What is the satus on fixing some of the main issues?
Gnadentod replied to bkthunder's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Glad I can help. It really seems some people don't understand the concept or act as if ED coerced them to buy the products with a gatling gun in their hands standing behind them ... -

Just a reminder that whoever has the F16 as of now, has sometime along the line bought an Early Access module. Without being coerced into it. -
Use his tool to install a separate Dedicated Server install, you can run this on Open Beta or stable. Then you have a client installation on your system which you fly on (original), and another one which is only there for the server. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/server_beta/ Use the update utility to "patch it down" to stable if you must.

Give your "Expand FOV" button a try while using the target designator cursor. -
Yes, may Wodan and his light be with you all...

... which was in development and released literally years before DCS F16 work even began and only focused on mainly one plane ever.

But not disappearing and reappearing vehicles/ships/planes, it happens especially often when zooming with them in view. -
Need a bit of advice RE 2.5.6 Performance
Gnadentod replied to Digitalvole's topic in Virtual Reality
If you still have some 90 GB disk space, better more, then have both versions installed. Use this for managing, updating/downgrading installs simultaneously. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 -

Can confirm. I'm not on Open Beta still. -
Knew I wasn't the only one, it's a VA issue and not me.

Ryzen or Intel mid-range CPU
Gnadentod replied to Westwood's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
People strawmanning, still living in 2017, projecting their own psyche onto others when having no brain, using outdated graphs/graphs which only show one single application (which is what I said that it depends on the app you're using), misinterpreting willingly or unwillingly (I don't care which) posts so it fits their "argumentation": Check. Didn't read further than the first sentences to see what's up, you're not gonna steal my time. Do I now post my screenshots of how I benched my 3800X when I build this rig and it was higher score than 9900K namely in CPU-Z in single threading? ??? No, because I don't care about converting you. I can live with the fact that you will never be able to get it. Byeo. -
Ryzen or Intel mid-range CPU
Gnadentod replied to Westwood's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well done misinterpreting my posts. I'm specifically talking about the Intel CPU versus AMD CPU on single core performance debate on my last post, not even about graphics card. Here he comes talking about the 5700 XT. And how do people come to the conclusion that NVidia cards run better than AMD cards when it comes to DCS like Cu-27 did? Especially when they have never owned a AMD card that is? I'm very interested in responses ... I know the answer already. Just keep spitting bullshit of others you have read on the internet, in most cases problems created in the first place because they might be too stupid to keep their system and driver state clean... Also nice try painting me as if I have said that AMD cards have "zero problems" compared to NVidia or whatever in general. What do I care what people have "problems" with Fortnite or Overwatch or whatever when I'm here talking about DCS? You can go right back with that link and your strawmanning, not gonna work. -
Does anyone know if this is still working and worth implementing? Is there something I need to know to make it work?

Ryzen or Intel mid-range CPU

This is living in 2017. No - even when looking at single core performance they are on par. It only and only depends on the application you're using. So your statement is wrong or inaccurate. Very right, that's a point for me then. -
Got a replacement Reverb and noticed SDE is worse
Gnadentod replied to BMGZ06's topic in Virtual Reality
Pretty sure both the dealers and HP themselves often times just return units to users which were returned by someone else before. So they are not taking them out of "Reverb traffic" on the market. As long as they can save money they atleast try to give these not so perfect units to someone in hopes he doesn't care, or like you said, has no reference and then doesn't know it. I also got a Reverb Pro but without all of the backpack stuff although it was sold as having these. I don't really care about it but this is the same story. They just hoped someone will take it and be quiet. The $ $ signs shine bright from their eyes. -

How would you do that so the mission still runs fine on a multiplayer server for all to join? -
[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
Gnadentod replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
1) Start everything you need for your flying session, including SimShaker software 2) Start the Server and configure it how you want it to be (unpause, settings and so on) 3) Now go to C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta_server\Scripts and delete SimShaker.lua, its folder and Export.lua 4) Restart your server without these files 5) Now you start your client, SimShaker software reads your client input only even when joined on your own server -
Is there a way to find out if people could theoretically join my server when I'm not having someone else with DCS around to test it? Need to see if my ISP configuration of my connection is suited for hosting. Once the server is on the usual DCS World server list, that one which I'm seeing on the DCS homepage when logged into my profile, is this server then 100% accessible by everyone or could it still be the case the connection isn't suited for hosting servers due to my ISP? Do I only see it because it runs on this machine which I'm also logged in, or can everyone see it? Which is it?

The only steam related application I'm running is SteamVR for VR. DCS and VA are standalone.
-
Not necessarily VAICOM, but clearly VoiceAttack related. Anyone else having VA just end itself without warning inflight? The program just kills itself, there's not even a notification. You only realize it when you're about to give an command using your voice and you don't hear the radio transmission or "command accepted" sound. Very immersion breaking.
