  1. I also very much agree. Must be getting old (I am) but when I watch an informative video I want to watch it! Not be distracted from it every 10 seconds with pointless audio or visual interruptions! He did mention he would "turn it down" next time...how about turning it off, please?
  2. Agreed! I did wonder about the design of the FCU's and if the shape could be smoothed out a bit. A gentle curve on the top of the box as opposed to the hard edges. But whether this could be achieved without increasing the size of the unit is the question. As it obviously needs to be kept as small and light as possible. It's hard to say without actually having one in your hand, or rather on it... :) It's looking good at the moment though I must say and may actually not be an issue at all. So apologies for waffling on! :music_whistling:
  3. I would just add the word "some" to the start of that statement. Unfortunately, the few can seem like the many at times.
  4. Click on the picture and on the right under replies (Gareth Watchman - view 4 more replies) - there is a external pic from RAZBAM (taken in the late 80's by the look of its resolution)...
  5. Nice! Thanks for sharing.
  6. Maybe have a couple of armed Marines at the entrance? DCS meets ARMA3??? :D @Spike525 Also they said once the Carrier is complete they will move on to the other projects, which sounds like this is what they are working on at the moment and "should" be the first of the ongoing projects completed in 2019. Fingers crossed!
  7. While I wholeheartedly agree on your request, I must point out that there have been numerous posts on this over the years. These posts and threads contain the usual suspects that you mention. A good search of the forums will yield these results and explain a lot of why we don't have any of them as yet, such as classified systems, etc. Personally I'd love an MH6 or the holy grail of helo's...AH64. Edit - Hmmm didn't know Poly have committed to the OH58!
  8. Close but no cigar, for me its... somehow get the bird in the air and let this baby roll...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwBbrngafl0 :D
  9. @Miles Fantastic to hear (and see!) the progress being made. Awesome work Sir! Also great to hear feedback from Loz. This is looking better and better.
  10. I think Jabbers responded earlier by saying that because of his screen res the recording didn't really show off the fact that you can see behind OK. Ah, here it is: Post #42 Jabbers: "I had to move my head because I have an ultrawide and recording some things in 16:9 I have to get creative, so the view is a bit different."
  11. I do have a bone to pick with you Jabbers! You just got me to break my New Years resolution of..."No more DCS modules for 2019!!!" Seriously though, an amazing looking aircraft and a really great introduction video, thanks!
  12. Please add us to the initial roll out list. Happy to help initial testing.
  13. Thanks for the very comprehensive explanation Miles, much appreciated. To be honest I wasn't overly concerned with what I was seeing but rather it reminded me of my previous experiences with using TrackIR and how sensitive the cursor can be without a proper deadzone set up, resulting in the slightest twitch sending the cursor flying around like a firefly in the night! Sounds like you have got it covered at any rate!
  14. Good to hear Miles! That looks a nice straightforward design. A quick question, apologies if already answered, but while watching the latest vid I wondered about if you can set a dead zone to smooth out any "wobble" with your finger when you have your arm outstretched?
  15. Not sure if this is the same thing, but I've now noticed that the cursor is solely controlled by my touch controller. Previously it would move by the mouse or headtracking as well. Do you have a touch controller connected?
  16. You might also want to check out this thread, its shaping up to be a great solution for using in-cockpit switches along with keeping your traditional controllers as well. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=218861 And this is Mile's latest vid of it working in game...
  17. Wow! That is looking absolutely amazing! (and exactly what I have been missing since I started using DCS with VR!!!) Really good to hear that you have sorted out the calibration aspect of this as well. A very solid piece of design work and a genuinely innovative product you have there. Very impressed!
  18. I couldn't agree more! I am so looking forward to having a more integrated cockpit experience that doesn't involve my head and neck contorting into positions they really weren't designed to go in, while trying to move my cursor to hover over a control and then click it before seizing the joystick again to regain control of my aircraft! All that along with not having to juggle a touch controller on my lap and having an extra mouse hanging just out of reach to the side of my throttle, 2019 is shaping up to be a great year!!! All the best with this Miles, but please make sure you take some time off so you can enjoy your Xmas. (From a purely selfless point of view I know, as I don't want you getting burned out!!! ) Merry Christmas! :xmas:
  19. Would be nice for them to offer some form of time frame, because mentioning a new feature(s) then having subsequent patches without this feature or mention of it in later development updates, just leads to...well, threads like this one.
  20. Well I wish you the best of luck with this one and hope it allows your buisness to grow with either a revised version or possibly an add on that could clip onto either the side or the top? I currently use the hog throttle and have a DSD button box pretty much in the same posistion (however its stuck there with some wood and foam packaging) so isn't the most elegant of solutions :music_whistling:. However it does the job, what I have missed most is the fact that nearly everything I want is there to clean up the aircraft or prep for landing (flaps, throttles, etc) apart from the landing gear handle. As I fly in VR I would really like to have that additional physical lever which is easy to locate from "muscle memory", but can be easily accessed and won't conflict with existing controls. I really like the platform itself and your design to incorporate it into the throttles base. Long story short, its not quite enough of an improvment on the current box to justify me ordering one, but as I said at the start (of this rather long post...apologies) I wish you all the best with it and hope it leads to further options or projects from you!
  21. I like it, but I'd like it even more if it had a gear lever!
  22. :D Sorry, not this time, I think APB's win by a country mile!
  23. I'm curently considering getting a dedicated Helo setup and saw this one with a very positive review on Helisimmer... https://www.helisimmer.com/reviews/pro-flight-trainer-puma I would be grateful if anyone who has one could spare some thoughts on it? Pro's & Con's, worth it, etc. I would also like to hear if anyone from the UK has bought one and if so did you get clobbered with any extra costs? (Inport duty, etc.) I'm looking at ordering it from one of the retailers in Europe, either France or Belgium and as we are still in the EU (Just) it should be exempt??? Many thanks in advance!
  24. I would have to disagree with you there Miles. I think you explained your thoughts extremely well. Managing expectations is always useful and managaing them in a way that makes me want it even more has got to be a plus! My only feedback would be if you could possibly throw in a couple of paragraphs next time, it would help my old tired eyes! :D
  25. Keep up the good work! Really looking forward to seeing these come out! Cheers.
