doing nothing" here.
