Does it have audio cues? i.e When you hear the plop you know you have achieved release?

I would be interested to hear one way or the other. Speaking personally, I have no issues with having "quality" DLC. It's somthing I really wouldn't mind paying extra for.

What an excellent insightful post, just one question... Could you please point us to the posts that are child like? I've just gone back about 10 pages and can't seem to locate any?

I'm neither a teenager nor full of angst (well I wasn't last time I checked). Neither would I presume to speak on behalf of others or try and generalise other people’s thoughts and concerns... What I would say is that my personal disappointment at the current state of release (or lack there of) is more to do with Prowlers recent comments that I -no one else- but I interpreted as signalling an imminent release. It’s possible that others too may have read too much into his very cryptic comments which if you read back I think you would have to agree was signalling something that clearly has not come to pass. Also, it's possible that delays have come from ED and RAZBAM were unsighted on it and were "hyping" in good faith, who knows? Either way it’s not the end of the world, no one’s died, there are a lot bigger badder things in life to worry about, but if you find yourself this upset by people posting their thoughts maybe you should give this thread a bit of a rest for a bit?

So much for the hype. When I saw the harrier on the banner at the top of the weekly update I thought YES! I kept reading and thought *Sigh* Oh! Nothing like telling us what we already know!

Wow! I could go on, but really it would just be more hot air...I think Wow covers all my thoughts on those shots!

Hello mate, First off, having just re read the review, just wanted to thank you again for taking the time to do this. I found it immensely helpful! OK, on to the questions. :) 1: You say the fans are very noisy ( though must admit the video recording you put up didn't sound too bad ) but hard to judge as to what sound levels your recording at, I'm listening at, etc. The swapping out to quieter ones, is that pretty straight forward? ( I have done own builds of PC's but am not the most talented DIY'er by any means ). 2: The connections to the PC, how long are they? Just thinking about how much space I can set this up in and how close it needs to be to my PC. 3: The Chair - I was thinking of buying a car bucket style seat ( hopefully second hand ) how easy is it to fit the chair? Do you need special brackets, etc? Right, I think that's all...for now ;)

Hey Ravens, Very nice! I'm quite interested in this so could you answer a couple of questions? First off, how do you find the senasation of movement? Does it take the joystick inputs from DCS and accurately translates this into movement of the rig? How noisey is it when running? Did you have to pay import duties? (I'm also in the UK ). Do you know if it would take a centrally mounted joystick? Many thanks!

Well prepare for a disappointment, unless your hope was for another sale, a bundle sale or that DCS 2.1 is available on steam...

Nice pics, but they are a bit too low res.

Don't forget to change your pixel density as well that makes a big difference in readability of the instruments. There is a way to change the aircraft in the hanger. Forgot how to but if you search you should find the explanation, someone has set up files for all the differnet aircraft, apolgies, I can't rememebr who did it.

It is pretty special isn't it? I've been away from home for a bit but just got back and fired up a quick BlackShark tutorial to get me back in the swing and see what my new Gametrix seat was like. Now I'm pretty rusty on the Shark and could barely remember any of the settings but was able to take of, hover and then land reasonably well on a building. (Which is something I would have stuggled with, even with hours of practice without VR.) But I was able to plonk it down on a pretty tight area. All thanks to VR and the natural way you can see things ( just looking to my left, watching the building roof come up ) and of course the fantastic sense of depth you get. VR and DCS are truly a match made in heaven! :)

I got home yesterday and found mine had been delivered from Gametrix. I was in pretty much the same boat, bit confused by what to load or not... it seems to be working for me now, here's what I did... (I also fly in VR with the CV1) Downloaded the Gametrix Control Panel and the massage .exe. Downloaded the "Sim Shaker For Aviators" I already had "microsoft Net frameworks 4.5" I plugged the USB into a free USB port, didn't plug in any of the sound connectors. Launched the control panel and the massage program ( I had initally only downloaded the control panel and didnt feel anything ). Switched it on and launched DCS. Alt tabbing out of DCS I could see that the plane/helo I was flying was recognised in the control panel screen and felt the effects when I went into a flight. Hope that helps! Sorry if I have missed anything, just going on what I did from memory. Good luck! P.S. I only have the SS for aviators running to get the seat working. I did load the jetseat driver and updated the firmware as well.

Yes, fingers crossed! @mickt014 Blimey! Didn't realise that we would get stung for inport duty!!! Would have been better ordering from Andre after all, as he's in the EU I believe?

Sorry, I haven't got access to my original order. But it was about a month ago. They emailed me 8 days later advising they had "Logistic" problems. As mentioned, they offered that I could cancel the order if I wanted to. Sounds like you may be right and they were just behind on their orders. Hopefully it will be waiting for me when I get home!

I've had a similar experience. Though I did recieve an email from them saying it wasn't going to ship on time and I could cancel the order. I didn't but wish I had. It's over a month now and haven't heard anything further from them. I'm in the UK. I'm going to see if I can cancel and order one from Andre. EDIT. Well that's just spooky! I had literally finished typing this, then had gone to check my emails... It's just shipped! I'm away on holiday but will let you know when/if it turns up when I get home.

Are you sure thats the seat? ... Just ordered one, lookiong forward to seeing how this enhances my VR experience!
