  2. Agreed, realism isn't always a good thing, we don't own F/A-18's, we own PC hardware.
  3. Go along the axis of movement, not the axis of the line of vehicles, if they happen to be the same, good, but that would tend to only be a convoy not an advancing line of tanks, use CCIP, and try to estimate how much lead you need, then it's just practice.

Just had something weird happen on MP, landed with one AIM-120 left and went to re-arm, and after I re-armed, none of my missiles would fire until after I had jettisoned that missile, I found this out by jettisoning all my missiles except my 9X's on the wingtips, they were then able to be fired as normal. Prior to this they were showing up on my Stores page, but not on the HUD, each missile type count was zero.

  10. Just for clarity, I don't really care for the Comanche, but I'm sick to death of seeing threads in the wishlist that almost immediately devolve into "I don't want that", so what.... The person starting the thread, what ever thread, does, so get over it, start your own about what you want.

In the mission editor we can set the JTAC to request general types of weapons, such as a laser guided bomb or a ATGM etc. Would it be possible to make it so we can specify a particular weapon, for instance if I have different types of LGB's or different types of Mavericks, I can set in the ME to use a particular type, eg the Mav-E. The reason I ask is that I'll set up a JTAC to lase a target, with the intention to use a Mav E, and often I'll hear the JTAC specifically "request AGM-65D", just because I also have those for more flexibility and additional non-designated targets. In all practical terms, it doesn't matter at the moment, since he still lases it and you can still fire, it's more to do with the fact that you don't need him to be lasing a target for a D, and unless you have a targeting pod to spot the laser you can't know where it is, since the D won't see it, so it's a bit pointless.

  13. Me either, it's ridiculous, wah wah wah, someone wants a module I don't want, wha wha wha. It's called "DCS Wishlist" for a reason, not "DCS Wishlist as long as everyone else is happy". No one would make them buy it, and if they don't want it in an MP server then they can host a server or go on a server where it is banned.

  17. DCS is a sand box sim, so if there is enough info then why not, MP servers can ban things afterall…
  18. Got to say I think it would be entirely possible for someone with experience of the DCS Hornet AND experience IRL in general aviation, say just gained their pilots licence to take off, fly a circuit and maybe even land the thing.
  19. Flying the same routes wasn't the only issue, there were Yugoslavian agents reporting the take off times of NATO jets including the F-117's, if you know that and have a good idea of the planned routes then you can be highly confident of where and when they'll be.

I've been running into a problem since the last patch, I've been setting up drones like the Reaper as an AFAC, and setting it to use the Laser in the mission editor, and when it comes time to talk to the AFAC it insists on using WP target marker, which is obviously no good for guiding 65E's. Could be a mission editor issue, could be AI, don't know, ground units don't seem to be effected by this. It is a bit hit and miss, sometimes I can delete the unit, and put it back in and it fixes it, but most of the time not.
