  1. It has the best native performance out of all since it doesn't render a square picture but only that which you can really see in the lenses. It also uses native resolution, so there's no additional strain of the GPU for up- and downsampling.

It's not like that is a good selling point to increase potential customer base and thus increase income right? Good lord, why do I even try, sometimes I don't know ... It's a simulator. Aston Martin will not be Volkswagen just because you name it Volkswagen and also the other way around. Right or wrong? Very simple answer.
  3. No need, I just saw this^^ 5700 will run a CV1, it's just borderline for anything higher than the CV1 ... Pimax, Reverb or Index for example. With an 5700XT you can even run a HP Reverb in VR, which is what I have. It's like a 1080Ti, 2070 Super or 2080 Founders Edition (Nvidia card). Better take it slowly and get some more money and buy something better than rushing and regretting. Getting something good will last you.
  4. AMD just to not support Intel but support AMD instead. Ryzen 3xxx and Intel 9xxx are on the same performance level. 3800X here for VR with Reverb.

It's very, very simple: it's a simulator, not a game. It's main purpose is not entertaining people but SIMULATING something which is there in real life and a lot of people couldn't enjoy due to circumstances/can't enjoy anymore because retired or similar. When it does entertain you like a normal "game" it doesn't automatically make it a game, it's still a simulator. That you have to explain this to some is sad in itself. Even if it would be a "game", then implementing softcheats are still the most bulletproof way to destroy a product which has made its name by being NOT like the others, by not being like a "game".
  6. I think the software needs an option to select the DCS install in Users/X/Saved Games/ which is used for flying actively. My software didn't give out proper feedback when I had a DCS Dedicated Open Beta Server install running while I myself was trying to fly on this server with my normal DCS install. Once I turned off the dedicated server and hosted the mission solely in my "real" client it worked. It basically just gave out a massage to you as if you had every setting set to the same value, e.g. all 50 or so. So this is exactly like having no feedback but a massage pad which you sit on below you ... I'm almost entirely sure it has to do with the fact the software detects two running DCS instances and is confused. Needs to be forced to use only the instance which is used for flying or you can't use it as intended. I have not found this option to select and force it to use only a certain install, it detects both automatically.
  7. Any idea how to spawn bandits in a certain area or along predetermined waypoints? Right now when they are manually spawned by the F10 menu they just spawn in random locations, which breaks immersion if you have a certain mission design, where enemies only come from across some country border. Sometimes they even spawn above the home plate literally. How to avoid this?
  8. I'm using the 19.12.2 Adrenalin 2020 version from mid december. I have new info, you don't even need to unplug the headset. Plug it in, let WMR start. Then close WMR and start it a second time. Then the blue borders are gone for me, they are now black.
  9. I'm loading and starting the mission on a local server. I join a machine which I added and after a few seconds the mission just shuts down without any warning. I only changed the usual mission attributes like no auto spawning of A2G missions for example. Is there a way to see why a mission crashed? It just stops after 5 seconds even if I'm not in a plane, starting as single player.
  10. I just had to tick the "ob" option next to the custom path in vaicom config menu, repair alone didn't do it. Don't know if this was there before, since open beta worked before. Can't remember it being there before, it also wasn't activated.
  11. The on-screen comms menu still gets triggered every 4 seconds literally, on/off without doing anything. Once I turn off VA completely it disappears. Do I need to unload the plugin somehow, delete any temp data and if so, how?
  12. I've seen light rendering issue myself, namely the F16 taxi lights of other F16s coming from the front wheel are not shown correctly. There's a invisible part right next to the light source, after some distance the beam is displayed correctly. Multiplayer in VR, F16 with HP Reverb. Light Source(----)-------------< End of light beam The part in ( ) is missing.
  13. Your GPU upgrade would be bottlenecked quite hard if only doing that. You really should upgrade both, only then you'll get the maximum performance out of your new GPU.
  14. Yup, it gets triggered every few seconds. Also the on-screen text doesn't get hidden even if activated in VAICOM, you see all AWACS calls written down. Player voice also isn't disabled in my case.
  15. Yes turning brightness up works. Would be nice to have 2 to 4 upticks more to make it brighter though, still dark in some instances but good overall.
  16. It does work for changing brightness. When you could tick it up 3 or 4 more times it would be perfect. No mod needed to have good readability.
  17. Turn performance in CAT1 has been adjusted according to todays OB changelog.
  18. I too use deskmounts and have them next to my thigh, my right thigh touches the stick base even when looking just slightly and leaning towards my right wing. Widen the distance between your controls so you have a few more degrees to swivel. And maybe get fitter.
  19. Don't use a Reverb with anything lower than a strong 2070 Super or 5700XT.
  20. When using VR with a swivel chair it really is realistic, it compensates for the black edges in the current headsets perfectly. If you have a stick and throttle with deskmounts to your right and left leg you can turn only 15, at best 20 degrees anyway. It complements each other nicely and comes close to the real thing in terms of work you have to put in, except the G forces of course. For realism it's this.
  21. Most likely. If you've found some different versions when it comes to the dimensions then buy all of them, they are super cheap. So you can't do nothing wrong. But usually they are always the same size.
  23. New AMD cards work fine with DCS. Having 5700XT myself for VR.
  24. You need to re-center your VR view on the start of atleast your session. "5" on the Numpad might work, if it does not, go in the options controls menu and look for the centering bind under GUI Layer dropdown menu and attach it to a key. All modules which work in 2D should work in VR, it's not module specific. Don't having them though.
