  1. Agree, the Gazelle L (gunship) might be a better alternative.
  2. Great fun last night playing blue. TAW KO is right in my top MP list !
  3. For what it's worth, playing MP in 2.5 (FS99th server), spawning in the Mirage at Nellis gave me extremely low framerate (4 fps, aka slideshow)... but closing the canopy made it back to normal.
  4. Um, you can already do that ! You can take control of the collective while in commander seat ("disable auto collective").

"SAM Simulator : the DCS module" [emoji41]
  6. First DCS campaign I finish : I wish it were longer, which means I enjoyed it a lot ! I like how it features the Mirage's capabilities all around, the well crafted atmosphere and the gradual difficulty. Red Flag will be an insta-buy for me !
  7. I second the request... it only makes sense that urban areas would be blacked out during a war ! As is now it's like there's a war on and nobody cares [emoji16]
  8. Reminds me of the tank game "Balkans on fire" in the early 2000s. Was a bit of a polemia because there were indeed civilians and civilian vehicles and, well you could machine gun them, set a bus on fire and have flaming people and children run out before keeling over on the road. At least it simulated the atrocities of a civil war well [emoji28]
  9. I kinda contemplated this too... but not right after shelling 216€ to make a Playseat compatible support for it ! [emoji1]
  10. Damn ! Too bad. Oh well the Fat Mamba is still a great stick.
  11. Any chance the new clutch system could be offered as a Fat Mamba upgrade ?
  12. Woah, that's cool !
  13. So I have both, but the default's Playseat enter "pedestal" is way inefficient for a central position stick (between the knees) as it's really intended for civilian style yokes. Therefore I'm strongly thinking of building a customized one. Main hurdle to designing one is actually the triangular (with rounded angles) section support column. Couldn't they have used a standard, easy to find rectangular section tube ? sheesh. Anyway, has anyone ever done such a thing before and have technical references for the support column ? Designing the actual stick support plate appears easy in comparison : it will be basically a flat plate the size and shape of the Mamba's base, with screw holes.
  14. For what it's worth, I have a trim problem with the Gazelle in 1.5.4 since today : I can't trim it right, I mean the trim right wind down doesn't work. The pitch trim axis does work though. Yesterday it worked too... Puzzling.
  15. Guys from Polychop, this might interest you for the future sniper variant : http://forcesoperations.com/un-strike-pour-le-tireur-delite/
  16. I got mine last week too. A pleasure to work on, to switch the cam and springs as needed for the Warthog grip. I tried both can designs (10 and 30) and went back to the 10 on the X roll axis. No center bump feels a lot more natural for me.
  17. Well, I'm glad I got into that last load of Fat Mambas [emoji41]
  18. My VKB Black Mamba MkIII arrived today... Unboxing Pics! Do you live I Europe ? I have one on order too... Edit : never mind, saw you were in the US :-)
  19. I've had the same dream since I read the Mirage 2000C manual (the one about the real plane) mentioning téléaffichage and GCI. Hopefully one day GCI could be integrated into DCS just like AWACS... :music_whistling: You can save/load controller settings in DCS too...
  20. I'll try to post mine this evening when I'm home.
  21. I did my first successful refueling yesterday, using the uploaded mission. I can confirm the importance of controller settings : you need to make fine, precise attitude adjustments and therefore need maximum accuracy in the center. Hence 0 dead zone and 0 curve. Then I could do precise adjustments without over correcting.
  22. This looks awesome !
  23. When it's done...
  24. Set the radio to manual frequency first.
  25. Very interesting indeed, but I wouldn't pull conclusions about the Mirage from it's he didn't specify the exact model nor unit involved. It could have been a mudmover... facing an expert aggressor, no wonder it wouldn't be impressive.
