  1. Can you guys already estimate in which condition this will hit early access? Will it be similar to the Mirage (basics working, but a lot of stuff still to be done) or are you aiming for a more complete release this time? Either way is fine by me, I'd just like to know what to expect. :)
  2. If you are trying from the main menu, try from within the mission instead (ESC - Adjust Controls) - or vice versa. Might help.
  3. Yep seen some of that too: Viggen (cold start) often has power on after restarting although all swiches are turned off. On the Mirage it's often related to INS stuff: waypoints dipsplayed on the VTB remain visible after restart, also manually entered waypoints stay in the system.
  4. It really depends a lot on what you are actually looking for: If you want a fast mover, the A-10 is not for you. If you want A/G, the Mirage comes last. For A/A on the other hand it's the obvious choice. Systems wise the A-10 is rather complex, but it's all very logical. So it's not that it's very complicated stuff, it's just a lot of it. ;) So it's rather a quantity than a quality issue, if you will. Just make sure you have a HOTAS with tons of buttons. ^^ Viggen and Mirage systems complexity is pretty similar IMO, although they feel completely different. Mirage is more digital while Viggen is analog. When it comes to simply flying Mirage is easiest thanks to FBW, A-10 is also a piece of cake and Viggen takes a bit more practice. But since you already have experience in FC3 that shouldn't be a big concern. Hope this helps and welcome to the forum!
  5. I'm pretty sure you can't as a consumer. Otherwise it would be a pretty lame copy protection. ;) aaaaaaaand sniped! ;)
  6. In case you didn't see it in your other thread:
  7. You can read up on TACAN navigation in this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=175448 Have fun!
  8. Won't help. Look at Mirage: the limitation warning is in the manual since beta release and 15 months later people are still creating bug reports about it. ^^
  10. Well they told you to get 8 gigs of RAM, not 32. Just sayin'.

    Help Needed

Nah they simulated the harness your pilot is strapped into.
  12. Low priority stuff: I taxied out without disconnecting ground power (mad crew chief and everything!). Finished the mission, started a new one => Ground power was already connected when I entered the cockpit. Pretty handy, but probably not supposed to happen. :D
  13. Well we should have a margin of at least 15° off so we'd end up in the dirt long before the NAV SYST failure appears. ;)
  14. Awesome, thanks a lot!
  15. Afaik it's a DCS wide problem, other modules are affected as well.
  16. Right. That got me confused at first too, it's a little bit unintuitive. It is. ;)
  17. Nope, that's not an actual position of the dial, it's just the descripton of what the following line refers to. So inner line => bombs, outer line => RB05. What you need is the position (mark) in my picture. ;)
  18. You are talking about this position, right?

  20. Don't watch that!!! Damn song is so catchy, couldn't get it out of my head for the last couple of hours... :poster_ban:;)
  21. You are using the latest Open Beta, right?
  22. Let's say your starting airfield is at 120 meters ASL. So your starting position is 100m above the tank. Now before takeoff set your altimeter so that it displays 100 and dadaa! Target QFE aquired! :) Obviously doesn't work with air start... Or you could just add a waypoint at the target location (in the Mission Editor) and its QFE will be generated automatically in the kneeboard. ;)
  23. Well Viggen is out for one day, so expect people getting a lot more efficient with it with practice and after a few bugs and missing features are resolved. Remember when M2000 came out and people were slaughtered by Mig-21s left and right. That situation changed rather quickly after a few days of practice... :)
