  1. They got rid of the Flanker-like display - It's only a HUD repeater now.
  2. Try getting the nosewheel off the runway between 100 and 120 KCAS, see if that does anything. Should be holding 10 degrees pitch until you're off the floor, as well.
  3. That was a joke. ---> Which Rhinos am I referring to? :D Okay maybe that looked better in my head, whatever... :P Joking aside though, we're in agreement on the Lightning and all that.
  4. So what you're saying is that the Marines should buy Rhinos?
  5. Just about, yeah, why not. Same bird aerodynamically, same engines. The S is slightly heavier, typically, so keep that in mind.
  6. It's a contest for the title of Best Level Turn Forum BFMer 2016.
  7. 29A is the stock fulcrum with no jammer, pretty crappy radar, all the typical A/A and A/G stuff (R-27s, R-73, R-60, 80mm rockets, dumb bombs, cluster bombs, maybe dispensers and illumination bombs, dont' remember) 29S has a better radar (multi target track), internal ECM (inferior to other FC3 birds), R-77 capability, slightly more internal fuel. 29G is a 29A slightly downgraded, limited to R-27Rs only (no T/ET/ER) for BVR. it uses feet/knots for the displays EXCEPT for target range, that's still in KM. Limited to rockets only for air to ground. Don't think there are any differences in the radar besides the fact that target speed/alt are in knots/feet.
  8. You're missing the rainbow colored F-35 helmet, though.
  9. "Lightning 1 Pitbull times two." "Lightning kill two ship F-18 bulls xxx/xx (...)" Or, heck, drop the BVR weapons and just focus on pre-merge stuff and pilots that don't commit to neutral merges like us flight sim types! :) Edit: Also, as for my above post, I should have said "Those assumptions make or break (...)" ---> There's quite a few assumptions in there that IMHO create a very unlikely scenario. (or multiple unlikely scenarios) This goes for every scenario you have listed - You keep saying "this turns like that" but you're ignoring how you've gotten to that turn fight - That is where all the fun happens IMO.
  10. ...After a few passes... That assumption is what makes or breaks your entire argument. I'm leaning towards breaks, tbh.
  11. Down that path? You guys are adding vertical into this level-turn forum BFM? :megalol:
  12. But why would you be in a level rate fight at 15k?
  13. Uploading a video on this right now...Will edit when upload is complete. Edit: Here it is, but just note that I'm pretty quiet for some reason (or the game is too loud...? IDK).
  14. Figure out the course heading for the airfield's ILS and take a guess based off that + distance.
  15. Imgur Album: http://imgur.com/a/BcbLF ^There's a Ktulu on my wing! ^High n Fast over Elgin ^High for the initial 1/2 ^High for the initial 2/2 ^Nick's Quick Climb off 21L 1/2 ^Nick's Quick Climb off 21L 2/2 ^Mmmm that echelon, mmmmm....
  16. France is the only country with all of the Mirage skins, AFAIK. Mmm desert Mirages, mmm...
  17. "AWACS" - A(ir to air missile) Warning And (over-)Controlling System. But yeah, the SA that Blue Flag GCI gives you is....Interesting... If used correctly... If...
  18. Ahh, level turn forum BFM... Ahhhhh...
  19. Why not the F-14-style desert scheme!? Wasn't that camo modeled after the Flanker prototypes to begin with...? :music_whistling:
  20. But what about that one-bag-swag? :P I want both....Man...Multiple F-16Ns vs F-14Bs would be...Interesting.
  21. ETs? They're a joke *if* I know you're out there. With GCI, yeah, that *if* can get quite iffy. R-77s? Meh, they're kinda equal-ish I think, the -120B has a slight advantage at range where the Adder is the king super close (or they're about even - Platform agility plays a roll here as well!). IMHO, the Eagle can do a "certain defensive maneuver" a LOT better than the Adder (and Alamo) platform and that makes a huge difference. ;) Anyway, this Round ought to be quite fun, regardless of the AAMs used!
  22. AFAIK they are planned...I recall reading that we'd get the AV-8B (NA) first, then one of the Brit birds (or both? IDK), then the AV-8B+ (w/ the APG-65 in the nose)
  23. Nice! I think it really depends on who's running the show and/or how the comms are divided. I've seen some crazy crap with 6 Eagles vs ~2.5 their number...And the opposite...Both times the smaller/more coordinated "fight" won. I say fight because in some cases the team didn't win as a whole. (think late Round 5, for example...Blue could win a 2v5, but couldn't get strikers to push on time, etc.)
