  1. Life has been a "little" fraught recently as we are trying to move house. I can see why it comes in at no.2 on life's "stress-o-meter"!!! Despite that and work being busy, I have continued to keep a watching brief on your antics! It really is looking superb and every time I get in the sim I long for the day I can keep the rift controllers in the draw and do what my fingers were made for...well you know what I mean!
  2. Us British like to keep things simple...I simply missed off the 1 from that particular measurement...ooops! It should have read Width = Widest point is 175mm (170mm top and bottom) I put it down to getting up without enough sleep! Apologies for the error. Though could have been worse as having briefly looked down at the imperial measurements it would have been even more sketchy!
  3. Hi Miles, This is a little tricky as the unit has curves all over, best I could determine is as follows: Width = Widest point is 75mm (70mm top and bottom) Height = 95mm (Taken at the centre highest point, but again tapering to 94 at the far left/right) Depth = 74mm to the very edge. 72 to the end of the main "grey" section, the black end cap type cover adds another 2mm Hope that helps. Other less useless DIY's please feel free to correct my ad-hoc attempts at precision!
  4. Sorry, could you link to the news about the Nimitz, please? I'm unaware of anything being announced recently. Thanks!
  5. I've just ordered mine on Amazon(UK) and it says I'll get it on the day of release! (Tuesday 21st). Fingers crossed!
  6. Great news Miles! Hopefully, those of us across the pond won't be too far down the road if the initial feedback is positive.
  7. Slightly off topic, but I have just started to learn the various bombing modes and was searching the forums to see if anyone else had this issue and found this thread.. I have a hog HOTAS and my joystick has the forward aft assigned to one of the hats by default. When I select either up or down the caret doesn't move. I've checked the key bindings and all seems well. I then assigned two keyboard inputs to the same and the caret moves as expected. Has anyone else experienced this?
  8. #17 has the answer. (though not sure if Spalsh's problem is the same issue as others???) How about stickying this thread and editing the first post with the necessary file?
  9. As to the question of activation/deactivation... Manual is fine by me. K.I.S.S is my personal moto... :)
  10. Hi Miles, Not sure if this has been covered already, but as we are on the verge of getting several new VR headsets (Reverb, Occulus S I'm particularly interested in) will these require custom mounts and if so is this something you will need to wait to get your hands on before putting an HMS together for them? (They look basically the same though the reverb has more of a curve across the face.)
  11. Great news Miles! Excellent idea about the vids as well. I prefer learning stuff through watching, so this sounds perfect!
  12. What a great idea! Good job!!!
  13. Wow! Just read the entire thread and your website, plus vids. Inspiring stuff! I really hope a manufacturer jumps onto this and can build it to the same high standards you obviously use. Not sure if I would be able to afford it but I would give it a serious go!!! :D
  14. @Firecat. PM sent. In case you still wanted our intentions. @Miles - Sent you a PM too on a slightly different matter. :smilewink:
  15. Hey Phil, I'm certainly no expert but it looks like you haven't set either the TACAN up for the refueller or assigned it the radio channel. These need to be in the advanced waypoint actions part of the tanker along with the instruction to act as a refueler (which you have added).
  16. Ditto! I've also been following the HP Reverb info with great interest. Looks like a good improvement from the CV1. Time will tell and I will definitely have to upgrade my GFX, but in for a penny as they say...
  17. Ha ha, nice try! No I read it in a book once...honest! :book: ... but to be fair it was a book about... :gun_rifle:
  18. LOL, I don't believe it, that was the problem. I just tried "approaching for refuel" and it works!!! Now all I need to try and figure out is why their response is only text and not spoken??? Thanks!
  19. Hey all, Hope someone can assist! I am currently failing miserably to get the module working again. I have tried reinstalling, setting up all the controls and settings again, but still fall at the last hurdle. As when I actually transmit and say "Request refuel" or anything else... I get this... "There are currently no Crew recipients available." I have searched and cannot find anything that actually relates to my problem associated with this comment. The only thing I found related to microphone setup, but my mic is set to rift and seems to be working OK. I'm sure Im doing something obvious, but clearly not too me!!! 10:13:10 - Joystick : 'Transmit TX4 release' 10:13:10 - There are currently no Crew recipients available. 10:13:10 - Recognized : 'request refuel' 10:13:07 - Listening resumed 10:13:07 - Joystick : 'Transmit TX4 press' 10:12:33 - Allied Flight (Springfield11): Springfield 1, passing waypoint 2 at 15000 10:12:29 - Nearest ATC: Sukhumi-Babushara. 10:12:29 - Player New callsign entered module F-14AB Tomcat, unit callsign Enfield11 10:12:29 - DCS mission | F-14B_IA_Caucasus_refueling Easy coms are on.
  20. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Looking forward to trying this out, when the time is right!
  21. It does look great, but for me it's just too much of an FPS killer :(
  22. Harlikwin, hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but to avoid any possible confusion, it's called PointCTRL and the link to the thread is here. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=218861 It really looks a great device for getting around using an interface device while still being able to use joystick and throttle.
  23. Couldn't have put it better! And finally we get a promo vid that perfectly echos the tunes ive been playing over and over in my head every time I had watched some F14 footage!
  24. Thanks to you and enjoy your holiday! :)
  25. Or Maverick and Charlie waving you off! EDIT: Ah sniped by macidcrook. I'm just too slow. I feel the need, the need for...a lay down.
