Re-read post 7. It claims between a (=one) dozen and two dozen launches, so 12-24.

I just collect and keep my bonus points for the eventuality that there's a module release I'm not interested enough to buy during pre-sale. Don't know about you guys, but I guess I won't be getting the Christen Eagle right away. But if I can have it for 10$ during a 70% bonus event, the collector in me will probably win. :D Again, win - win. I get a new shiney thing in my hangar and the dev get a little bit of money, which is better than no money. Waiting and keeping bonus points for the future costs me nothing. I get them for free and they stay on my account as long as I buy something once a year so they don't expire. And let's be honest, that's not all that hard in DCS.

Horizon secours is an emergency nav mode in case the INS fails. You probably had a switch in the wrong position. See sceenshot, make sure it's in the middle position.
-
So in your case why not buy a new module full price on the first day of release? Take the Hornet for example: 80$ - 30% Bonus discount is 56$, so you'd save 4 bucks vs. the pre-purchase price. And you can play it the same time as everbody else. Win - win!

This video is 2+ years old, made directly after EA release. That behaviour has been fixed for a looong time. You can‘t turn off the FBW in the Mirage. You can only enter a couple of emergency modes.
-
Also, it's still mentioned in the feature list of the module since EA release: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/m2000c/

Thx

So, out of curiousity: can there be more than one module in pre-purchase at the same time (would be a first afaik) or does this basically mean that there won't be a 3rd party EA release until summer-ish 2018?

That's because you stopped pulling so many Gs and the bandit is basically stationary in relation to you because of his braking maneuver. Try this: (you can set up a simple scenario in SP, no need for MP because it works exactly the same) When you think you are in a good position, pull and lead your opponent with the snake and then ease up on the stick (less G!) to let the pipper catch up. Fire when it is over the target. Works for me every time.
-
Hm, am I missing something? The gun pipper is clearly visible in your video. For example at 2:33, 3:05 and you missed the perfect shot at 3:18. ;) Of course a lot of the time when you and your enemy are pulling hard the pipper will disappear below the HUD. Remember that these 30mm guns have lower muzzle velocity than for example the American 20mms. So you need to lead the opponent way more than you do in the video before firing (all your bullets fall short behind the bandit).

I asked about the little arrow before and IIRC i got the answer that it was a leftover development tool that shouldn’t be there. Can’t find that post right now though.

Naaaja... Mal sehen.

If there was a typo then it was in the newsletter. E-shop is correct. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3284343&postcount=3

Well it's not really a debate here, is it? I don't see anybody trying to convince the 'other side'. Many people state that they bought the Harrier because reasons, some say they won't buy it because reasons. What people and devs do with that information if anything is up to them really. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

Yeah this probably did it for me too. I was on the fence about buying into EA, but there are just too many things adding up: - A lot of features missing again at release (don't want to re-learn the aircraft over and over again) - lack of a campaign (which is fine, but because of this the module should become less expensive, not more) - now this hefty price tag which seems to try to push me into buying into Early Access - and last but not least the treatment of the M2000 module. I'm gonna wait for a future sale, there's so much other stuff to do in DCS right now, not even talking about other modules in the pipeline.

Also make sure your External Stores Selector is set to Safe.

-
The last we heard was 'planned EA release during the last days of november'.
-
No 1.5 update today.
-
1.5 wasn't updated today. I'm sure the fixes will get there once that happens.
-
Awesome, thanks for the info!

So you're saying you are sure the real aicraft can't do it and this isn't just a DCS thing where the values entered in the Mission Editor don't get transferred into the cockpit (either by design or oversight)? I guess altitude values would be transferred to the INS via data cartridge IRL.
-
Hmm, is this something that's going to be changed in the future according to real aircraft capabilities? Because in the current version if I edit the WP altitude in the INS the cross will be displayed at the correct altitude.
