  1. I think they have confirmed that other versions will be made once ED release the ground radar code they're working on. I imagine it'll be released in tandem with the F/A-18C.
  2. Zeus I would give you my money right now if I could! But if I must wait, day one purchase it shall be!
  3. There's a whole host of manuals available for free out there, see here; https://publicintelligence.net/?s=natops https://publicintelligence.net/?s=flight+manual
  4. I think it's within the rules, it's public information after all. https://publicintelligence.net/u-s-navy-natops-av-8b-harrier-ii-flight-manuals/
  5. US carrier operated harriers were recommended to ensure that the load be symmetrical (weight wise) or as close as possible for vertical landings.
  6. I believe some of the software / methods used to create the aircraft is behind closed doors, the dev must sign an NDA to use it. I don't know if any of that is used to create a FM but if it is you won't find any sneak peaks being released. Although I could be wrong, this is just the word on the street!
  7. Google the term PEBKAC.
  8. From what I've seen and read the American harrier was only able to carry the TGP on wing pylons until a wiring upgrade enabled it to carry it on the center pylon. The American harriers were never equipped to carry them on the 'gun pylons'. The British GR.9's did have this capability tho. I read that part of the reason for never using them on the gun pylons was down to it being an asymmetric loadout. The aircraft needed to land vertically, on a carrier, having the TGP on a gun pylon created an unstable loadout. Here's a pic of carrying it in the center pylon For some quick sources - source 1 source 2 - skip to page 510
  9. With older British stuff it's not so much classified as 'unconfirmed'. The MOD has a tradition of not commenting on stuff related to the military. For example; you can ask them if a certain system was present in the English Electric Lightning and they will offer no comment on it, but you can just pop down to an aviation museum with a Lightning and see the system and figure out how it works. But equally there are more modern things that may be present on later model Tornado's and Harrier's that are legitimately classified. At that point it's not what you know but who you know!
  10. Prowler that's pure pornography!
  11. Make Caucasus map Great Again! C'mon ED, you know you want to!
  12. If you have A-10C - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=110840 Aside from that I just add in realistic sounds I find on the web from time to time, I have a flare sound I got from a different game which I use in place of the default one. https://mega.nz/#!XYEiSBhI!y8VRXe70MQxgDG0szzDNZMdPWmxqfQgThVHpiYdf5jU
  13. I had this exact issue and somewhere else on the forum someone pointed out the fix - update your drivers. If you have a Nvidia based card go here - http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx
  14. If you knock the MFCD's into night mode it helps a little bit. Still difficult tho
  15. Quote from Mr. Wagner on the subject; http://forums.mudspike.com/t/razbam-mig-23-canceled/3314/90
  16. It may be something to do with the propeller - I refer you to this thread; https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179040 I don't own the Spit so I can't offer much beyond what I find in the bug section of the forum for the spitfire; https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=527
  17. Well I regularly use CBU-97's and 105's against infantry so I guess it would work against idle aircraft too.
  18. My rule for GBU-12's; - 10 seconds auto-lase 99% of the time - 15 seconds if windy conditions
  19. Rex, can you confirm the MLWS is set to on? I've had a glitch a couple times where it's activated on the switch on the CMS control panel but up on the front dash it's not activated. I have to turn it off and on again to get it back. Just to confirm - you're sure this isn't what's going on?
  20. Don't use the ATC for landing, it's a bit janky. I use the kneeboard (Rshift + K, [ and ] to turn page) to get the data I need then use the Mk.1 Eyeball to land.
  21. We can argue about this until the cows come home but from a purely capability point of view the MiG-21 is the better aircraft. That's not to say the F-5 is useless, it can perform. But in a head to head setting with pilots of equal (decently skilled) ability the MiG should have it in the bag the majority of times. Ultimately Bushido (original poster) you buy what you want. If you like the US style layout and have a generous wallet get the F-5. If you want a steeper learning curve & multirole capable airframe get the MiG-21. If I had to recommend one module outright it would be the A-10C. It's just the best.
  22. Many Thanks gromit190, it doesn't matter if an entire group is affected by a script because I can set each aircraft to be in it's own group. I've found a DCS Func to add fuel to a unit but not an ammo script as of yet. Fuel - http://wiki.hoggit.us/view/DCS_func_getFuel I am kinda new to .lua scripting so where would I insert these DCS func scripts? Do they go as a .lua file within the mission file or do I insert them via a trigger inside the mission editor?
  23. Some of the guys I play with can't get enough of infinite ammo / fuel, but me; I can't stand it. Muh immersion is ruined! Is there a way I can add toggle infinite X to client's aircraft as an F10 radio selection or another way? I can't seem to find a premade trigger for it so I'm guessing it'd have to be done via .lua scripting? Ideally the trigger could be activated by any aircraft occupied by a client...if such a thing is possible. Any ideas?
  24. @Kev2go To me the F-5 is just the T-38 trainer with extras. Sure it has a better RWR and modern avionics but personally speaking I still have a thing for the MiG-21. I think it's probably to do with the fact I've got a good number of hours clocked in it. Once you become familiar with switch & button locations and learn the procedures the MiG-21 becomes second nature. A pilot whom is a master of his aircraft is a deadlier weapon than a noob in a more modern aircraft. But yeah the MiG-21 is certainly my bag! But I guess each to their own, a Russian Su-27 pilot probably wouldn't like the layout of the F-15C if he had the chance to operate it.
  25. MiG-21 - no competition. The F-5 is a training aircraft with a couple sidewinders bolted on. MiG-21 is a multirole war machine! Also F-5 is ridiculously priced considering it's capabilities.
