I would have to agree about the lack of right click, its just, well, odd that they took the time to implement all the other features, assigned buttons to some "nice to have" rahter than "need to have" options and left off the right click. I had hoped to see a quick fix for this but still we wait. I'm getting round it by using the on screen cursor with right mouse function being mapped to my joystick.

I feel you're pain, but to be fair to ED and personally speaking I haven't seen many of the issues you mention. I fly in VR and have now managed to get my setting so it flies smoothly (most of the time) and looks quite stunning. I am very pleased with how things are progressing and the fun I get out of this sim far outweighs its frustrations, for me at least. Keep the faith! :thumbup:

Good to hear and I do appreciate all their efforts. Someone mentioned earlier that other modules can not be updated until ED release a main patch, is that correct? (In other words, will we have to wait until these larger problems are fixed before we can expect any other modules to get fixes or updates?). Thanks.

Thanks for the answers and I understand the issues with 2.5. However I was actually more interested in other module updates. I'm just flying the Harrier and as an early access module it has many missing features, I was hoping to see more regular updates as these systems come on line. I know patience is a virtue but sometimes that's easier said than done! :D

Yes I understand that... I was actually only referring to 2.5, as in the last 2 weeks hasn't seen any updates for it, sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Apologies if I have missed this in another thread (though I have looked honest :)). But does anyone know what happened to the game updates? They had moved to Wednesdays had they not? There hasn't been one since the 14th.

It's not per plane, its the bottom option (under system - scroll down the list of planes until you see "UI Layer". Then go 2 up from the bottom "Recenter VR Headset" ).

Does that mean at the moment we can not have any other helos on the deck? (Either static or A.I.) Was wanting to put some extra aircraft on the Tarawa to give a better "living" feel to the ship (as well as increasing the difficulty of choosing a landing spot!)

Great info Red, well fingers crossed they get somewhere with ED! Disspointing to hear Occulus actively discouraging other manufactures from advancing the adoption of VR! Please keep us updated!

I must agree with the OP. I have never really thought the current colour of airstrips was particulary good looking (or convincing), seeing the earlier examples just makes that feeling seem even more so! -

As it stands at the moment the coms are reversed between the aircraft and the Mission Editor. So if you want to assign a frequency in the ME for say the tanker. Give it freq 251. You have to assign this to the first entry under Com2 in the ME. This will appear in the aircraft under the Com1 setting. Likewise for airports, you need to assign the airport you wish to contact in the ME under Com2, this will then appear in the aircraft under Com1 settings. As far as I'm aware Com2 is not functional at all (in the aircraft)

Yes, me too! If positive I will be purchasing one as I am currently using a touch controller sitting on my lap which I have to grab in order to select the various cockpit controls. It works but just adds another layer to the interface that hopefully a glove would negate.

Good point, however wouldn't a simple on/off button suffice? Bit like with trackir, you have a hotkey to have it track or not. (obviously not ideal as it uses yet another key binding, but enough to get it working initially.)

Anyone care to update us on how captoglove is working in 2.5, now that VR hand controllers are active? Can it now actually be used as a virtual hand to reach forward and click buttons in the cockpit?

I've flown my mission a couple of times now and I have found the selection of the Air to Air on the ODU a bit hit or miss. Sometimes I have selected it and still not have the TACAN station show up. I just keep switching the TACAN controls off and then on again and it would eventually show up. Just a thought, but where do you have the TACAN channel for the Tankers waypoints? I had it originally as position 3 then moved it up to 1 and that seemed to get it to work. (I still don't know why its entry is greyed out when compared to the other waypoints, but it works!)

Thanks, its a bit weird (or operator error on my side), but I just reset my mission, (which is on the Caucasus map). Selected the tanker (CH1) and flew straight to it, working perfectly...now! :)

I think I spoke to soon! Having got the TACAN to come up on the MFD (I had set it on Ch1) I then flew toward it only to be taken to the coast (not the tanker)! My apologies, looks like its not been fixed after all, still trying to figure out why it did read correctly to begin with!!! :wallbash:

Ah, well actually got it working. Just saw another thread in missions talking about it. Went back into the ME and changed the priority in the advanced waypoints option. Went back in game and its working. They have added this functionality without having to edit the .lau. Thanks anyways!
