Video Tutorial for Animation Setup in 3ds Max
luckybob9 replied to Mode1961's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
Hopefully I am not too late to the party. I always do increments of 90 degrees for rotation. Dont forget to go into the Curve Editor and set to Linear from the default slightly curved line. Otherwise it will slowdown slightly at the Key Frames. I have seen -30/+30 properly but not entirely sure why. -100/+100 is the proper way from all the documentation I have. -
I just checked. All three mirrors work for me
-
As in just hide the gizmo? Not lock rotation to one axis?
-
I will check what it takes. To clarify, you want a way to rotate the model on the X Y or Z axis only? In exact same way that in 3ds max you can click on the axis orb line and it will only rotate along that one specified axis? you can use ftp1 ftp2 or ftp3. I will edit the first post

Unplug everything. Turn it on. Wait a day. Every day add a new device. Im suspecting possibly PSU failure. Either flaking or delivering dirty power and the rest of the system is being smart and protecting itself

If you want. I do not think anything substantial has changed. What the German language the issue?
-
You are very welcome! I monitor this thread so I can help. It might be the German language. If my memory is correct, there was a scenario a year or so ago where the German version of 3d max would not work. Can you install it with the English language and try? Sure. Save the file in 2010 version and upload it
-
Oh. Hmmm. Is your 3ds max in English language? Judging by the "deu" folder, is it in German? Did you assign a texture to it? What version of plugins are you using? Attached screenshot for the maps
-
Page 6 of the document in the first post should solve it. Screenshot of it attached here for convenience. In the material editor, find Material Attributes and assign it to default. As a reminder, set all unused maps to 0.
-
Verify that the file exists in the given location
-
I just tried the uninstaller and it worked fine. But they get installed here: C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsmax\2010 - 64bit\enu\plugins And here: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2010\plugins
-
Have you tried installing an old version? It might overwrite it. If not, try the add/ remove programs from the control panel. If not that, I can dig up the location to the plugins manually. Let me know the outcome

Same question. Is there a difference between gamma and brightness? Can the same effect be achieved by changing brightness of the monitor or is it different in some way. If it is same, I do understand that it would be nicer on a per application basis than on a global level.

I am not familiar with the feature totally, but what does the ME look like? Is there a place for argument number? How do you select the target that you want to animate? is it the usual trigger zone, or do you specify the specific object? 0 / 1 most likely refers to the 0 and 1 animation frames declared in the 3d model. For instance, in the hardened aircraft shelters, Argument 0 controls the doors. and 0 the doors are closed, at 1 they are open. Although 0 could mean off while 1 means on.

AI Messerschmitt Bf109E Beta released
luckybob9 replied to kato217's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
hmm possibly new changes in how the game reads from the mods folder. Thanks -
did you select the right version? http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=80398&d=1367355455

Im not sure offhand, but look in the Axis section of the controls. Mine is set to my trackir by default, but I do not have the public version yet and never had the time to change it. My guess is that in the Axis section, there is a setting for the guns, and you can set it to something like the mouse.

For a continued OSPREY discussion please open a new thread and keep this one related to the EDM tools themselves.
-
Opening in what sense? Opening a .edm file? That is not possible
-
Nevada could be done, but if EDGE is still in progress, screenshots might not be possible. Nevada is dependent on EDGE. If EDGE is in a state of code where it is not running fully, Nevada cannot be loaded and therefore screenies cant be taken

Day 1 Studios had about 40-50 employees. They had a full beta on their last product Reign of Thunder when it got announced before they were acquired. Eagle has about 50 employees last it was mentioned. Better company comparison? Also Eagle is not really "Pitching" anything. Its not 'hey do you guys like this, if yes we could do it.' Its 'hey we are upgrading our engine'
-
My comparison between ED and Bungie was only with regards that ED tells us things while they are in the beginning phase, where as Bungie has a full on public demo ready when they announce something. No other comparisons were made
-
I have. I am curious to know what these 'alot' items are. Can you fail in something that you have not quit at? Simple searches tell you all you need. EDGE is a new engine and terrain needs to be created for it starting with Nevada. That is why the current map will not automatically be using the benefits. Specifics such as self shadowing terrain, accurate terrain textures from satellite imagery, incorporation of normal map in airfields, and other items like number of cores, object count, texture size, draw distance, etc can not be answered at this time. Most games are not publicly announced until well into years of development. In fact, most sequels to games are started months after the first is shipped but we the public never hear anything official for sometimes up to 2-3 years. We are lucky ED tells us their their rough roadplan and EDGE was mentioned while in its infancy. How is this any different than a company like Bungie, except that we have been told upfront what the idea roadplan is. Bungie has been working on Destiny for several years and just recently been announced.
