I don't mind the roll behaviour at the moment (although it does seem to lack inertia), but would like the pitch "nodding" looked at.

Fantastically challenging mission. More fun than I've had in a long while! Thanks again Greg -

The guns worked fine for me using the normal pilots sight (master arm on - red light on central console bottom right). -

Just flown mission 4. Wow!!!!! Just about completed it, with a very shot up huey. Hope the condition doesn't carry over to the next mission. I have no instruments left working [emoji12] -

It's kind of fun, trying to ignore 30 years of flying instinct. Bit like one of those cars at the fun park, where turning the steering wheel left makes the car go right [emoji3] -

I noticed the change log in Friday said "fixed CDI". Seems that this fix has broken the homing CDI [emoji12] -

Just finished the first mission. Great fun, thanks so much! Has anyone noticed that when using the FM homing, the CDI is now reversed. Seems to have happened since the last update -
I seem to be getting lots of nodding motions in pitch (especially when landing). The pitch axis seems to have some instability

Unfortunately labels are quite important when flying VR (due to resolution) although I haven't flown the campaign yet (I have bought it though [emoji12]) -

Have they fixed the issue yet where you unhook your cargo, but the helicopter still acts like its attached? (Not campaign specific, but if this campaign uses slingloading, it would be nice if it worked) -
give some love to the Kurfürst model
LCYCowboy replied to razo+r's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
I am happy with the 109, it flies perfectly in VR. Any increase in detail will only slow things down (like the fabulous Mig-21 - looks fantastic, flies fantastic, but very low fps). Please don't ramp up the detail and slow down the sim ;) -
I have to agree in a way. The previous FM seemed to have some weight to it (it felt like flying a real plane, with inertia). The new FM seems more arcadey. I can't describe it accurately, but it seems less weighty and more arcadey
-
Depends on how much cloud cover you fly with. The clouds seem to affect 2.0 more at the moment
-
I think the Mig-21 has the nicest cockpit, and is by far the most fun to fly and fight in.

You generally lose the sickness as you lose the immersion. When I first started playing, I would feel the wind as I opened the door after a flight (all psychological) and would be scared witless if I knew I was about to crash. Now, all the sickness has gone, but so has the immersion factor. My brain has worked out that it is not real. Don't get me wrong, it is still fantastic (especially when compared to 2D), but not as mind blowing as it was at the beginning
-
I have all the modules, but only fly the Huey and Fishbed. In VR the mig is outstanding. It also feels like a real plane (it has inertia). I would rate it as the best module available!!!
-
There is no brand bashing involved on my side. I have had several Saitek products (still use the yoke - but only because there is no alternative), they have all had problems. They use really cheap potentiometers, have terrible quality control (who would sell throttle units where, when you line up the throttles they give vastly different outputs, with no way to calibrate). My Komodo gear, und all the Thrustmaster gear I have ever had, have been leagues better in both quality and in using hall sensors (even their cheap stuff)
-
Fantastic missions!!! Thank you so much, i've just been trying all the different options! To load the FOB Crate, just spawn them, and then select the load option (I don't think they show as slingload cargo). Or I think you can hover above them for 10 seconds, and that loads them.
-
Joystick life I have been through too many rubbish Saitek products (from the pedals, to the flight sim yoke - had 3 of those, to the throttle quadrant - had 4 of those). They all suffered with dodgy pots. In fact, none of the throttles ever lined up, even when new. I made a decision never to touch them again. Bought a cheap (but incredibly accurate) thrustmaster t1600 (which even at that price has hall sensors) and saved my money. I now have a warthog (with MFG extension) and Kommodo Helicopter controls, and have some MFG pedals on order. Buy cheap, buy twice (or in Saiteks case three times, four times .........)

The mig-21 cockpit has one of the most fantastic, ambient night lighting in DCS (at least in VR). If the original Mig is lit in Red, why would you want white?
-
Great news!!! Thanks

Also, there are a couple of missions where there is not enough fuel to complete them (I have tried a couple of times), and there is no way of refuelling at the FARP before takeoff (unless it is user incompetence, which wouldn't surprise me). Please do not see any of this as any criticism of your excellent work!

I found 364 (-10), 366 (-12), 367 (-12) and 397 (-12). I was unable to get the N1 past 9 or 10% on all of these. I think it is not unknown to have start problems with very cold batteries, and the need to use Ground Power in such situation. Maybe this is realistically modelled (or just a bug). Either way, there is a lack of Ground Power, so these missions are non starters (pardon my pun :))
-
It was a couple of really cold ones. I'll try and find the numbers and get back to you
-
How do you start in the cold? Whenever the temp is below 0, the battery does not have enough capacity to start. When I ask Ground Crew to connect the Ground Power, they respond with "unable". I remember reading that you need a certain type of vehicle at the Farp. Currently, I am unable to fly any of the cold missions
