I think model enlargement is essential if they are not going to put a dot over long distance contact. There is not much point in making color/contrast/shading/reflections improvements when the game is not drawing a single pixel on your screen on which to display those effects. It doesn't make much sense to see a reflection on an object you can't even see in the first place. Not to say that those things shouldn't be added, but they should probably be added on top of an improved imposter system. Whether such a system can/will be made, or if ED are even aware that it is necessary/whether ED believes its fine as is, nobody knows. That's the part that hurts.

I assumed auto was automatically dispense cms when locked/fired upon, since that is generally bad even in the A10 I hadn't tried it. The small 'box' is the only interface you have with the countermeasures right? -
Mostly a quality of life thing, but I would greatly prefer this over having to repeatedly hammer the buttons in order to keep dispensing countermeasures. Just like the way it works in the Mig21. Any chance of this happening?

Yeah this, it seems like there's just a bit of code missing from the vertical axis, considering you can adjust the horizontal one all you want. -

Looks really nice, any particular reason the TOW variant will only have the A model? Not sure if it would matter ingame but would the B TOW be a possibility? Also, is the Korean variant meant for observation? Can it laser designate with those optics?

I also have issues with flares/chaff, it tends to happen on the first flight I make after joining a server. Zero response from pressing the buttons, then next fly out it works fine again and usually does for the rest of the session.

Probably a long shot, but would there be any chance of a Stinger armed BSH variant? Also, is there a version with 8 TOW missiles? There are some pictures of if floating around but can't find any real info on who uses it.

Somebody else give this a test please, but I think they actually fixed it. Non-AA AI units (tank MG/BMP/Bradley etc) no longer seems to have flawless aim. Even if you fly in a straight line they can be off by quite a bit. I'm flying with A10C at T55s pulling off at last second and they barely ever hit me, where doing that before would lead to critical damage 50% of the time. Gonna test some more, if its actually fixed this is amazing.

Automatic guns accuracy corrected Does anyone know what this means? Possible that AI units have their accuracy reduced?

Yep it needs more work in nearly every regard, has anything official been said about this at all recently? It would be a major relieve to know it is still on the agenda at least.

No, has zero function in the context of the game as it stands. Light weapons just aren't useful in the game and there's plenty other trainers etc that do practically the same. If you insist on spending money on something do like a su17, mig27 or su24m.

Do other planes do the same thing? Might just be an issue with the 95 model.

Also experiencing noticeably reduced fps lately with TGP up lately, it didn't used to do that before.

A lot of missiles/rockets need their own smoke set, its a bit of a mess last time I checked with S24/S5/S8/S25 all leaving identical smoke trails. Only S25L had its own much fatter smoketrail for some reason. Also Hydra's should not have the same smoketrails as the russian stuff, pretty obvious when comparing recent Russian rocket footage from Syria to any Hydra use. The whole thing needs looking at really.

Good post Pikey, I think it pretty much gets to the core of why frustration springs up occassionally. The problem is that there's no real community manager who's job it is to communicate between devs and fans. Brings news from the devs to the people, and filters out the main concerns of the community and sends it to the devs. When you don't have someone to do that as a main occupation, you get this sketchy on/off again communication since it really just depends on a dev having free time + desire to spend time on the forums after work. I think calling a desire for regular communication entitlement is strange though. There's really no reason not to keep your community updated, if anything its opportunity for constant free marketting and creating hype, meaning more sales in the end. It's missed opportunities really.

Thanks for the explanation Vampyre, that should have really been on page 1 as well. Anyway, since Zeus mentioned they wanted to do an AV8 with radar when ED had ground radar ready finally. I think it makes sense to do GR7/9 and then save the AV8 for the radar version as a later development.

That gun is tempting though, but it would be nice to have a very basic rundown of what each version would entail. To make the most educated decision.
