RAZBAM are already making an A-6 guys.
-
I see this is now turning into a what's next hype train! Thus I must drop my 2 cents in - Please by god be a Tornado!! Even if it isn't I really hope HB do a British Tornado GR.x eventually, they're the best devs for it.
-
That aircraft is a national treasure!
-
Ahem; Tornado. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2925744&postcount=84 British stuff matters too!
-
Keep the faith my good man!

Pics of what you're on about?

Just put a British skin on the RAZBAM AV-8B, you won't be able to tell the difference. You won't find a Harrier FA.2 or GR.7 / 9 for a long while. The Blue Vixen radar the FA.2 used was really advanced and not likely to be declassified within this decade. As for the GR.7 / 9's the RWR technology they had is still being used on Typhoon's and Tornado's. Absolutely no chance of them being declassified anytime soon. I think the AV-8B will satisfy your Harrier needs for the time being. And I'm a die hard Brit so I want muh British harrier as much as y'all do!

I think I see the point that Probad is outlining. If a lack of female voices is what's stopping you from playing the game then you're not really that interested and certainly not worth the developers devoting their time and effort towards your cause. BUT having said that I'm not opposed to having female voices. I don't see this as an equality or some farcical diversity / inclusiveness policy but instead I see it as an opportunity to add a bit more variation to the game. The same way FSX had female ATC voices, nobody complained and why would they. It felt natural and was. So on conclusion I'd give a +1 for this. But it certainly shouldn't be a priority issue at this point in time.

Almost certainly not. Would be a neat little feature but I can live with without it.

Good to see the correct ale is being consumed!

Mr BIGNEWY, you legend! I ran the cleanup function and it gave a huge list of files, I deleted them all to be safe and then ran the repair. That's cracked it. I believe I owe you a drink!
-
Yup, as I said in the OP all 4 files have been manually deleted and redownloaded via the DCS Updater.
-
This is the most up to date version of the manual I have found(my link) - https://mega.nz/#!2YsgFQJY!s8oOXLdoH7NhJTeFMdleGErcEJnMOCU2EsaXHqQ8ko4

SOLVED - Solution here - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/ It seems with all the joys the new IC 'update' has brought to others, I've not been left out! My version of DCS OpenBeta fails the IC no matter what. I've removed all traces of mods from the game folders, deleted files that fail the IC and ran near on 100 repairs. All to no avail. What's interesting is when I initially view the server browser I'm presented with an IC pass, but upon attempting to join the 104th and being booted for a tainted client; I'm presented with an IC fail. I've attached an image of the apparently tainted files. All 4 of these files I've deleted and redownloaded, and even tried copying from the Steam version. Again to no avail. I really am at a loss at this point, I'm by result essentially barred from playing online. I've attatched both the DCS.log (in a zipped file) and a screenshot showing the 4 files causing my misery. dcs.zip

As Weta43 said, FM seems to be receiving updates but the guidance not so. I have seen mechanical energy graphs of the AIM-120B which show it lofting somewhat but post going pitbull the guidance is still poor. This leads to rapid energy loss in turn decreasing the range. With regards the original question posed, I haven't heard of any updates to the A2G weaponry myself but that isn't to say nothing has been done. ED seems to slip these things in under the radar.

Go here - C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config Open file options.lua in notepad++ Change line 58 to this - ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "1camera",

Zeus, you might just be the greatest salesman of all time!

As GGTharos sort of mentioned, it's not entirely classified. The different types and how they work is well documented and easily available online. It's the specific working of an individual system that's tightly under wraps. As a rule the jamming in DCS is absolutely pointless. The burn through range is further out than your maximum launch range (partly down to the inaccuracy of the missiles) so the jamming has no effect. Aside from annoying your team mates at long ranges. In reality the whole point of ECM is to force your enemy to get closer than they'd like in order to get a launch-able lock. There's a brilliant pdf document out there which covers almost every type of jamming amongst other things. Someone sent it me on reddit but I never saved the link. GGTharos might have a link if he knows which one I'm on about?

Truth be told I don't think not having TAD maps and advanced GPS gadgets will be that big a problem on the Normandy '44 map. Most if not everyone will be in WW2 birds. The map isn't designed for contemporary stuff and I can live with that.

Oh I see. Is it possible to mod our current GUI to make it like that or is it more effort than it's worth?
-
Ironhand, where did you get that ME gui mod? I need it!
-
I don't know exactly what they represent but if I was to hazard a guess it would be; ["Unit class"] = {x distance from unit, y distance from unit} x being ground distance y being height But again this is just a guess. I don't know for certain. P.S. You might have more luck if this was posted in the modding section of the forums?

Caucasus but when Straight of Hormuz drops, that'll probably take the lead position.

Gault05 you're thread has been somewhat derailed but here's something that will help;
