Found a site containing very detailed drawings of the Avro Lancaster. http://hydroz.net/ftp/public/Avro/lancaster/ Now that DCS is moving into the WW2 realm hopefully this will be of use. EDIT 17th AUGUST 2018 - the files have now been removed but if you go to Hydroz.net and message the site owner he will gladly sort you out with the documents.

I also have a declassified document showing performance characteristics for the AIM-7F. It's quite detailed. I will endeavor to find similar information on the AIM-7P. AIM-7F Sparrow III-January 1977.pdf

Just wanna point out RAZBAM already have an A-7E in the pipeline. The A-7E is an F-8, but better!
-
I could be wrong but I believe this is an issue that lies within the core sim itself. It's not something 3rd party devs can alter.
-
This made me chuckle!
-
My solution would be to leave it with a perfect ability to detect vehicles but set the detection range as very short. No more than say 1 or 2 miles.

Just a friendly reminder that the MiG-21 in game carries [bL755]them!

Mad_Max2 - go here C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Tracks and attach the track of that mission you played to get the screenshot. That sort of damage is exactly what ED wants to investigate.

[DCS World - A10-C] - RWR Audio Expansion
al531246 replied to Tetra's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Am I the only one having issues with this in DCS 2? It's working a charm in 1.5 but nothing but default acquisition sounds on DCS 2. -
This will be the case on every server for the first week or two. Nothing Alpenwolf can do to prevent it. But with that being said the Harrier is actually a worse ASF than the F-5E so it shouldn't be of any concern!
-
For all it's faults (of which there aren't very many let's be honest) I don't think anyone has ever regretted buying the M-2000C. It's a solid aircraft that's very capable.

SeaQuark 2 quick suggestions after playing for a bit earlier this evening; 1) Perhaps add 'SeaQuark' to the beginning of the server name - "SeaQuark - KOREA! 1952". I found it difficult to spot the exact server. Make sure your server stands out; by adding SeaQuark we know it's your server. 2) Maybe add some light ground targets for when the server is light on players. If you stick some inf / soft skinned vehicles very close to bullseye it guarantees interception if somebody does join the other team. Just my $0.02.

Probably still on, nothing has suggested the deal fell through. The sounder Zeus is on about is 'code' for lack of a better term that makes it so everybody else hears the Harrier's custom engine sounds. Otherwise you as the pilot of the Harrier would hear the new sounds but others without the Harrier would hear stock DCS jet engine sounds / no sound at all.

You definitely ran a repair and saw it through? If you did then you may have found a bug, although I will say I've haven't had this happen to myself. Upload your track file for the mission you played, it's located in; C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer Maybe that will yield some more clues.

From the very little information we have on them we know the MICA missiles are outstanding. They are no slouches!
-
Getting any information on the MICA missiles will be impossible. The French don't even share data about the missile with NATO partners! RAZBAM probably would have done the -5 if they could.

All this talk of how well the Eurofighter would perform is irrelevant; the aircraft is far too classified. Even the one VEAO had their sights on was an early model with almost none of the systems that are on the current bird. A far better aircraft for consideration would be the Tornado. There's plenty of documentation out there on it, it's being retired from service as we speak and, well, it's a freakin Tornado! What more do you want?!

I've got this mod to pass IC and re-upped it to the user files. Mainstay if you want me to take it down just let me know, it's your work and I take no credit for it. I have had some issues getting texture 08 and 028 to work, the game refuses the image file no matter what format it is in so I've had to omit it from the description.lua. But the image file is still included in the files. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2904055/

That seems like more effort than it's worth! I can bypass all that just by flying the Su-27!

That's true they are in the open but my point is they're still relatively close to the mountains. It doesn't take long at all to return to the safety of them following your attack - the time spent in the open is not long at all. Once in the mountains your odds of winning a fight are vastly increased. And I must admit balance doesn't appear to be an issue on the ACG missions. The missions are well designed as to negate player numbers I often find. But like I said I can't say I've seen it all, I've played no more than a handful of times on the new mission. I will certainly endeavor to get more hours whenever possible.

Some feedback for the new Ossetia mission. Everytime I've played this mission (no more than I can count on one hand) it results in the Blue side destroying the objective(s) in roughly 30 mins or less. Given the mountainous terrain between the Blue base and the objective it makes it rather easy for attackers to hide in the valleys, carry out a pop-up attack and then return to the safety of the valleys with relative ease. The same can be said for the F-5E's flying CAP. The MiG-21's radar is more a hindrance than a help at low altitude and in particular in valleys. If we combine this with the diabolical ability of the MiG-21 to dogfight I think we can say with a degree of certainty how most of the individual dogfights end! The Blue side has a tremendous advantage on this mission they really do. As for my suggestions; Perhaps extend the ground targets a little further from the hills as to force the attackers to fly in the exposed open for a while? Maybe add a CTLD script that enables Mi-8's to deploy MANPADS? This is just my $0.02 on the mission. Happy to hear thoughts of others who disagree.
